Wouldn t this make a great gift for a student, or a commuter? The machine brews right into the thermal travel mug and then shuts itself off, so your favorite coffee lover can simply grab and go!

#Great inexpensive product (2008-12-02) This is a great product. It is perfect for people who insist on a fresh brewed cup. I use the inexpensive round basket filters folded in half and half again. I insert them with 3 sections on one side and one section on the other in order to trap the grounds. This is my second machine over the last 15 years. The first is still in use at a friend s house. I have made thousands of freshly brewed cups with no problems and little expense. I had to throw the included mug away, however, because an unpleasant smell from the plastic liner would neve...
#Blujay (2008-11-28) This product works as advertized. It makes a great cup of coffee. I did not get any grounds in the cup as others have noted. I think the finer the grind may cause grounds to slip through the filter. I wish the stainless steel cup was also stainless in the inside instead of plastic.
#Black N Decker wonderful (2008-11-26) This is a wonderful coffee maker. I have had one for 5 yrs and it has never failed me. So, I bought one for my friend for Christmas. . It is an excellent gift. She will just love it! I know I love mine!!!!
#Loved it - until it broke (2008-11-25) I got this as a Christmas present in 2007 and I loved it. I didn t use it very often, maybe a few times a month, but it was very convenient and I had no problems with it. Recently, I made coffee one day, and the very next day the machine wouldn t turn on. I tried all the outlets in the kitchen. . . nothing. I don t know if something internal burned out or what, but the light won t come on when I push the switch, and it s been dead ever since. I would consider buying another, but I don t want it to die on me in another year!
#travel coffee maker review (2008-11-24) This product was exactly what I had thought it was going to be except I think it could be made smaller for traveling purposes. Delivery was very good, I got it in a matter of 2-3 days.

#B&D Coffee Maker (2008-12-02) I ordered the B&D coffee maker after my old Mr. C. gave up the ghost. First, I read Consumer Reports. Then I ordered their top rated coffee maker. No regrets! This is a great coffee maker. It has a very comfortable grip on the carafe and pours beautifully, with no drips. Maybe I m just dreaming, but the coffee actually seems to taste better than with my old maker. Bottom line -- it s an outstanding product at a great price.
#Disappointed (2008-11-30) Black& Decker DCM2500 SmartBrew 12-Cup CoffeemakerAfter much research, I purchased this Consumer Reports highly rated Best Buy 6 weeks ago. While it makes a great cup of coffee, the carafe leaks. It seems to be coming from the area where the plastic handle/spout component joins the glass. I have attempted to resolve this with Black and Decker, only to find out that they have sold this product line to Applica. Attempts to contact Applica reroute me back to the Black and Decker web page where I started. I give up.
#Coffee Maker Has A Few Issues. (2008-11-26) I had ordered this product and had to send first one back cause water resivour was cracked and leaked. Second one I recieved works but has some issues. Good: Makes a good cup of coffee, very well designed coffee pot, pause and serve feature works like a charm (no drips whatsoever), nice looking coffee maker. Bad: Digital clock display has been messed up from day one, acts af if parts of display are burned out at times and other times shows correctly, when you raise lid to add water the condesation runs off it and always ends up on counter,...
#fine product works as advertised (2008-11-23) I bought this because of 3 reasons:*cheap price*auto shut off after 2 hours*automatic pauses dripping when you remove pot.
#Black & Decker Smart Brew (2008-11-23) This is a Consumer Report Best Buy. And, it certainly makes an excellent pot of coffee. I ve had several coffee makers, but none of them compare to this one. If you re an avid coffee drinker, you need this coffee brewer.

Many coffeemakers make 6 or more cups of coffee. How often do you need 6 cups? If you really appreciate coffee, then, chances are, you like each cup to be freshly brewed Note - your Good Old Favorite Mug may or may not fit in this coffeemaker--experimentation is the key!

