#Handy and easier to use (2008-11-11) I really like this little reference. The size is just right and the text is large enough to be easy to read without squinting. Having the New testament, Psalms and Proverbs together in one small portable reference is especially useful. I enjoy the freshness of the Message. It gives one another angle to view scripture and often gives surprising insight into difficult passages. Finally, I really enjoy the insight the book introductions provide as they are so right on. #Great commentary (2008-11-10) I ve read through many different study bibles in my work as a youth minister. I haven t found any to be easier to understand or have more useful information than the Life Application Study Bibles. The NLT version works well as it is generally seen as truer the the biblical text. In general the commentary does a great job giving very useful information right on the page regarding the historical activities going on during the time of the verse being referenced.

#highly readable (2008-04-17) While I certainly wouldn t use this translation as my primary Bible, it is a nice introduction to the Bible. It is a highly readable translation, in part because it is a paraphrase, which some say makes it less reliable. I think though that it is only a problem if you are a biblical scholar. Otherwise, I don t see why this translation wouldn t work for you.

#Very Happy (2008-04-25) NIV Worship Bible, Large PrintI was very happy with this Bible and the size of the print. The pages are a little thin resulting in visual print bleed threw, but after several weeks of use I don t even notice that anymore. A great Bible especially at this price.
