More is more sometimes, at least in the world of small appliances. KitchenAid has introduced a new member of the stand mixer family, known as the Artisan mixer. It has a tilting head, like the KSM90, but it has a larger 5 qt. capacity bowl. It also gives you more oomph, as in 325 watts of cookie dough busting power. What s not to love? If you ve been considering a stand mixer, this may be the perfect starter model for you.

#All star review for Kitchenaide Mixer (2008-12-02) My wife loves her new Kitchenaide Mixer. She has wanted one for a long time. When we saw the price we couldn t resist. She has already used it many times and just loves it. She looks forward to using it for many years to come.
#Excellent product! (2008-12-01) I can t add much to what s already been written, but I bought mine in Onyx Black. It looks great sitting in my kitchen. I really loved the Empire Red, but I thought the Onyx would look less of a fad and go with whatever colors I decorated with in the future. I ve owned a bowl-lift Pro model, but it was too tall to sit under the cabinets when not in use, and really, it had unnecessary power for just a home kitchen, in my opinion. Also, if you have the option, get your paddle attachment in the white enamel instead of the stainless steel, it discolors i...
#a machine that all family must have (2008-12-01) I enjoy cooking so much, and I must say that this machine is a must. This machine makes my life much more easier in the kitchen, and it makes my food tastes a lot better.
#Very Pleased (2008-12-01) I was very pleased with my new mixer. It does everything advertised and the directions are very easy to follow. Also the price was fabulous.
#It is great. (2008-11-29) I have been using it to make a lot of things, but especially sour dough bread. I am very pleased with how easy it is to use. Delivery was excellent. I had it in less than a week from ordering.

#Makes great vegan ice cream (2008-11-25) My mom gave me this ice cream maker as a Christmas present a few years ago. My husband and I are vegan, so we were really excited about creating new vegan ice cream recipes. (I eventually started compiling them in my blog, A Vegan Ice Cream Paradise. ) We ve never had a problem with the machine. Every recipe I ve invented has frozen nicely. I keep the bowl in the freezer all of the time, so I can make ice cream whenever I feel like it. I do wish that the plastic covering/shield thing was dishwasher-safe, because it can be a pain to clean, es...
#Cold vanilla soup... (2008-11-17) Was so excited to receive my ice cream maker. Froze the bowl for 2 1/2 days and chilled the custard overnight. The mixture never thickened up or froze at all. What a waste of money and cream.
#Great buy for the $$$ (2008-11-17) Love this ice cream maker for the price. It makes just enough for 3-4 people. The recipe book contains great basics and all have been tasty. My only recommendation is to be sure you completely freeze the bowl solid before you make your first batch, at least 24 hours.
#Great Machine (2008-11-10) I own this machine, and have had lots of fun making ice cream with it time and time again. I ve owned it for about 3 years now. . . It works great. Some people recommend buying an extra freezer bowl--but I think i m going to just buy a whole nother unit, since the bowl is $30 and the unit is $48. . . so for $18 I m getting the ability to make two batches. . . and at the exact same time!
#Great value (2008-10-28) Probably you have too many kitchen gadgets as well. I really try to think it through before adding another to my overstocked cabinets, but this was a good one. If you love ice cream, and in particular home made, the Cuisinart is handy, fast (20 minutes), and doesn t require you to make a scary 6 quarts! The 1-1/2 quart is perfect. Even if you have leftovers, if you wrap carefully and defrost for 30 seconds in the microwave you can enjoy it a second night. Not having to commit to a huge amount, I made basil ice cream using the basil in my summer herb ga...

A great accessory for your KitchenAid stand mixer. This set features a roller to knead and roll your pasta, a fettuccine cutter, and a spaghetti cutter. Each is easy to install and easy to remove for cleaning with the including cleaning brush. Fits all KitchenAid stand mixers, not shown.

#Too Much Fun! (2008-11-11) OK, it s official. . . I m a cooking gadget addict, and these pasta rollers are the perfect fix! It s so much fun to roll out your own fresh and tasty pasta. I found the set to be sturdy, good quality, and extremely easy to use. They are a bit pricey but if you love to cook from scratch and appreciate a good gadget you ll probably find these worth the cost.
#Good product (2008-11-10) I was worried about not being able to immerse it in water - turns out that this is not a problem at all. Pasta dough is really dry, so dry it seems it won t turn into anything. Hardly any dough stuck to the rollers, and it was really easy to brush off. I think this is a worthwhile attachment for the KA. It s very well designed, and is easy to use, once you get the hang of it. I was going to go the budget route, and get a manual pasta maker, and I m SO glad I got this attachment instead. Having the KA do all the hard work allows you to guide this in a...
#not good at all.... from an Italian (2008-11-09) I purchased my KA mixer a few weeks ago and I just got now this attachment. I was really looking forward to get it, I m Italian, living outside my Country, and I always made home made pasta by hand. Well, the mixer worked fine, the flat pasta came out allright after trying a few times, byt spaghetti and fettuccine were a total mess. The spaces are too close and the spaghetti will come out attached one to each other. They are drying right now, but they look more like lasagna than spaghetti. . . . And I tried to use more and more...
#Kitchenaid Pasta Maker (2008-10-25) This unit is one of the best attachments to my old K5A KitchenAid. Definitely worth the high price.
#Pasta For Dummies! (2008-10-19) I like to cook, thought it would be fun to make pasta at home. Did a little Amazon surfing, came across these attachments, saw that people liked it, thought I d give it a try: I successfully made pasta the same day the attachments were delivered. It took an attempt to get the dough right (so expect to lose at least one batch), but once I figured out what the dough was supposed to be like, the rest went like magic and was incredibly easy and fast.

