We have cream coloured carpets throughout,2 boys under the age of 4 and 2 cats and have found this carpet washer a godsend. The machine is easy to use and gets deep into the carpet,giving a thorough clean. Our carpets are less than a year old and to look at,not dirty at all,but we ended up with 6 buckets of dirty water,just from the lounge and hallway carpets!Definately worth investing in.

#The best yet (2009-06-06) I have used many Vax carpet washers in the past but the Vax V-125 All Terrain Upright Carpet Washer is definitely the best yet, it does what it says and is easy to use. I have also used expensive professional carpet cleaning companies which I found to be slap-dash and useless. With this new Vax, my 20 yesr-old neutral coloured carpet, used throughout my house, has come up as new and I am delighted. The extra money used to buy the best will soon justify itself and the expense of re-carpeting my whole house has been shelved for a good few years to come...

Be aware that you have to do all of the carpet because the difference between clean and dirty is unmistakeable. The detergent is used quite quickly so think about ordering (more) at the same time. #Replacement Vax multifunction vacuum cleaner 6131 (2009-06-28) The Vax 6131 purchased was a replacement for an old Vax 2000, which I was pleased with and had for many years. #Best value on market (2008-09-09) Best washer / vacuum on the market. This will suck nearly as well as all of our Dyson s we ve owned. It washes nearly as well as the expensive pro cleaners and it is tough. All of the filters are washable. The card filter will wash in warm water with a dash of soap powder. Yes, its tank can spill out onto the floor if you tip the vax backward when the tank is full & ?not in place properly, but its a mistake you only make once. The results of my carpets and the money I paid for this item still make it a great buy. It has already saved me thousands from replacing a carpet that I had thought was beyond salvation.

#Far from good (2009-05-31) This is the first carpet cleaner I have bought, bt have used many in the past. Its a joke - it does not suck up the water it dribbles on the carpet. If u press the front of the cleaner down to force closer contact with the carpet, u can see the water being sucked up. Bt this requires a degree of effort almost unsustainable for an entire room. my advice is to not waste your money, and either splash out on a more expensive model, or rent one.

#VAX V-028 (2009-05-20) The machine at first looks fragile and awkward but once put together was fairly robust. There is no easy way to wind the hose on and when using the machine had to take it off, Filling the machine was easy and once in use was effective although particular soiled areas needed to be washed a few times. The wast unit was easy to detatch,empty and clean. Overall the machine was good value for money and is a very good option to paying someone to do it.

#Does what it says on the box (2009-06-15) I recommend this product. It cleans even worn in dirt and blemishes. Only complaint is frequency of emptying the dirty water container. It never gets above one third full before I have to empty it.

#Great (2009-05-29) I have used this cleaner on my cream carpets which were very dirt in our hall way, it has brought them up lovely, I have also used it on some spills and dark stains and it has worked equally as well on these, my only gripe is it does leave the carpets quiet damp and they took at least half a day to dry.

#Vax V-026 carpet washer good but has serious design fault. (2009-04-04) This machine has an expensive design fault. Water or foam easily drawn over by the suction fan from the dirty water tank thorouhly wets the fan end of the fan motor. This causes the complete failure of the fan end motor bearing through corrosion, requiring a new motor/fan unit [£60 - excluding labour]. The carpet washing side is good, especially if you have a puppy!This is my second V-026 as I considered it was better to buy a new machine than repair the old one. #Vax Floor Cleaner (2009-06-01) Bought this product a few weeks ago and I have to say its really good. I have tiled and laminate and all are spotless with little effort. Only moan is that the water runs out very fast so I have to fill it 3-4 times but that s when I do 4 rooms. I am happy I bought it as it saves me having to get the mop and bucket out its just a lot easier.

#How did i survive without one! (2009-05-26) This is an excellent product. It has 3 features- dry vac, wash and wet pick up. All of which take the strain out of cleaning the floor. The finish is excellent and streak free. The wet pickup reduces the floor drying time to minutes great when you have 2 small children, its also very good for picking up the odd spilt drink. My only comment would be that the water chamber where the cleaning solution goes is on the small side so you need to top it up - i suppose this depends on size of room and how mucky the floor is. #No deep cleaning-only surface (2009-05-20) As always, service from Amazon was brilliant. . . . however the product is disappointing. We are using on vinyl flooring which has a slight grained effect to it, and the small little scrubbing tools on the front do not shift the dirt from the grained surfaces. #Brilliant (2009-05-04) We have 2 leonberger puppies and this was recommended on the UK leo list of which we are members. I have to say it is brilliant. It switches from vacuum, to wet and then to suck by just turning a button. It is even so great, my husband uses it now.
