#shame about the plastic (2007-12-30) The microplane graters are the best hand held graters I ve ever come across, bar the violet handled one. I have previously bought the blue and black handled ones which are fantastic for fine grating and zesting, but I wanted one as efficient for coursley grating onions and potatoes. The blades are excellent, so good infact that I also sliced off part of my thumb. The only problem is that the plastic surrounding it just cracked in numerous places when I was grating over a small bowl, so now the blade isn t taut anymore and is even more of a haza...
