#Pretty Decent for the Price (2009-06-17) Picked up one of these as a no-impact exercise while healing up from shin splints, and at the end of day one I can t find much to moan about as a secondary workout. Position and seating feels comfortable, allowing from a low squat up to knee lock, and puts no significant stress on your ankles or lower legs. My 31 inside leg length leaves about 3-4 of spare run at the back of the rail when at full extension. Cable is a little shorter than it could be, not reaching past my sternum with a reasonable lean back (I m 5 8), but I guess that s a matt...
#Good Value Rowing Machine (2009-05-26) I have had the R510 for a month, and used it for between 10 and 20 minutes a day, and my teenagers are also using it. It is hard to beat for the Money, and you get a good exercise machine. It does however have some limitations. Do not buy it if you weigh more than 90Kg, or if you are over 6 feet tall.
#York R510 Rower (2009-02-26) I ve been using this product about 3 times a week since I purchased it 6 weeks ago. I was a bit apprehensive about it since reading other reviews of this and York s similar product the R501 rower. I can report no problems with it so far. It s an ideal size for me (I m about 5 9), and is highly portable. I keep it in my garage which is cluttered full of stuff but it fits neatly against a wall when I m not using it. I registered the warranty online and have had no reason to contact York with any problems yet. Only issues are that when you first use it ...
#Not very sturdy and not good for taller people! (2008-05-26) My husband and I got this rower as a wedding present and ended up returning it after a week. We both exercise a lot and wanted a good quality sturdy rower and this was anything but. It felt flimsy to the touch and badly made, and my husband at 6 2 was far too tall for it (this didn t appear to be a problem in the item description). All in all, we both agreed it may be suitable for someone who plans to use it very infrequently, but it s no good for anyone who really wants to get in shape.
#Not great (2008-04-19) I got this as a Xmas present last Christmas and only started t use it after moving home at the end of January however already the thing is starting to fall apart. The little wheels inside the rower which guides the seat up and down the length have started to fall apart and gives a very bumpy ride and sticks on occasion. I don t think the machine has much more life in it. I ve only been using it upto twice a week for the last three months and I m not mr blobby just someone trying to keep fit. All in all I wouldn t recommend it.

#Great rower but computer resets (2009-06-20) Just had mine delivered. Construction was very straight-forward until it came to the last bit - which involved using the supplied self-tapping screws - which just didn t screw into the holes provided. Luckily I m a person who likes DIY and has a supply of alternative screws and bolts in my garage and managed to find some which did fit - but I shouldn t have to. Once constructed, the rower itself is fabulous, really solid and stable, easily adjustable, smooth, quiet action and enough variation in resistance to suit most people. I m 6 1 ...
#Only one minor niggle (2009-06-09) Arrived promptly, well constructed & quite easy to put together - except for some rather feeble self-tapping screws. It required a lot of work to fix these - had I been less practically minded it would have required some replacement parts just to assemble the rower. Once put together it is a splendid piece of kit, far superior to cheaper products on the market. If you are a serious rower like my son it isn t as good as the club machines, but then it is a fraction of the price!
#Rowing machine (2009-05-20) Good quality product, well packaged for transport and easy to assemble. I had a small problem with the Computer, but this turned out to be only dirty battery contacts. Otherwise it is a smooth machine in use and the runner slides well. The base reduces in length with one locking pin and then the whole thing tilts vertical so storage is easy and relatively compact.
#Computer Faulty (2009-02-19) Everything about this product was great apart from the Computer. It has a fault were, if you set a certain distance or time and start rowing, the computer will reset itself after a few seconds of rowing or minutes, before you have reached the target. This was extremely annoying and so I phoned York and they said they were aware of the fault. If they were aware of it, why is this product still being sold?! They couldn t give us a exact date when this computer could be fixed and advised us to return the product back. Apart from the computer problem, it ...
#Great Rower! (2009-01-06) Just had my new rower delivered. Very good quality, had to get my screw driver out but everything was supplied that you ll need. There are a few parts that need screwing together but very easy with simple to follow instructions. The build quality is great, and rowing action very smooth featuring air and magnets. The resistance levels are great too and the onboard computer is easy to use. It also folds up well for storage and makes a great clothes hanger when not in use replaced my chair in the corner!Anyway the bloke below is a right moaning mini, review t...

