More is more sometimes, at least in the world of small appliances. KitchenAid has introduced a new member of the stand mixer family, known as the Artisan mixer. It has a tilting head, like the KSM90, but it has a larger 5 qt. capacity bowl. It also gives you more oomph, as in 325 watts of cookie dough busting power. What s not to love? If you ve been considering a stand mixer, this may be the perfect starter model for you.

#All star review for Kitchenaide Mixer (2008-12-02) My wife loves her new Kitchenaide Mixer. She has wanted one for a long time. When we saw the price we couldn t resist. She has already used it many times and just loves it. She looks forward to using it for many years to come.
#Excellent product! (2008-12-01) I can t add much to what s already been written, but I bought mine in Onyx Black. It looks great sitting in my kitchen. I really loved the Empire Red, but I thought the Onyx would look less of a fad and go with whatever colors I decorated with in the future. I ve owned a bowl-lift Pro model, but it was too tall to sit under the cabinets when not in use, and really, it had unnecessary power for just a home kitchen, in my opinion. Also, if you have the option, get your paddle attachment in the white enamel instead of the stainless steel, it discolors i...
#a machine that all family must have (2008-12-01) I enjoy cooking so much, and I must say that this machine is a must. This machine makes my life much more easier in the kitchen, and it makes my food tastes a lot better.
#Very Pleased (2008-12-01) I was very pleased with my new mixer. It does everything advertised and the directions are very easy to follow. Also the price was fabulous.
#It is great. (2008-11-29) I have been using it to make a lot of things, but especially sour dough bread. I am very pleased with how easy it is to use. Delivery was excellent. I had it in less than a week from ordering.

#Still a kitchen classic (2008-11-30) Could it really be that the cuisinart classic offered from Amazon was the same sturdy kitchen workhorse that I received as a wedding gift 15 years ago? Offered at 30% less than I know my mom paid for it then? Yes, yes Virginia it is true. Except for the fact that this model still weighs more than the motor in your Prius, and occasionally you might want a larger capacity work bowl, you really ought to have one. Your cooking will improve and your teeth might even whiten on their own if you order one. Mine did.
#Terrific food processor! Quick delivery! (2008-11-29) This is my third Cuisinart food processor. I do a lot of cooking and would be lost without it. I especially like this latest model because the plastic bowl and lid pieces are meant to go in the dishwasher, which means they won t slowly crumble like on my last Cuisinart. Also, the old pieces fit on this machine, which gives me a spare (slightly eroded) bowl and lid. A few years ago, I replaced one of the lid pieces at a cost of about $35. This time, I received a whole new machine for $100 (used ones are going for $75 on eBay). ...
#The food processor to own (2008-11-23) Does all I expected and more, a true value, all others I looked at don t come with attachments like this one. Cuisinart is the best.
#Cuisinart (2008-11-19) It s an awesome food processor. Grew up on one, now it s in my home too.
#Kitchen wonderland (2008-11-16) If you have the space for this baby, it will be your best friend. With this product you can cook a dinner for 100 vegetarians and still have time for a pedicure. Cleaning them is a bit of a pain. . . but with the time it saved you from peeling and slicing, it s a small price to pay.

For fun and easy salad preparation, try the OXO GOOD GRIPS Salad Spinner. Simply press the soft, non-slip knob to start the basket spinning. Easy, one-handed operation makes this Spinner a pleasure to use, and a built-in brake stops the Salad Spinner so you can unload it. A non-slip ring keeps the bowl steady on the countertop, and the basket and bowl can be used separately. Top-rack dishwasher safe

#Great Salad Spinner (2008-12-01) I had a salad spinner before and didn t like it. The greens were still wet no matter how much I spun them. This one dries the greens very well. It is so easy to spin.
#TOO SMALL (2008-12-01) I Thought I was getting a normal regular size everyday salad spinner, why should I by small and pay the same price when you can get more for the money? And nothing different or special about this item anyway? I have looked over 20 Salad Spinner and compared them all. My final decision went to much better item than this one. Just my opinion based on personal research.
#Love it. (2008-11-16) I bought this spinner to replace my old pull cord version. That cord was always flopping out of the cupboard and being generally annoying. I love how this version is self contained and you can push the pump down and lock it in place for storage. Dries my greens quickly!
#Nice Kitchen Tool (2008-11-11) This was an early Christmas gift from my husband (since he FOUND his present in the closet early). I ve been wanting this since seeing it mentioned in, I think it was, Cooks Illustrated magazine. I haven t gotten to use it much, but what use it s had so far, it s great!
#Salad Spinner my eye! It s a tofu drainer! (2008-11-11) I got this item with the express intention of using it to wring out tofu, which it does pretty well. There is some crumbling, and it doesn t get as dry as leaving it in (wasteful) paper towels for hours, but it doesn t take hours, either. I ve also used it to wring excess moisture out of onions and other vedge to avoid soggy end-results (as advised by the great and mighty Alton). And who knows? maybe some day lettuce or other salad greens may actually see the inside of this thing. Also, the basket is a quick and handy sec...

