#Wow!!! Great projector for the money (2010-07-24) I decided to take the leap into the projection world after a power surge thru my satelite cable took my plasma hdtv out. I have always wanted to create a home theather, but never could justify it when I had a perfectly good tv already. Now that I have this little baby, there is no going back! I had done a lot of research on projectors, and this one was by far the best you can find for the money. Decided to purchase a 100 fixed screen from EliteScreens(they are the cheapest) to finish the room up. The combination of this projector an...
#My First Projector (2010-07-16) First things first, I am very picky customer. However, this is my first projector and I m not a videophile. I was torn between a 55 HDTV and projectors in general, until my friend set one up in his basement. I purchased the HD20, a Draper 106 screen, Sony HTS S370 Surround, all to go with my Playstation 3. Now that I have projector - there s no going back. I will never buy a Plasma/LCD/LED TV ever again. For under $1500, I now have 106 of HD & Surround Sound awesomeness. 1080P looks AMAZING. Optoma HD20 Pros:-Great value-Excellent 1080P picture q...
#Fabulous clarity (2010-07-15) Bought it a week back. Fabulous clarity and precision. I hope it is as good as it is now even when I take it around for my presentations on my official trips overseas!
#Don t spend 5k+ (2010-07-12) No need to go over board. Save your money for Audio equipment cause this little beauty does it job and very well I might Add. Proud to have purchased such a fine product at such a low price.
#Just Fascinating (2010-07-09) I wanted to buy an HD projector for playing games, viewing movies, and showing presentations with my laptop. This projector works way better than i expected, and has a fair price. Even with no screen (just projecting on a white painted wall) the image quality is excellent. A good recommendation is that the ambient must be as dark as possible to ensure the best experience. Calibrating the projector for more intense colors also works when working with relatively bright environments, but yo should avoid this since the lamp usage is more intense too. O...

#Wow Certainly worth the wait! (2010-07-21) I had pre-ordered this projector for almost a month before it was shipped, which gave me time to contemplate my purchase decision. I went around to the shops and checked the PK 201, 102 models and other brands like the 3M pico projector and the Samsung palm sized LED projector. Especially that I have a full size DLP HD projector that i bough last year. The inconvenience of having to setup the screen and the speakers in the garden to watch a nice cinematic experience on giant screen reduced these occasions to just a handful through a year. ...
#Decent, but documentation and software need work (2010-07-15) If you want to use the device to carry around media, be sure to get a microSD card because the onboard memory is less than 100 megabytes, up to 16GB supposedly is supported - I used an old 1GB card from a phone I had and it worked fine (a 16GB is on order). Using the device to carry the photos, movies, and presentations was useful, you do end up driving the device directly, and because of its small size, you ll also want the remote as you get tired of pressing the small buttons and rocking the device picture, so you d nee...
#Excellent projector for what it does. (2010-07-11) I bought this to replace the TV in my bedroom that was moved to my living room (a 42) when my living room Toshiba 52 LCD (14 months old-don t buy a Toshiba flat panel TV) died. I originally bought the PK-201. My complaint with that and the reason I returned it was that the focus had issues. It always seemed like one side was focused and the other corner wasn t. Well, the PK-301 exceeded my expectations. The picture is huge. It claims it will go to 120, but I am about 100 with my throw. Not sure what the max throw is. I didn t ...

#Little projector for little money (2010-07-10) This little projector is a joy in the dark. The ability to throw in a SD card and let it play is genius. It will even pick a piece of music off the card to play with your picture slide show. Unfortunately, it is not bright enough to use in any but the darkest rooms. If you intend to use this on the road where you might not get a completely dark room, or you need to use it along with written materials, then this projector is not for you.
#Awesome products.... if it worked! Never focused... (2010-07-09) Loved the Optoma s size and functionality. I was so excited! The only problem? The only way to focus was to have it about 1 meter from the wall, projecting an image that was about the size of my Macbook 13 laptop. Not good! I suspect the lens was smacked out of place, because the focusing wheel would just make things worse, and the specs for this baby say it can project large images. Oh well! I live in Australia and had asked my brother in law to bring it for me to a family wedding, so I was very disappointed to have...
#It s awesome! (2010-07-05) Well, now there is a new model that is perhaps quite better, but this is a wonderful piece. . .
#Very good but lack of lighting (2010-07-01) I m happy with this projector. I only miss that the projector has more light to show the images. I need to turn off all lights or see the movies in a dark room.
#Pint-Sized Powerhouse (2010-07-01) So I was in the business of looking for a projector for personal use and I wanted something fresh and that I know i would use. I was looking up reviews and the whole nine yards when I came across Pico Projectors. It was a new type of technology (at least for me it was something new that I have come across) and I wanted to be in on the scene before anyone else. So I did some research on some specs for these Picos and I happen to find that Optoma has the best one for the price range. It s honestly no bigger than an iPod Touch (in terms of height and ...

#Great for our outdoor theater (2010-07-21) After doing extensive research and looking for a projector in our target price range, I ordered this one. We bought this projector for the purpose of having an outdoor theater and we love it! It is extremely easy to use. Having used a projector similar to this one before, it was easy to hook up and start using. We connect to a surround sound system so not having speakers in the projector was not an issue. I would have given it a 5 star rating on resolution but it does have to be pretty dark before the picture is clear enough to see. W...
#Excellent in both large and small projection (2010-07-11) I purchased this projector for two very different purposes: 1. to project movies onto a wall for pleasure viewing, and 2. to project a small image onto paper as a means of creating hand-drawn rotoscoped animations. I ve been very impressed with this projector in all lighting conditions, whether projecting large or projecting small. The image is crisp and bright. I connect to a PC for watching movies and to a Mac for my animation projects, and I ve had no problems with either. In this price category, I m fully satisfied...
#Projector (2010-07-01) Our club purchased this projector because of a previously used projector of the same brand. This is an upgrade and what a great product, price and everything. Features are many and ease of use are evident. It is such a great product, I purchased one for personal use.
#Optoma DS317 works great (2010-06-10) The Optoma DS317 had great light output and great resolution. It worked intuitively (It better, I usually don t read the instructions. :-) . . . very pleased with the product.
#recommended (2010-06-05) Purchased this projector to use for small office presentations and to use while traveling to different locations. This is the first projector I have owned and found it very easy to use, good quality, and lightweight which makes it convenient for travel. Would definitely recommend this projector.

#Did not work for what I needed. (2010-07-26) I would be ok in a very dark room. The room I inteded to use it in is pretty light and the image really didn t show up. Nice that it is so small, but doesn t matter much if you can t use it.
#Pocket projector (2010-05-24) The quality of the picture is just amazing much better than I expected it s great!
#great gadget lover item (2010-05-14) I am thrilled to have such a portable device. I can see movies outdoors during the summer and share pictures on a big screen with friends and family just about any where.
#Can be used with your PC (2010-01-08) If you bought this projector to work with your PC, you can still do it, with a S-video to TV out converter, connect the S-video to your computer and the TV out to the projector, you will have the image only, the audio will still go out from your speakers. Also I should mention that this is a very good projector, very decent quality for a projector of this size.
#Does NOT work with IPhone (2009-12-18) The promotional photos show that it works with an iphone but it does Not. Another reviewer says that it works only with the ipod functions of the iphone but I have not checked that out. The photographs on my iphone do not display, nor anything else I have tried. The instructions are pretty pathetic. I am returning this device.