#Black & Decker one cup coffee maker (2008-12-02) The Black & Decker Cup-At-A-Time makes one small cup of coffee at a time. When new it does have a plastic taste. I hope this will go away over time. You can wash the brew basket in the dish washer but not the main unit. No cup is furnished so you need to furnish your own. Forget a tall cup, it will only handle a small one. Make sure you put a cup under the nozzle before you turn it on. As soon as you turn it on coffee comes out immediately. I do not plan to use the furnished wire basket. Instead I found that a regular 8-12...
#Very good coffee maker (2008-11-29) I ve had this coffee maker for about 10 years now. I use it mainly on weekends - maybe 5 cups/week. I have never had a problem with it. It makes very good coffee without the waste of making a whole pot (I m single). It s not an eye catcher sitting on the counter - but, what do you want for [. . . ] bucks. It s very good at it s intended purpose. The only issue that I have is with cleaning the inside water tank. It s pretty nearly impossible to get anything in there to clean it. After a while, a calcium build up will result with a change in col...
#Instant Hot Water (2008-11-26) I order these coffee makers like crazy. People laugh at first when they hear that I keep one in my bathroom to get instant hot water to wash my face morning and evening. My bathroom is such a long distance from the water heater that I hate wasting water and spending so much time waiting for hot water. I love this little instant (and cheap) hot water dispenser. The instant water heater they sell to install in your bathroom is very expensive and takes up needed space under the counter. This little jewel is my answer and I just throw it away once it qui...
#Great for traveling (2008-11-18) This is just the right size to bring along with you on trips, or in an office. It takes up a really small amount of space. It s ideal for those of us who just want that one or maybe two cups of coffee. I love the size, all the other one cup makers took up twice as much space. This makes a great gift too for those friends and relatives who do alot of traveling.
#Exactly what I wanted (2008-11-16) There have been many times that I wanted a cup of coffee but I didn t want to make a whole pot just for myself. So I found this B&D Cup-At-A-Time Coffeemaker, but when I saw the price I thought it must not be very good. Wrong! After looking at what other people on amazon had said about this coffeemaker I decided to purchase 2 of them, one for my mom and one for me. We both already have the whole bean coffee and grinder so we could use it now for either our 12-pot coffeemakers or our One-cup coffermakers. And we didn t have to get the special ...

#need suggestions! (2008-12-01) I was on here to get this for a gift since i really like mine. it only provides enough room underneath to feel like i have more counter space and less stuff to move when i wipe my counters. I guess i ll look for a coffee maker with better reviews for my gift. i did notice on ours that it only brews 10 out of the 12 cups of water. i always use filtered water and we run coffee cleaner cycles. we got this only about 2-3 months ago. the main problem i have is how steam just bursts out around the top, getting the cabinet it s mounted to all wet. ...
#Skip this item (2008-11-27) Black & Decker ODC440B Spacemaker Coffeemaker, BlackI gave the B&D ODC440B one star because that is the minimum rating. I never got to brew coffee. The first two runs to clean the brewer leaked or overflowed water all over the counter top, then shorted out the unit.
#Still a good buy (2008-11-17) This is my second purchase of this spacemaker coffeemaker. The install was a little more complex than the earlier version but it still went very well.
#Black & Decker Spacemaker ODC440B (2008-11-08) I have had Spacemaker coffeemakers for the last 12 years. I love the fact that this gives me extra counter space and has a timer, so my coffee is ready when I wake up. This model makes hotter coffee than my others and also keeps the coffee hotter, which I like. The main complaint I have with this model is it drips water on my counter top because the filter holder sweats. It automatically goes off after 2 hours and I like the automatic shut off feature, but I wish it would give you at least 4 hours until it shuts off. This coffeemaker...
#Black and Decker under the counter coffee maker (2008-10-31) We used it once and it would not work again. We returned the item, and received a prompt credit from seller. We decided not to re-order. Seller had good customer service, we just changed our mind.

#Works well (2008-12-02) I like this machine, it works well and allows for a fresh cup of coffee when I want one. I like that I can throw the filter into the dishwasher or just give it a quick rinse. My only issue with the DCM18 is that the cover for the mug does not maintain a tight seal. It pops off when I put it on, which makes for dangerous drinking conditions when the coffee is hot! Overall, this is a nice unit with a small footprint on the kitchen counter.
#Good Coffeemaker (2008-11-16) I love this coffeemaker. I only drink about 2 cups of coffee per day, so this is perfect. It is also great for brewing 1 cup of tea. It is a good buy for the price.
#Great ... you just have to know a couple of tricks (2008-11-08) I have had this coffee maker for about a year now. When I first got it and used it as instructed it was a big disappointment. Coffee grounds everywhere and very hard to clean. I read one professional review that gave me some tips. If you use the filter that comes with it, watch it constantly while it is brewing. Don t let the filter got too full of water. You kind of stir the grounds as the water passes through. The other better option is to throw out the filter that comes with it and use a disposable filter....
#Poor Design (2008-11-07) As many said it overflows the coffee grounds. The built in filter is the worst. The grounds go over the top and into the water resavoir and down into the mug. I also tried #1 paper filters and the coffee grounds still go over the top.
#Great Lil Coffee Maker (2008-11-03) I love Coffee. . . the wife doesn t. But as much as I love coffee, I can t drink an entire pot of it myself. This little baby is the perfect solution. I ve used one at home for about 2 years, and just bought a second one for the office. Here s a deviation from the standard instructions that I follow and have found practical. I use a coffee filter. . . . I know it says that you don t need one, and you don t really. But, I have found using a filter has a few advantages. 1) It eliminates the crumbs in the bottom of my mug. 2) It helps cut the bi...
