#Thumping progressive drum n bass (2008-10-24) I have all the Nightlife series and no. 4 doesn t fail to deliver the goods. I pump this up on my MP3 player for a gym workout. Believe me if this doesn t get your energy levels up nothing will! Loads of recent tracks for the most up-to-date top mix by Mr C. Sorted again!!!!
#mixed with distinction (2008-05-17) The DJ s dilemma goes like this: how do you make a seamless mix on the one hand, but at the same time give the listener a distinctive selection, making every tune count? Nightlife 1 was one of the rare cases that somebody hit it on the nail, and installments 2 and 3 were flawed by comparison. I groan inwardly at the discordand clash of When the Sun Goes Down/ Now s the Time on N2, and skip over derivative stuff like Princess Warrior and Babylon Rising on N3. I m also not a huge fan of the max-out the bassline, throw in a vocal school e. g. Conco...
#the way forward, next generation d n b !!!! (2008-05-15) best nightlife to date in my opinion, its been said in previous reviews that andy has picked these tracks because they are all fresh and the newest releases and not for their musical content, well i strongly disagree with this !!as im im sure these people do not know the amount of white labels, dubs etc. . andy is given !! its certianly not any where near 33 so what we have is the best of the crop from some prolific producers all put together with killa prosision from the executioner over 77 minutes, shows the genre is taking a sligh...
#Andy C: Nightlife 4 - More of the same (2008-05-12) If you ve heard the first three installments of the Nightlife series, you ll love this. Packed with some great tunes that have been around the clubs over the past couple of months, plus a few new ones, this album has a more dark, teckie feel to it as opposed to the other albums, although this does represent what the majority of the big sharks in the DnB scene have been producing. Although the first few tracks take a while to get into (apart from the 1st track, Neo remix, i loved the original, the last 1/2 - 1/3 of the album is blind...
#Part man, part machine. All drum & bass (2008-05-06) The next installment of the Nightlife series is here and it is another quality mix from the most famous dnb dj in the world ANDY C !There are over 32 tunes in the mix which is an indicator that it is fast and furious in the mix. Andy covers the entire scene with jump up, darkcore and just fast rolling beats and bass in one continous mix that is just faultless. I really enjoyed the last nightlife cd but it got boring quite quickly and whilst this is a good cd i can t see it being played till the end of the year. Some tunes just ...

#Awesome (2007-06-19) You think this is good you want to listen to my homeboy Oris Jay www. orisjay. co. uk
#True Diversity (2007-02-26) The ammount of times I changed my view of this CD the first time I listened to it illistrates the pure diversity of the tunes here. The selection is fantastic and tunes range from proper 2step (TME) to slow dubby rythms (Digital Mystiks). If you are not into the whole range then this album is not for you. . . Personally I would call this a plus. The nMary Anne Hobbs plays it dirty and drops in some manic drum n bass (Spor). The tunes are selected for their pioneering in music and ignoring the Cannon of dubstep, they are not selected because the artists a...
#The underground is on fire! (2006-11-01) Who d have thought that 2006 s definitive compilation would come from a Radio 1 DJ who wasn t John Peel? not me thats for sure, but thats exactly what we have with Warrior Dubz. Mary Anne Hobbs has cherry picked some of the finest moments in UK dance/urban music this year, and even managed to persuade more than half the producers here to submit exclusive tunes! If you have any kind of interest at all in what goes on beneath the thin veil of mainstream music in this country, then this is for you. KILLER!
#Wonderful thumping beats (2006-10-17) If you enjoy the music Mary Anne has been playing on her Breezeblock show on Radio 1 over the last 12 months, you ll recognise and enjoy the sound of this compilation. Top stuff.

#Great 3rd cd average cd1 and 2 (2008-07-19) cd3 is fantatsic old school drum and bass at its best with particular favorites including, Remac and Lewi - Ricky and Dj SS - Black. but cd1 and 2 do kind of let the whole thing down a bit cd2 is better than cd1 apart from Commix - Talk To Frank and Dj Hazard - Machete cd1 is rubbish, whereas on cd2 there are soem stunnig mixes and songs such as Jonny L - Oh Yeah and jonny L s amazing tune Harry. But and this really annoys me when the cd track listing is wrong on the cd J magik and Wickerman s - Crazy world is listed but not on there inste...

#Top Summer 2003 (2005-07-17) There Is Now A System To The Ever So Succefull Albums From The Now Company. Three Are Made Every Year 1) At The Beging Of The Year. 2)Summer And Finally Winter. Mow 55 Is A Summer Now Containg Certain Club Songs For Summer Like R Kelly s Ignition And XTM S fLY On The Wings Of Love
#Mostly here (2003-09-15) Now 55 features most of the top tunes from the year so far. As always featuring a mix of pop, hip-hop, rock, indie and dance. Including no. 1s from R Kelly, Tomcraft, and Top 10 tracks from Girls Aloud, Robbie Williams, Daniel Bedingfield, 50 cent and t. A. T. u. CD 1 starts with some excellent tracks from Justin Timberlake and Javine but sadly seems to drown in mediocre dance tracks for the last half. CD 2 features more indie/rockier music to start, with Robbie s Come undone and Coldplay s sublime God put a smile on your face and ends with more pop tracks ...
#Now thats what i call a CD (2003-08-04) This CD is a worthwhile purchase. It contains all ranges of up-to-date songs, from R n B to dance. The album attracts all kinds of music fanatics and is entertaining for hours on end.
#What we ve come to expect...... (2003-07-25) From the world-famous Now! series. After 20 years, 55 volumes and over 50 million sales they know what they re doing - and that s just the UK version! Yes, Now 55 is everything we ve come to expect - the biggest, best and most varied collection of recent hits available. As usual, many big hits are included - R Kelly, Justin Timberlake, Girls Aloud, TATU, Robbie Williams, Busted. . . the list goes on and on. It s good to see that once again the album branches out - whilst keeping pop as the overall base, it explores more diverse styles fro...
#Now That s What I Call Music! 55 (2003-07-25) From the hip-hop trends of Ignition to the every day pop from S Club, Now 55 is sure to be a hit. This NOW is the one I feel has the most mixture of different music styles. But one thing that irritates me most is the almost ancient songs that could have been replaced with more recent ones (ex. Justin Timberlake s Cry Me A River could have been replaced by Rock Your Body ). Also NOW misses tons of great hits. The unbelievable quantity of those annoying dance songs from (in this volume) Plummet, Scooter, Paul Van Dyk and DJ Sammy e...

#Sublime (2008-08-07) I first became interesed in the Verve Remixed collections a few years ago when I noticed the Nina Simone remixes on the first volume. I m a big Nina Simone fan so bought the CD to see how her songs sounded remixed. I was very impressed and the collection of the first three CDs introduced me to a lot of artists I hadn t paid much attention to before. This fourth collection is sublime, especially the closing remix of Ella s I Get A Kick Out Of You. A lot of latin american rhythms feature on this collection so it is perfect for long summer evenings. I only wish the...