#Right for price (2008-08-31) I got this a week ago and firstly would like to warn you that this is not a conventional rowing machine. The quality is not amazing but for the price what do you expect. It works fine but if it was not on offer, would not have bought it. .

#Nice piece of kit. (2009-05-12) Ordered 11/5 and got it 12/5. Great service for the modest delivery charge. Having read some reviews about 2 people being needed to build these things. I was a bit concerned I d need to wait for the other half to get home to help me. However when it arrived, I managed it up a flight of stairs myself and the assembly was easily managed. One thing to watch for is when turning it over to attach the return chord to the large bungee. The chain can slide off the pulley. So be careful to put it back on before the bungee is attached to take up the tension.
#Good value for money (2009-01-16) I bought the forerunner of this machine some 8 or 9 years ago, when it was sold as the Delta Airmaster. It looks identical to the current offering, although it cost around £200 at the time. Potential purchasers might be interested in the durability of the machine, so here are my experiences of using one. The rower has been used for about 1. 5 hours a week since new. It has held up remarkably well, despite being subjected to a fairly vigorous exercise regime. The steel frame is rather rusty, it having being used in an unheated garage over the year...
#Great Stuff!! (2008-12-09) For the price this is a fantastic rowing machine! Gives a great workout and its really sturdy. The resistance gets greater the harder you row. Really easy to put together, light and folds easily for storage. I would highly recommend this to any first time buyer for this sort of product.
#Perfect (2008-02-29) I ordered my machine on the basis of forty other reviews i read on another site which all gave this product four or five stars. I ordered on Wednesday and it was delivered on Thursday. . . fantastic service. 30 minutes to build the rower after following the relatively simple instructions and i was away. The machine is sturdy and the resistance, which adjusts itself according to your speed is perfect for a good home workout. I am a little over 6 foot tall and encountered no problems with reach etc. It represents very good value for money.
#Does it for me (2008-02-03) I was going to buy this rower from Amazon but at that time it wasn t in stock. Luckily I found a secondhand one on the Gumtree website, so I didn t have to assemble it myself. The previous owner said that he had found it easy enough to assemble although care was needed to use the correct bolts in the correct places. I was a little concerned that the resistance in the rowing action was dependant on my effort - there being no means of mechanically increasing the resistance but I have not found this to be a problem. The machine monitors the normal functions:...

#mine lasted a year (2009-06-07) well a fraction over a year of medium use (40 to 60mins per week) and mine is completely knakered and sits on a skip so now will buy a new rower but definately not this one again
#Not up to the job (2009-05-26) I have had the V-Fit rower for 6 months and in that time had three sets of replacement bushes for the fan unit. The machine is inherently of a solid. robust design but has been seriously compromised but the use of some cheap components. Three times now the bushes locating the axle for the fan unit have distorted after about 2 months of rowing (5 days/week, 20min/day). V-Fit have been very prompt at sending out replacement components but I have had to learn how to completely disassemble the front of the machine to replace them (this did speed up...
#V-Fit AR2 Super Air Rower (2009-03-03) The Air Rower was delivered promptly. However I had a fault with the 1st rower I got so returned it and got another one. This one was to delivered promptly and fortunately this did not have any fault. Only down side is that I have small feet and the Velcro straps don t hold my feet in place.
#Nightmare (2009-02-27) Sadly my 1st venture in to the world of keep fit has put me off for life, if not the time being anyway. The machine was delivered promptly and even with my basis skills I got it put together and began rowing. Sadly despite the machine being good value and just what I wanted it had a fault in that ocassionaly and then frequently the chain would make a horrible noise on return. I spoke to Amazon who were very good and they replaced it. You can guess what comes next, the same problem. Every one was very nice about it and the 2nd machine is going back but I w...
#One of the better rowing machines (2009-02-08) The rower, I found was easily put together, most of it comes preassembled. Once you get use to the action, if you haven t rowed before, the harder you work the greater the resistance which is excellent. On the down side it does get a bit noisy, the electronics I don t bother with and doesn t lend itself to be stored away, mine is never folded up as this doesn t allow much more extra space. Overall a good buy for anyone from casual user to active sports person.
