#Outdoor temperature problem (2008-11-28) I ve own one of these for the past five years, and they are great. There is nothing better than being able to know how hot or cold it is outside, while I am getting ready for work. I recently bought one of the units that give you the three day weather forcast. I wasn t sure how much better it would be, but it is nice, being able to know wheather it will be sunny, cloudy or rainy. (We don t get much snow down in Memphis)But anyway, the reason I m writing is because of the problem people have mentioned with the outdoor temperature not showing...
#Seems to work fine. (2008-11-19) At first I thought it might be defective. So I read the instructions :) My only beef is that the range of sensor seems considerably smaller than it s supposed to be. When I moved it about 50 from the base, the signal was unreliable.
#Keep out of direct sunlight (2008-11-17) Work s great. Just make sure the outside unit is out of direct sunlight or it will say it is much hotter than it is.
#Doesn t receive through walls (2008-11-08) Simply, this product doesn t work. The receiver doesn t receive the outside sensor signal through an outside wall. If you place the sensor within ten feet without walls, it works fine, but it does not fulfill its description. Avoid this product!
#CAUTION - Doesn t adjust PST/PDT on the new schedule. (2008-10-29) My La Crosse clock does not reset/adjust itself on the new PST/PDT time schedule. We live on the west coast near Watsonville, Ca. The clock resets on the old schedule and there is no way to adjust or correct it. Customer support will not even consider such a problem and suggest putting in a fresh battery, which I did but of course didn t work.

#This is a $$$ saver (2008-12-02) this charger is the best i had some rechargeable batteries laing around from 2002-2003 they wouldn t not hold a charge anymore did a refresh cycle on them are boom they work almost as good as when i got them maybe missing a 5% of the capacity they used to have. but considering they wouldn t hold a charge before that incredible. . . reading other reviews i never had any problems with this charger it gets warm when discharging but not hot and defenatly not on fire =)great buy =)
#Glad I trusted the reviews! (2008-12-01) I ve looked at rechargeable batteries as a solution for a long time, but always from a distance. Three years ago, I picked up a $20 retail store charger and battery combo and took it for a spin. Within a month, the batteries wouldn t hold a charge. I didn t understand it and didn t research at the time, so I tossed it all. Recently, I started looking at rechargeables again. Between Xbox 360 controllers, remotes, and cameras, rechargeables just seemed to make sense if they could ever work right. That s when I went into overdrive research mo...
#Best battery charger going!! (2008-12-01) This charger does it all! Can recharge, refurbish and test your batteries and all at a great price! Great product!!
#Great little battery charger (2008-11-30) I ve only had this charger for a couple of week. It s so easy to use and the charged batteries last longer then standard one use batteries. I didn t realize that the AA batteries have converters to make them into C s and D s. . . . . They work great. . . I use the batteries in 2 small fans that require D cells. I also bought a set of 4 AAA s for my battery powered toothbrush and camera. I consider this a very good product.
#Quite the gadget (2008-11-26) I bought the La Crosse BC-900 after having repeated problems with dead NiMH AA batteries used in a wireless telephone system. I found out that the batteries I had been using had gone from 2650 mah to less than 300 milliamp hours. The telephone charging stations were rejecting the batteries. I was able to test and determine most of the batteries were of poor quality. By Refreshing, and testing, one can determine the actual MAH capacity of a battery and pair it with another of like capacity. One trick is to mark each battery with a unique number, build...

#On the Go Weather Station (2008-11-23) La Crosse Technology WS-9611U Wireless Sun/Moon Weather Station with 15 Advanced Forecast IconsThis is a great mobile unit with its out side sensor, great for RVing, camping & boating, has acceptable range of transmission. So whats not to like. Easy to set up clear instructions. Four out of Five stars not perfect but what is!!!E. DeardorffPrineville OR.
#Horribly Inaccurate (2008-11-19) I bought this because it seemed like a cool idea. However I noticed that the temp readings are depressingly inaccurate, ESPECIALLY the outdoor temp. I have access to very expensive equipment at work that reads temperatures and this was off by about 4-5 degrees for the indoor temp and about 10-12 degrees for outdoor temp. Man I would be embarassed to release a product that performed so poorly at the job it was supposed to do. It s cool in concept and wouldn t be a bad idea if you don t care about the useless temp readings.
#Don t buy the TX6U with the WS-9611U-IT (2008-11-18) The weather station gets four out of five stars, but I give Amazon a big zero for the frequently purchased with feature of their site. It recommends buying the TX6U wireless temperature sensor with this unit, but it is not compatible. The TX6U is a 433 Mhz sensor but the weather station uses a 915 Mhz sensor (the TX29U-IT). Don t buy the TX6U with this model weather station. I subtract one star for the weather station because the two little green LEDs on the right side barely illuminate the screen when the back light is activated...
#Great little weather station. (2008-11-15) For the price, this is a great little weather station. Check the dimensions, it is fairly small, but just big enough to sit on our kitchen counter to be checked several times a day. I like the little man, his predictions of rain are pretty accurate, although he often bundles up a bit sooner than I do. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.
#The weatherman (2008-11-10) La Crosse Technology WS-9611U Wireless Sun/Moon Weather Station with 15 Advanced Forecast IconsOnce I understood the manual, it works wonderfully. The little weatherman changing outfits is totally innovative.

