#Very pleasantly surprised (2009-06-22) I bought these on a whim (and ok, because Amazon have them at a good discount)I was a bit worried they would be dim but actually they are a very good virtual candle - they also have a flickering effect which adds to the illusion. They d be perfect for a candle lit supper or when it gets dark when eating outside Buying them on a whim, I thought I d get into trouble with my wife but she saw them and has just had me order another set - can t get a better recommendation that that.

#Poor charging (2009-05-21) The candle lights are a nice idea, but in reality they are just decorative, being too dim to be of any real use. I also have experienced poor charging (only 2 of 3 in my set are currently working) and that they go flat very quickly when not regularly used. How do you know when they are off to charge them?

#Great but running costly (2009-06-07) I ordered 2 different styles of cash machine money boxes for my children. This is definitely the more spophisticated version and my 7 year old soon got the hang of putting his pin number in and depositing money. The only downside to this model is that is seems to consume 3 times more batteries than my daughters model. We have replaced the batteries 3 times so far and reset the box where my daughters cheaper pnk model is still going on her original batteries. #Very pretty item but not very practical (2009-01-09) My daughter loves this but as a parent it s really annoying as it s so easy to change the time on it or the alarm time on it - either accidentally or deliberately you can just catch the knobs. It s just too impractical to use as a regular alarm clock although it is pretty.
