God designed men to be dangerous, says John Eldredge. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a nice guy. It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. In this provocative book, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be-dangerous, passionate, alive, and free.

#Wild at Heart by John Eldredge (2008-11-19) Every man should read this book! It will do for men what Captivating (by the same author) does for women.
#Are You a Man? Married to One? Read this Book! (2008-11-08) I was hesitant to read this book. I had never heard of John Eldridge until a friend of mine handed me this book and said read it. The title says it all, and I applaud Eldridge for touching on a subject few are willing to delve into. Eldridge answers the questions that psychologists and counselors have been trying to answer for decades: Why do men act the way they do? What s the call of a man s heart? Where do those nagging desires within every man come from? How are men supposed to act? What is masculinity? How do women fit ...
#Not Christian, it s a Pop Psychology (2008-11-08) / WILD AT HEART (WAH) by John Eldredge John Eldredge is not a Christian, but he does like to put on the act, because when one is selling Pop Psychology by way of personal testimony, the foreshortened theological propositions must be couched in terms of personal conviction. One need only indicate that the Error of Ecclecticism is evident in WAH, because Theology and Psychology do not share a commonality of core assumptives. His greatest asset is the vast number of unthinking readers who follow populist movements for ...
#One of my Favorite Books! (2008-10-31) I am reading Wild at Heart again. This is my 3rd copy, because I have always given the others away after I read it. This has changed the way I think. An excellent book that will help you find a fuller life once you understand why you tick the way you do.
#Finally! (2008-10-29) Finally a book that s about guys being real men!!!I absolutely recommend this to all Christian boys looking toward manhood, and for the men looking to discover the depths of their soul. I thought this was another touchy-feely book when i saw the title. Just the words discovering the secret of a man s soul made me almost want to put this down. Trust me, once you start it up you ll see it s more get out there and be alive or my favorite be dangerous. Overall this really has brought me closer to my Lord and Savior. I really have alot to work on!!

#Getting inside the mind of God s cast of characters (2008-11-15) There s a strange phenomenon that sometimes occurs when we read a book, watch a movie, or have an experience in the course of our daily lives. This phenomenon is often referred to as déjà vu. Déjà vu is the sense that you ve been here, seen this, or had this experience before. It may be hard to put your finger on it, but there is a sense of the familiar. As I stated earlier, there are times we all encounter this when reading a book, especially in the pages of our Bibles. As the stories of Joseph, Job, Peter...
#Cast of Characters (2008-11-10) Max Lucado is an excellent writer. Once again he as out done himself, this book is great. I love it. Very easy read with alot od depth to it.
#How God uses flawed people... (2008-10-20) Max Lucado is one of my favorite Christian inspirational authors, and his latest book Cast of Characters: Common People in the Hands of an Uncommon God continues to reinforce that opinion. Max has a gift of taking a character or story from the Bible, resetting it in an unusual environment, and then drawing out the application and message. It s wonderful to encounter a common passage and see it in a whole new light. Contents:Joseph - Joseph s Prayer, Matthew - Friends of Flops, Woman Who Washed Jesus Feet - The 7:47 Principle, Mephibosheth...

#Great Book and Very Well Received (2008-11-20) I purchased My Utmost For His Highest as an appreciation gift for the Church School Staff Members at my church. The Book was very well received and appreciated. Some of the older members were especially pleased with the Large Print. I definitely recommend this product.
#My Utmost for His Highest (2008-11-15) Book was in said condition, very nice. It arrived in a timely manner. I am happy to have purchased it as the content is very meaningful and helpful.
#Most Beautiful Edition of a Wonderful Devotional (2008-11-10) I have been an Oswald Chambers follower for many years. I had been reading a tattered copy that belonged to my dad. For my birthday today I got this copy for my birthday and it is so very special. The leather cover is so soft and beautiful. Two shades of purple and liliac. Soft and comfortable to hold. The dovotions are still current today. They make you look deep within your heart to what God is saying to you. Highly recommend.
#Profound Devotional (2008-11-03) This book has been a profound daily devotional for me for 15 + years. I have read it every year. The insights this man of God had are some of the most relevant, authentic, and remarkable devotions I have ever read. I continue to be amazed.
#Great Truths (2008-09-07) Oswald Chambers gives the awesome truths of the Bible and God s character in this easy, daily study.

#Just Wonderful - Really 5 stars (2008-11-20) This is a wonderful Bible for small children or new readers to introduce them to the Bible stories. The language is age-appropriate and the illustrations are great - not scary like some children s Bibles. This has been the textbook for my Sunday School class (ages infant-2yrs) for 6 years and I make sure that all of my sweet little students have one to read at home also. It is comprehensive enough to cover most all of the lessons that we cover each year. This book is broken up into Bible stories which are just the right length for a...
#love it (2008-11-10) I love this book and so do my children 7 and 3. We have also taken it to church and used it in our sunday school class. Very well done.
#Brand New and Great (2008-10-28) The kids in my Sunday School class love the book and its vibrant photos. I was a relief to know that the book was great condition and appeals to all ages.
#strong variety from both the Old and New Testaments (2008-10-18) Not only does this children s Bible include stories often skipped over in other publications of the type, it is also compellingly illustrated with well-written and longer stories. My (almost) 3 year old loves it and will listen fully captivated for substantial blocks of time (we ve read the entire Old Testament section in one sitting on a few occasions!). We have several children s Bibles, but this is, by far, her favorite! My 1 year old, however, does not stay engaged with the longer story format and seems to prefer...
#simple stories, easy for little ones to comprehend (2008-10-14) I bought this to enhance my daughters Lutheran Kindergarden education since this is the same bible they use in class. The stories are very simple and easy for the little ones to wrap ther minds around. The illustrations are very colorful. My daughter actually enjoys these bible stories!