#Not bad for the price (2008-12-01) This item was easy to set up. Make sure you use fresh battiers otherwise it will affect the signal strength to the remote. Also before you mount the remote make sure you can get a signal to the station. I just set the remote on the fence near the desired location and if the signal worked then I mounted it. Only things that is strange is that the outside temperture reading somethings is way off, but it soon correct it self. It does what I needed it to do!
#Great weather station and atomic clock (2008-11-29) I m a La Crosse weather station fan. This unit is by far the best of the three I ve bought (for myself and for family members) with its easy-to-read display, moon phases, barometric pressure graph, forecaster, and atomic clock in addition to both indoor and outdoor temperatures and humidity. It even displays a frowning face if the humidity, inside or out, is too low for comfort. Set up is easy and takes mere minutes. The only tricky part is paying attention to the order in which you install the batteries. You install the remo...
#Big & Beautiful (2008-11-19) I bought this yesterday on a Gold Box half price sale and WOW what a deal! Then it arrived today via FS USPS!! I currently own The Weather Channel La Crosse WS-9055TWC and La Crosse Technology WS-9611U and still use and enjoy both of them, particularly the latter since it has the cute clothing icon. This attractive big boy really outshines both in design and features (okay, this one does retail for 2-3 times their price point in all fairness). This is a great weather station that has real metal wings although the body is metal colored plastic the same as t...
#One reason not to (2008-11-18) I can only think of one reason not to. Lacrosse makes the professional models with wind speed, wind chill, rainfall amounts that can be transferred to your computer via their software for about 20 bucks more at least at the time of my purchase. Was the best seller on amazon. com. This is an excellent device though. I frequently check the outdoor temp with computer and almost always are exact or within a degree. Humidity readings are also very close. I wouldn t bet my family fortune on the barometric pressure forcaster but it is quite accurate. Syncs...
#Amazing, Geeky and Cool! (2008-11-18) I received a well deserved C in Meteorology in College, but when I got the Wireless Weather Station, I was stunned at what I had missed and what this device can offer. Quite simply, an outdoor sensor (a small iPod sized `thermo/hygro sensor ) placed on an outside post or wall acts as the receptor of information from, yes, the NIST (National Institute of Standards & Technology-Time and Frequency Division) radio station, WWVB, in Ft. Collins, Colorado, daily. Also using the local weather, the sensor transmits tons of information to the very cool...

This stylish atomic clock and portable weather stations is widely popular due to its quality, accuracy and attractive appearance. The wireless home weather station features a newer, faster IT transmission time of every four seconds for outside weather. The weather forecaster can also read outside temperatures down to negative 39.8-degrees. Atomic time and date, as well as outside temperature, inside temperature, and inside humidity are all clearly displayed on the easy to read digital face. The weather station is made of plastic with a modern silver finish complemented by cherry finished panels for a sophisticated look! Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.

#this is a must have (2008-12-02) I use it before I go out to know otside currect temperature. I have 2 weather stations one in my bedroom and one in the office. Very accurate and reliable.
#LaCrosse Wireless Weather Station WS-7014CH-IT (2008-10-15) I am very satisfied with this item. I like its great look (matches with my room decor), performance, accuracy of data and particularly instant (continuous) data transfer from the outdoor Swiss made precision sensor that came with the weather station. The forecast icon (Sunny, Cloudy and rainy) based on changing barometric pressure provides a good visual indication of expected weather. Along with above it has a good digital clock showing atomic time and date with provision for manual setting plus alarm function. I would hig...
#Works very well, when you need to check temperature and humidity (2008-09-30) This wireless weather station is very easy to install and use, and keep records of hi & low temperatures in order to track the weather during long periods. The forecast, as all the forecast, works with 35 to 45% of accuracy. The distance between main station and the transmitters is more than enough and adequate to work without troubles. .
#La Crosse Wireless Weather Station (2008-09-04) This is a very accurate product. I use it in my Greenhouse and it works very well.
#Much Better than Expected (2008-09-01) I have had several weather stations from varying brands over the past decade. This model from LaCrosse Technology works better than them all. It is simple to program (don t throw away the instructions. . . settings are not entirely intuitive), the readout is vividly clear, the temperature readings for hot, hot Phoenix appear to be relatively accurate, the forecast provides for multiple sensitivity settings (important for the dry desert), and the whole thing is surprisingly attractive.
