#DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!! (2008-11-20) I just bought one and I am very disappionted. I looks just like a normal halogen lamp, nothing white about it or anything of that nature. I feel like i have been ripped off and cant return it because iI ripped the case and threw it away. I dont know why people give recommendations about how great this is and how white it is,unless I got a defective package, there is nothing xenon-looking about this. My high beams are of a different brand and you can just see how white with a blue tint that looks,I guess I shoul have bought that same brand again. W...
#Bright...but not as bright as the claims (2008-11-07) These are fairly expensive at California auto part stores. On the front of the packaging, they claim up to 50% brighter, up to 40% more reach, and up to 50% wider. However, the fine print on the back says that the claims were made when comparing these bulbs at 100% power to standard bulbs at 80% of power!!! How can this be a fair comparison? I thought U. S. laws were supposed to protect consumers from this type of deception. I have to 2005 Corolla CEs. When comparing these bulbs to the standard, I would say they about 20% bri...
#Waste of money and time. Burns out within a matter of months (2008-09-20) Nothing more aggravating then having to replace these bulbs twice in one year. The first time, is ok , maybe I just got a bad set, the second time one out of a set of these silverstar bulbs burned out, I got the cool blues instead. Hopefully I ll get longer lasting results with the cooler burning bulbs.
#These bulbs have very short lives (2008-08-29) ALL the DOT-legal high output bulbs achieve higher output by overdriving the filiments, which reduces bulb life. They have to do this because the DOT puts limits on wattage. The only exception are HID and HIR bulbs, which use new technology to get more light out of less watts. According to Sylvania: Since our SilverStar(r) ULTRA headlights are up to 50% brighter than standard halogen, they will have a shorter life span when compared to our other products. Part number 9005SU will last for approximately 125 hours of on time, 200 hours...
#Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (2008-08-25) Compared to the regular SilverStar, the Silverstar ULTRA headlights were supposed to last up to 30% longer. I have used the Silverstar in the past and decided to give the Ultra a try. They only lasted 6 months. I installed them in Dec. and they burned out in June, the left and right bulbs burning out within 2 weeks of each other. Their brightness and performance is great, but they just simply don t last as long as I think they should. Come on, at least last one year.

#great product (2008-11-16) I am a senior citizen who doesn t see well at night. These lights help tremendously
#not sure (2008-11-02) The product works its a great light, but the life of it is no good it seems at life 4-8 months I have to buy a new one. I guess my daytime running lights is burning out my low beams.
#Sylvania SilverStar Ultra (2008-10-21) Marginally brighter than standard headlamps - waiting to see if these burn out quickly as other reviewers warn.
#Headlights (2008-08-09) These headlights are great, and much brighter then the normal ones. You also do see farther then the normal lights.
#Sylvania 9005SU BP TWIN Silverstar Ultra not white enough (2008-05-05) I was disappointed at the color temperature of this product as it is still very yellowish compared to my HID Xenon low beam. Otherwise it is quite easy to swap with my OEM bulbs.

#Sylvania Ultra (2008-11-02) After locating ceramic sockets and the Ultras I m now able to say I m a happy camper until the LED headlamps come in the next year (or so) to add to the headlight bulb parade. Ultras are better than the 100/50 watt examples because of the friendlier visible (light) spectrum and less offensive to oncoming traffic. Aiming is easy with the eyelid bulb (element) shade and using the garage door as a target was helpful in getting adjustment. If catching up with the new DOT standard is on you mind, this fills the bill in spades!
#Good Product (2008-10-01) Not just a whole lot of color temperature difference than OEM, but at 3100K that s getting close to all you can squeeze out of an incandecent bulb. They are slightly whiter than OEM bulbs and I have noticed they do seem to project wider, and maybe just a little farther than my stock bulbs in a 06 Nissan Frontier. If you don t want to upgrade your whole light assembly then I believe these are the best option at the present time.
#Very bright, but not for very long. (2008-08-21) I purchased these very expensive replacements because they were rated top in brightness and I was very pleased with the results. These bulbs were top notch. . . until my driver-side dim burned out in less than a year. I thought it might be a fluke, so I replaced it (even more expensive to purchase them singly) and was happy again for six months, then the passenger-side dim burned out. Now I am no longer pleased with these bulbs. I ve purchased extra bright replacement headlights before for my other vehicles and they lasted ye...
#Terrible! Don t waste your money! (2008-08-09) I bought these cause I was tired of my dim old headlights. The brightness on these was excellent. . . but only for 6 months. They both died and within a week of each other. I went to parts store to complain, but apparently they only have a 3 month warranty. Convenient. The guy behind the counter said that his brother had the same problem. . . maybe has something do do with them burning so hot. I don t know about that, but I bought the cheap ones and they work fine.
#Very happy with these bulbs (2008-06-02) I ve had the regular Silverstars on my two previous trucks, and after owning my current truck for a year with stock bulbs, I decided to upgrade. Instead of going with the regular Silverstars again, I decided to give the Ultras a try. I only changed my headlights, but decided to wait on my foglights and see if I liked them. There s a noticeable difference in color, it s brighter, whiter, and a very crisp clean color, not too annoying. I ve had them in for about 2 weeks, and have been bright lighted once on a dark 2-lane road. Now I need...