#It is indeed a good breadmaking machine. (2008-12-02) Before I purchased this bread maker, I read a lot of reviews online for different products. Thanks to the people who offered their opinions, I finally bought this machine. From my experience of bread making so far, I am quite happy with this machine. It is quiet and good looking comparing with other models that my friends have. There is only one thing that I need to find out whether it is just this machine or normal for all: the top crust is ALWAYS much lighter than the sides. So, if I choose light for the crust, the top of the...
#Best Machine Ever (2008-12-02) Years ago my nephew loaned me his Zojirushi bread machine, it made good bread, I loved it. Then I had to return the machine to him. I then bought a Welbilt bread machine. I never got a good loaf out it. I have now purchased the Zojirushi BBCC-X20. I have made about 5 or 6 loaves and not a bad loaf in the bunch. I will NEVER-EVER buy a different brand of bread machine again. It s simple to use and simple to clean and the bread tastes GREAT. If you re looking for a bread machine, I really recommend this one.
#Best one yet (2008-11-28) after trying a couple of other bread makers the Zojirushi BBCCX20 has proven to be the best. As for the add beeps it is not as bad as some people say. After testing the crust setting we found that if you use the light setting it comes out perfect. We have made several breads with fruit and it does a good job of mixing. So far we have not had any bad bread and we are making a loaf atleast 3 times a week. The bread does come out pretty easy with a couple of shakes of the pan. The only draw back we could come up with is that my wife likes to lift the lid a...
#Pleased but only after making some adjustments (2008-11-22) This is going to be long, but I hope it will help someone else who is having trouble with their Zoji. I have been baking bread for years, and it s been a challenge to find a new bread machine. I literally wore out a GE breadmaker after almost 10 years of use, and was disappointed to learn they no longer make them. First try, I purchased a Breadman Ultimate, and took it back after using it twice - it was *very* poorly made, the pan would not stay locked in the clips and it banged around horribly during mixing. The brea...
#Good way to start making bread! (2008-11-22) I used to make bread the old fashioned way every Sunday morning, but being retired has shaken up my old routine. I bought this machine and found it simple to use, so far have made about 8 loaves of various breads, all good, if frankly, not as good as plain old up-to-the-elbows in flour made bread. But good enough to beat the almost $5 a loaf rustic breads in the local market. Easy to use and clean up. Takes some practice, but that s easy. The best part is when it s done, with butter and home-made jam.

Originally from Japan, this knife is quickly finding a following among American chefs. The curvature of the cutting edge offers great opportunity for rocking the blade while slicing and dicing. An excellent choice for cutting vegetables and meats into slices or cubes. This blade can cut paper thin slices, a great benefit to those who adore sushi and sashimi and the hollows within the blade keep food from sticking to it.

#SIMPLY OUTSTANDING! (2008-12-01) My professional background has been in the hospitality service industries for more than 20 years coming up through the ranks of food and beverage. I was a line dinner cook at the ager of 17. I have been putting this off this addition to my cutlery for too long. It does a fabulous job of fine slicing and dicing for smaller needs not requiring heavy prep. work. I am impressed on how sharp it is - WOW! This is a small light knife, that s very well balanced and feels great in the hand.
#Excellent Knife (2008-10-02) I have recently purchased the Wustof 7 Classic Santoku knive and am very pleased with it. It is the best and definetly the sharpest knive that I own. I also have knives from J. A. Henckles and R. H. Forschner and this knife is in a class above those. When stroked against a sharpening steel it even has a different higher pitched sound than the other two mentioned above, suggesting a higher quality knife steel with harder heat treating. The knife even right out of the box would slice ripe tomatoes with amazing ease. It is well balanced and was extreeml...
#The Perfect Knife (2008-09-29) If you don t have a knife fetish yet, this knife will start you on your way. Once you cut with a Wusthof, you ll never want to use anything else. I love this knife for chopping but what I really cherish it for is cutting translucent slices of onion, tomato, and pickle for sandwiches. I can t stand biting into a big chunk of onion. With this knife I slice lots of paper thin slices and interweave them with the other vegetables and meats. And shredding lettuce is a joy with this knife. I always get rave reviews on my sandwiches and until now, I v...
#Great knife- don t deny yourself (2008-07-28) I love to cook and have been doing so with a knife set I ve had for years. . . I finally decided to get one good knife and this one is it! I had no idea cutting things was so easy! It is a good size for me (I am 5 10) as it is not too small for my hands or too big either. It literally falls thru the veggies and meat too- a good all around knife. If you can only afford one knife, this one would be a good choice. Don t deny yourself any longer- the price is worth it.
#Awesome knife (2008-05-09) The classic Wusthof knives are the best I have ever used, and the santoku knives are my favorite.
