Why is it that women, who are so competent in all other areas of their lives, cannot find the same competence when it comes to matters of money?Suze Orman investigates the complicated, dysfunctional relationship women have with money in this groundbreaking new book. With her signature mix of insight, compassion, and soul-deep recognition, she equips women with the financial knowledge and emotional awareness to overcome the blocks that have kept them from making more out of the money they make. At the center of the book is The Save Yourself Plan—a streamlined, five-month program that delivers genuine long-term financial security. But what’s at stake is far bigger than money itself: It’s about every woman’s sense of who she is and what she deserves, and why it all begins with the decision to save yourself.

#Not the best I ve read (2008-11-22) I love Suze Orman and as a 26 year old woman I was more that excited about learning how to control my own destiny by learning all I could about my money. The problem. . . . I would like to enjoy it before I retire. Suze should change all the names of her books to. Suffer now, Retire rich part 1, 2, 3 and 4 because that s the philosphy of her books. I am more interested in learning techniques that can produce results in 3-5 years. 35 years is too long to reap the harvest. This book has it s place but it didn t help me much.
#New Possibilities! (2008-11-02) I never imagined in a million years I would pick up a book on personalfinance. I had an idea that investments and numbers were just too hard, something I d never understand. Reading Suze Orman s Women & Moneyturned that notion on its head. Her warm, funny and no-nonsense book isnot only informative and empowering, it is also really enjoyable toread. While she offers plenty of detailed and helpful financial advice, the underlying theme throughout -and what really impacted me- is thatcontrol of your financial destiny begins with you. How you treat yourm...
#Promotes Financial Accountability for Women (2008-11-01) This is an excellent book that I would recommend to any woman who wants to gain organization and control over her financial situation. The book is written is an easy to understand format. It clearly explains what actions need to be taken each month, for five months, to create order surrounding your finances. Buy this book, get out your highlighter, mark the steps you are going to take, and check them off as completed.
#Strong material (2008-10-28) Suze Orman provides an excellent perspective on women and power/money. Very useful information with interactive website. Nice.
#Best Product for Women (2008-10-24) If you are a woman, you need Suze Orman s Women & Money. It is a must in order to gain knowledge about your finances, so you will not have to rely on someone else or pay a huge fee for attorneys or financial assistants. Great - great product.

#I read the comments and I did not find anyone telling about the results (2008-10-20) You all praising this book, how smart it is written, how valuable. But what are the fruits? Show them. Who can say that because of this book she got out of debts, bought a new house and moved from Harlem to 5th Avenue? Or smth like this? It seems to me that it is one more well-marketed book with no real advice in it. Everyone who wrote a review seems like struggling surviving individuals. I don t wanna join you guys if so. Please, who can tell any real outcome they had after reading this book,...
#Great book for women 15-75 yrs (2008-05-03) I think all women should read this book and share it with others (family and children). Not only does Mr. Bach discuss how saving a little here and there can help with retirement, but he also gives women inspiration to live out (and especially to finance) their dreams. A wonderful book.
#A read for ALL Women (2008-03-22) I bought this book because I heard so many positive things about it. I am in my 50 s, five years ago I went from having the wonderful life that all women dream of. I had the beautiful home in the suburbs, 2 beautiful children, friends, you name it I had it. Then I lost it all in the blink of an eye. I had relied on my husband to handle all the finances I couldn t tell you the balance in the check book. All I knew was he made the money and I spent it. Thank the Lord I was a RN, but I hadn t worked in quite a few years. I am not going to go into d...
#His Grandmother Taught Him Well! (2008-03-08) Smart Women Finish Rich is a bit different from other financial books I ve read. I have to admit I was surprised with how well David Bach addressed both the emotional and intellectual relationship women have with money. His grandmother taught him well. I am going to say that Smart Women Finish Rich is more for a financial beginner than a woman with financial savvy. It s a well thought out system of gaining and keeping control of your financial self-sufficiency. Bach has filled this book with definitions, resources, quizzes, systems, exe...