#Good price, Good bulbs (2008-11-16) I had one bulb go bad in my 1999 Silverado so I got one of the GE Nighthawk two packs on the advice of a friend. Amazon had a great deal going with a rebate so I gave them a try. I can tell that the field of vision is wider with these new bulbs. The white/blue color is also nice. Now i just need to change my highbeams over to the same type of bulbs and i ll be set. You can certainly tell the difference between the Nighthawks and my current laser white bubls.
#Nice, white light. A big upgrade from stock halogen lights. (2008-10-17) I was torn between the Nighthawk bulbs and the Sylvania 9006SU SilverStar Ultra, Twin Pack. After reading some negative reviews about the lifespan of SilverStars, I opted to go with these. Initially, I was worried about how blue these would look, versus the regular Nighthawk bulbs, but I was happy to find that there s really not much of a blue tint in the light at all. The light is very bright and very white. I wouldn t put them against an HID system, but you can absolutely see a difference. Driving at night...
#BRIGHT LIGHTS (2008-08-31) THESE BULBS WORK GREAT. I HAD TROUBLE SEEING AT NIGHT UNTIL I GOT THESE LIGHT. NICE AND BRIGHT WHITE LIGHTS.
#Save money and do it yourself (2008-08-07) My dealer wanted over $100 to replace the headlights in my car. I did it myself in a few minutes. The lamps are as good or better than the Toyota bulbs I replaced. They have a very slight blue tint but by no means are they the same true-white color as HID bulbs.
#Average Distance With Very Little Color Difference From OEM (2008-07-12) I ve been using the lights now for a couple weeks. I bought them to replace the OEM bulbs on my 05 Dodge Pickup. I was hoping for the 30% increase in distance they advertise, but that didn t happen. They are no brighter than the stock bulbs and only a little different in color temperature. If your looking for more of the bluish xenon look, these bulbs aren t for you. Even though the bulbs are blue coated, they don t reproduce that when lit. I m satisfied ONLY because I wanted to replace the OEM s si...

CRUISE CONTROL W/MGNT KIT

#71 Impala Cruise Control (2008-11-19) I just finished installation on a 1971 Impala, 350 V8 and automatic. While a little intimidating when starting, it seemed that instructions may have originally been written for an car like this, because I had no problem. Perhaps messing with digital controls makes it harder for others, but it was all simple mechanical and electrical connections on a car this old. I didn t use most of the hardware, just the servo, the control switch and only one magnet required. A little troubling to get to the end of the job and have so much left-over hardware, ...
#Good to go (2008-11-17) Installed this unit on a Valkyrie motorcycle. No vacuum canister required, as the vacuum from 5 of the 6 cylinders is strong enough for the servo. Audiovox certainly provides enough pieces in the box to handle whatever your mounting requirements are (you don t use them all, so there are lots of extra parts left over). That being said, there s quite a bit of work, including some innovative thinking and some irreversible steps, so I would not recommend installation by someone is isn t mechanically inclined. As for its performance . . . the accuracy is ve...
#cruise control (2008-10-31) just like in alot of the reviews, unit works very well but the directions and customer service could be a little better. Installed on a 2000 Nissan Frontier 2. 3L w/manual trans. Directions offered NO help what so ever! If you can get the wiring and other specifics figured out then this cruise control will work well!
#Excellent Cruise COntrol (2008-10-31) I installed this cruise control on an 2007 Honda ST1300. It was a little challenging because it was not designed to be installed on a motorcycle but it all fit and worked great. The speed varies maybe 1 MPH. Great product.
#Works great once installed (2008-10-24) Indeed, apparently very difficult to install. I hired a professional mechanic to install it and it took longer than he had anticipated, plus there was difficulty getting the wiring to stay wired. However the end result is a well-functioning cruise control on my manual transmission 98 Ford F150.
