#Don t buy this from Amazon! (2008-10-27) One star isn t what I give the actual product, but rather the experience I had trying to get it from Amazon. The first arrived broken, they sent a second one, it arrived in even worse shape than the first. Other reviewers have complained about the same thing - obviously the shipping method being used isn t adequate. I ended up getting one elsewhere - all it took was a little bubble wrap and it arrived in perfect shape. The item itself is great, but I d get it elsewhere!

#Love it (2008-10-19) We love having spreadable butter right by the toaster. Works great, especially in fall/winter when the house is a little cooler. We tried one from a potter first because we liked the looks better, but it had a lip on the butter dish part that was hard to work around when removing butter and cleaning. The open bell is much better.

#butter keeper (2008-10-03) This is an attractive, well-made and useful item. Put the butter in the top, add cold water to the base, invert the top and your butter will stay at room temperature (spreadable and easy to handle) and will not go rancid because no air can get to it.

#Norpro Butter Keeper - Greatest thing next to sliced bread (2008-09-24) I bought this to replace another one I had had for years. It works great! It stays on the counter so it s always readily available and is always at a spreadable temperature. It ll hold one stick of butter and the butter stays fresh for about one week (probably longer, but we go through it quickly). Add cold water to just cover the bell when inserted into the crock and no air is allowed into the butter chamber preventing rancid butter. Replace the water once a day. Enjoy!

#Horrible in microwave (2008-11-07) I bought these to replace some cheapo s we had. Twice they have deformed in the microwave while cooking in under a minute and a half. The cheapo s don t even do that. I don t know if we just got a bad batch, other reviews seem good. They were purchased 9/26/2008.

#switch to glass (2008-11-22) I got these containers because of the dangers of plastic. I ve enjoyed using these for freezing meals for the week. The only thing I don t like is that they get extremely hot in the microwave. So use caution and oven mits. Which is fine at home, but becomes a lot of work at the office.

Vacuum package your food with the Tilia FoodSaver system and it will stay fresh 3-5 times longer. These bags are freezer safe and actually prevent freezer burn. They can be microwaved or boiled to cook the food within.

#Cheaper and more convenient than the bags (2008-11-13) We freeze a large amount of summer produce from our garden and from our CSA subscription. These rolls are the best way of doing that. Not inexpensive, but definitely cheaper than the individual bags and more convenient by being individually sizable.

#Rolls save money - cut to size (2008-09-24) I buy the rolls so I can cut them to any size I want without wasting the bag. If I want to freeze 2 chicken breast - no waste of bag, if I want to freeze 4 chicken breasts - cut to size. I love that I can stack the chicken in the freezer without it falling over. We just bought 30 lbs of chicken breasts - boneless at Albertsons because they were offering them at $1. 97 lb. You can t let that get past with todays prices.

It is a good quality plastic and seems much more sturdy than the over-the-counter bags you buy at the store. The rolls are pricey, but again, compared to other options given at the store, I think these are the best deal overall. #Great if you have a kid (2008-09-08) If you are like us you have grapes and blueberries in the fridge at all times. Before we were placing them in bowls with paper towels to suck up the moisture. These containers are fantastic. Also they are made of Polypropylene so they are BPA free.

#Dried my vegetables out too much.... (2008-09-03) I was excited about these storage containers as I eat a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables and it s hard to keep them for more than a day or so. These containers dried my fruit and vegetables out TOO much. They were dry and shriveled after two days.