COMPACT STAINLESS STEEL BOTTLE,

#SImply incredible (2008-11-21) I gave this puppy a test run the firat day i owned it. At 8pm I made a full kettle of hot tea, depositing most of it into the Thermos. I drank it throughout the next day, and at 5pm it was still sufficiently hot I had to sip it. Virtually no loss in heat whasoever. I have yet to try it for cold liquids, but that is not what I bought it for. I opened it five or six times across the 21-hour period over which it held the tea, and this did not cause any issue with heat retention. Great product, best thermos I have ever had. Goes particularly wel...
#Great thermos (2008-11-11) I originally bought this thermos to bring protein shakes to work. The thermos did keeps the shakes really cold for hours but the smoothie would separate very quickly and would lose flavor (not the fault of the thermos). So now I pretty much use it for milk, which it does keep cold all day. Thermos seals very well, so well, it s often hard for me to unscrew the cap because of the suction ( I have to enlist the help of a coworker), but this does prevent leaks. It is hard to clean inside though without a bottle brush. The milk gets stuck on the bottom...
#HOT! (2008-10-15) This thermal bottles keeps the water HOT after 12 hours. It is still warm after almost 2 days. 34 oz is not big enough for me, but the size of the bottle is good. The item delivered on time.
#A Must Buy (2008-10-02) This is a great thermos that I have been using pretty much daily. I originally bought it due to not drinking enough water so I wanted to drink more on my way to work. Though did not want to deal with either taking my own glass, or a disposable one in the car, and also worry about it spilling. So I looked around and bought this one from amazon. Its stainless steel and has been dropped a few times by me but still no noticeable dents or scratches. The top unscrews and can be used as a cup but I tend to just drink straight from the thermos itself. Then ins...
#Amazing product (2008-09-25) I was a bit skeptical of their temperature preservation claims but I just needed something to keep my coffee drinkable through my first break at work. Much to my surprise the coffee came out steaming hot several hours after I sealed it in there. For my coffee to still be disfiguringly hot after so much time had passed was amazing. Definitely get this thermos over any others.
Misto Gourmet Stainless-Steel Olive Oil Sprayer, Black Band

For spreading olive oil evenly on bruschetta, focaccia, and grilled or roasted vegetables, and for spraying muffin and cake pans with vegetable oil, this dispenser is a nifty tool. A plastic cap underneath the sprayer s top twists off so the sprayer can be half-filled (1/3 cup) with oil. Inside the top is a plastic tube that fits over the spray nozzle. Push the top up and down to pump air pressure into the canister. Then spray for 10 seconds and pump up again. It s simple, ingenious, and practical. With its cap on, the sprayer stands just 7-5/8 inches high, so it tucks away easily on any countertop. Made of satin-finish stainless steel with a black-band accent, it s sleek as well as utilitarian. --Fred Brack

#NICE ITEM! (2008-11-14) I hesitated to order one after reading the negative reviews but I did it anyway. Since receiving it and using it for almost 6 months I ve decided those reviewers don t know how to use it. I love mine and use it almost every day. I ve saved a lot of money not buying Pam for the same purpose.
#Great Mister (2008-07-03) I loved it, light weight, it really mist not spray. Just remember fill it half way throw and don t pump more than 10 times.
#Metal is mostly asthetic (2008-06-19) I ve had a plastic version of this mister which has served me well for many years and was looking for another only in case the first one finally failed. I chose a metal one hoping that metal would make it even tougher (to last even longer ,^). But, although I had the impression that the entire unit would be metal, in fact, only the outer shell that is so -- the inner workings remain the plastic vessel, etc. Of course my plastic one has become discolored with age, but the plastic shell is tough and I wouldn t worry about much less than an elep...
#Stylish Garbage (2008-04-23) The Misto arrived and we happily filled it about half-way with oil per instructions. Pumped it and sprayed. Worked well but pressure seemed low. Looked a plunger and found it was cracked. Returned it to Amazon for a replacement. That arrived quickly at no charge. We opened it and looked at the plunger. OMG! It was cracked in the same place! We are returning it for money back. Too bad. This could be a super little product but clearly the manufacturer either does not care or is simply not capable of making a real product.
#Good idea, not well executed (2007-12-25) This is a good idea. It is like a refillable version of a can of cooking spray. By filling it yourself, you can be certain that what is in it is just oil, with no additives. I was pretty surprised to learn that many cooking sprays contain silicone oil. Safe to eat, but that doesn t mean I want to!Unfortunately, the spray turned out to be pretty weak. It also takes a lot of pumping to get enough out. Oil is a fairly viscous liquid, so it is hard to pump it out using only air pressure, as this device does. After a short period of ...
