#Bet study bible I ve found (2008-11-10) I ve read through many different study bibles in my work as a youth minister. I haven t found any to be easier to understand or have more useful information than the Life Application Study Bibles. The NIV version works well as it tracks with the Episcopal denomination, to which I belong. In general the commentary does a great job giving very useful information right on the page regarding the historical activities going on during the time of the verse being referenced.

Because of its short daily readings, it s easy to read a weeks worth. It s great to have the events in chronological order, too. #Pretty Decent (2008-06-06) The Bible is relatively chronological. It s difficult to put everything (especially the Gospels) in an exact order, I suppose, so the passages follow the traditional historical outline as most people understand it. However, I haven t read the whole thing yet.

#Archeological Bible (2008-11-10) This bible is a wonderful reference for use in the study of the scripture. My study group just finished a 3 month analysis of the Book of Acts in the new testament. This book gives a broad view of relevant history and information on the people of that time as well as the writer and subjects of the text. #Small-Print Bible (2008-10-04) I m very sorry I purchased this Archaeological Bible. It s very interesting to look at, but impossible to read -- at least, for me. The type is quite small, and my 66-year-old eyes can t handle it. I can understand the reason they did this, with all the sidebars and footnotes, the thing would have been a foot thick in normal-size print. But what s the use in having all this information if you can t read it? I ve given up and gone back to my Oxford Annotated Study Bible for my studies.

The type is very easy to read, the intros and footnotes are informative and I find it to be very sturdy, as well, as it gets carried around quite a bit.
