#A Must Read For All Parents and Teachers (2010-03-09) This book is the ultimate handbook and go-to guide on bullying. It addresses all components of the bullying cycle, and all of the participants as well. The roles of the bully, the bullied, the bystander, parents and schools are all covered in great detail. This book truly helped our family understand the entire dynamic, the repercussions of inaction or inappropriate responses and what options are available to all involved in bullying. This was recommended to us by a school psychologist, and was just what we needed!
#Fantastic Book For All Parents, Educators, Professionals, etc... (2009-10-23) I picked this book up in desperation to help my daughter who had been suffering for over two years at the hands of a bully. The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander is a powerful tool in finding effective solutions for parents and school administrators dealing with this day to day nightmare. From poetic charm to straight forward talk the author is truthful and factual in her approach to this horrific problem in our schools today. The reader understands the diagram of a bully and what kind of a family they c...
#The Bully, the Bullied and the Bystander (2009-10-03) This book is excellent! I was a school administrator for 30 years and now I write books and train teachers. I highly recommend this book for any teachers, administrators, parents and anyone who works with children and/or teenagers. It is comprehensive, practical and well researched. It is an invaluable resource.

Microsoft s notoriously grueling interview process has been emulated by companies everywhere that seek to separate the most creative thinkers from the merely brilliant. HOW WOULD YOU MOVE MOUNT FUJI? reveals more than 35 of these challenging riddles and puzzles and, for the first time, shows how answers can be found through creative and effective analytical thinking.

#microsoft hypocracy (2009-12-09) Dont you like how Microsoft has a gruleing intervew process to screen out the merely brilliant, then they go to Congress to demand more H1-B visa because they cant find any qualified candidates in the U. S. ? I think a merely brilliant American is qualified, though would not work for H1-B slave labor wages.
#Great Strategies and Reminders for Interviewing (2009-10-20) The book primarily centers around the approaches to solving puzzle questions that are posed during interviews. It provides a basis of understanding how the interviews work, how to best approach the problems and tips to ensuring that you re not going to make a bad impression during the interview.
#Very interesting. (2009-05-28) I never used it for interview. But i find it very interesting to read anyways.
#Fun problems (2009-03-11) This book is aimed at programmers who are on the job market and just might wind up in one of those famous interviews in which an obscure logic puzzle is used to separate the wheat from the chaff. Are any of the puzzles described in this book going to get you a job these days? Probably not, but reading about the origins of Microsoft s hiring practices in the 90s is enjoyable, and the appendix of the book contains a sizable collection of these famous puzzles. If you re interested in more challenging puzzles, try your hand at Puzzles for Programmers and Pros.
#Not Practical (2009-01-08) This book does not give you any answers or even how to answer such questions. It is quite long winded and is more of a how to handle questions like this. From a book that has the title, how would you move mount fuji, I expect to be given the answer to this question or at least one answer to such a question. This is some guy rambling on about how to be smart, and the types of interview questions and how to deal with such an interview. But no answers here at all, all I want to hear is how you d answer such a question. Here s a good example of an answer a...

Modern firefighting is a continually evolving science. New technologies are constantly being applied to the fire service, both from within and without. In the latest edition of this perennial favorite, author John Norman examines these new technologies and how they affect fireground tactics. He also details the new role firefighters play in homeland security. What is offered here is a guide for the firefighter and the fire officer who, having learned the basic mechanics of the trade, are now looking for specific methods for handling specific situations.

#You shall read this. (2010-03-19) A good book with excellent insight into the challenges posed by the many types of building we as firefighters will encounter in the field. A must read for any firefighter looking to become an officer, or who is concerned with the safety of his men.
#A must read for aspiring Company Officers (2009-12-16) This is a great book that covers the strategies and tactics needed to safely and effectively manage fire ground operations. It not only gives the tactics needed but includes many real life scenarios encountered by the author that demonstrates how the skills taught can be applied. It is a must read for any company officer
#Good overal picture (2009-11-20) The book has a good overall explanation of techniques used by firefighters. There are examples of personal experiences which help illustrate the need for the protocols discussed. As with all good books however, it contradicts itself while describing the recommended procedures based on the extenuating circumstances.
#Best firefighting book I have read (and reread, and reread). (2008-06-29) If there was only one book I could recommend about firefighting, this would be it. It is filled with easy to read, interesting, and quite possibly life saving tips and techniques based upon the real world experience of Chief Norman and the many other leaders in the fire service that he has learned from. I had the first edition, then the second edition, and now the third. If there is ever a fourth, I ll probably buy that too.
#A CLASSIC (2008-02-17) THIS BOOK HAS TO BE A CLASSIC AS FAR AS FIREFIGHTING IS CONCERNED. IF YOU ARE A FIREFIGHTER, THIS BOOK SHOULD BE IN YOUR LIBRARY. YOUR LIFE MAY DEPEND UPON IT.

#HealthAdm (2010-02-07) Book arrived in good shape. It really helped me with my class. The book is full of good information.
#The book itself is a disease (2009-12-28) Throughout the entire Fall semester, I was struggling to come to term with the content of the book. When I say struggle, it s because the book is full of typo and contradiction. Like one reviewer mentioned earlier, the text did not solidify the concepts. The information is so brief that you really don t get much out of it. The online exercises is a joke. Some answers are wrong, making you scratch your head. In one multiple choice question, cervical cancer is caused by monkey virus, not HPV virus. Huh? If it s true, fine. But where i...
#great price for required text (2009-12-26) Purchased this book at this site for half the cost the book store charged. Will be using the book next semester, and I m sure it will prove interesting.

#Wow - an incredible story, fabulously written! (2010-02-25) If this were fiction it might be hard to believe but given the fact that this really happened makes it all the more exciting. I could not put the book down!
#Can I Take a Breath Now??? (2010-02-15) Well. . . . . lets just say it takes a lot to excite me. . . . . . . . . . Golf does not do it. . . . I am not that DEAD YET!!!!!!!!!This book starts off SLOW. . . BUT I gave it a chance and then realized Gary was just building a baseline of characters to draw from later. AND WOW does he ever. Lets just put it this way. . . . I was flying home from Florida and it was a 2 hour plus flight and I had no idea how long I was in the air until the wheels hit the ground on the other end and I found myself with a wet shirt. Yes it gets that intense and in...
#Brownie (2010-02-09) What a remarkable and compelling story this turned out to be. I can t believe I ve waited this long to get to it. The narrative of the storm, the efforts to save the ship, the ultimate sinking and the painfull aftermath was one of the most gripping accounts I ve had the opportunity to read. This whole book contains so many independent stories, the gold rush, the engineering and research that went into the development of the side-scan sonar and the undersea craft necessary to plow the 8,000 ft. of ocean and the hunt for money to finance this undertaking. All of...
#Not your typical deep sea diving story (2010-01-12) Many books of this sort start out with a bang but then gradually degenerate into a somewhat tedious, long-winded exposition about each relic recovered from the sea. This author was able to actually ratchet up the level of interest so that the reader really wanted to find out what happened next. Several stories are skillfully intertwined between the original ship that went down, things occurring in the meantime, and the explorer s ingenious development of means to bring up the ship s cargo from depths never before attempted. This mus...
#Ship of Gold in the Deep Blue Sea (2009-11-14) Great story. . . History. . . . Adventure. . . Nautical. . . Scientific. . . Maritime Law. . . a lesson in life that is very inspirational