For every professional woman who wants to get ahead - but feels she is at an impasse - NICE GIRLS DON T GET THE CORNER OFFICE comes to the rescue. Although it s less threatening and more politically correct for women to point the finger outwardly when assessing why they are overlooked for promotions and assignments for which they are superbly qualified, the real answers may lie inward. In this book, Dr Lois Frankel, an internationally recognised corporate coach and author, reveals the 101 self-sabotaging behaviours women learn as girls - behaviours and habits that are now holding them back in the workplace, such as couching statements as questions, tilting your head when you speak, waiting to be noticed and pinching company pennies. From executive to entry level, every woman needs to know what she is doing to subconsciously sound, look, act, market herself, and/or be treated like a girl . This book will help women to become aware of when and how they are damaging thei...

#Nice girls...bad CD (2008-08-05) Nice girls dont get the corner office is a big corner of negativity. If you want to feel aweful just give this CD a listen. Lois Frankel put me to sleep. She sounds like the the unseen teacher in the charlie brown series. Mistake number 6854984742 dont pick your nose the board room. . . wah wah wah. Terrible. Dont waste your money. Try Tom Hopkins advanced sales survival training CD#2 hilarious, uplifting and helpful to all.
#HIGHLY recommended for every professional woman (2008-07-22) I hadn t realized just how many things I was doing on a daily basis that were keeping me from acheiving my full potential at work. Some things in this book applied to me, others did not, but I have learned what I have been doing that is holding me back from moving forward at work and am working on changing those bad habits. A MUST READ for every professional woman.
#From a Father s Perspective (2008-06-18) As a father of two toddler daughters, I read Dr. Frankel s book to open my mind to ways I could avoid instilling in them unhelpful behaviors. I found a well thought out list of workable suggestions focussed mostly on a few central topics - better communication and ways to play the game without merely adopting behaviors typical to men. This book does not make judgments about how the business world operates mainly according to historically male behavior. Rather, it focuses on how to work within this world without changing who you are. Some of...
#From Nice Girl to Leader (2008-03-27) I use this book all the time in my life leadership coaching with women whether they work in corporations or they re entrepreneurs because for women to succeed anywhere they have to grow to overcome their own self-limiting behaviors and beliefs. What I love about this book is how clearly the 101 mistakes are organized under 7 broad areas. I am not big on quizzes because they often stop at only giving information. That is not the case here. Instead the author has created a quiz that very easily identifies and ranks an individual woman s 7 are...
#Gotta read this! (2008-03-07) Every woman should read this book. The assessment gives you a starting point and you won t need to read every page. . . just those that apply. Everything else is a bonus. I swear! The material will enlighten you and stick with you years after you ve read it. Practice will make it stick. I ve given this book as gifts. Even if you are not ready to apply yourself to practice, just recognizing how you are perceived is worth it. Buy this book and read it today! It s not about becoming an overachieving B and man hater, it s about learning to play the game...

#The Nine Steps to Finacial Freedom (2008-10-31) Getting young people early on and actually learing about finances before it gets out of hand is a wonderful concept all parents need to have to instill in their/our children!Suze Orman make thing so simple and easily understood. Her approach should be taught in High School and beyond.
#didnt know it was mini (2008-09-20) I love suze, but i didnt know this book was 2 inches big. It is a litlle tiny pocket sized book, for a person of very small pockets:) I didnt realize how miniature, minature edition was.
#2% good advice wrapped up in 98% of absolute rubbish (2008-08-20) I wanted to like this, and there is some good 101 style advice in there about lump sum versus slower investing and trusts versus wills but this is basic info - the rest is baby boomer rubbish about attracting money with your beliefs, treating money as a cherished friend etc. She says it makes you powerless to help people out financially, that you should not help your kids pay bills, and that the only powerful way to give away money is to give it to your parents because you owe them for having you, and to give your m...
#Great Financial Advice!! (2008-08-09) Having just gone thru a divorce, Suze Orman gives you the financial down-to-earth motivation you need to move on. Her heart-felt honest advice gives you that feeling that you CAN and WILL be able to handle your money no matter how it is affecting your life.
#The 9 Steps to financial freedom (2008-07-09) I found this small, hand held, version with nothing profound. Simple common sense
