#Great product, but smaller than expected (2009-06-21) I bought this cooker after getting a book with lots of slow cooker recipes. The 3. 5L size indicated is not the working capacity, so unfortunately it was too small for some of the recipes I wanted to try. However, it works wonderfully. Be careful if leaving unattended though because the outside does get hot.
#Good for singles too (2009-06-13) Morphy Richards 48710 Oval Slow Cooker Stainless Steel 3. 5L I initially bought a smaller 1. 5 litre slow cooker and will still find that very useful. But the small one converted me to slow cooking (from ready meals) and felt I wanted a bigger one to cook and eat at the weekend and have stuff left to freeze for healthy ready meals. I dithered between this one and the Rival Crock Pot but this one is much better for my purposes. It has an indicator light (very important if you don t want to burn yourself) and matches my Tefal Grill Toaster. Point to ...
#Morphy Richards 48710 Oval Slow Cooker (2009-04-23) Excellent slow cooker. Gives you 3 to 8 hours to go away and come back to perfectly cooked ingredients. Good volume capacity for a meal for at least 6 people.
#Morphy Richard Slow cooker (2009-04-10) I often thought about getting a slow cooker but just never got round to buying one then as I was due to have surgery I thought it was time to make cooking easier. Well all I can say is I do wish I had bought one years ago. Meat cooked in this gadget is simply wonderful - tender - succulent and delicious and once it s in the pot you just switch it on and forget about it and it s there ready to enjoy come evening. I would not be without it now. I would highly recomend it to all.
#what a thing.. (2009-04-05) loving it! it is just 2 of us in our household and this magical thing is just enough /we usually have 2 portions each from this size/it s easy and without any extra work you can create delicious meals. and what i really like - even easily washable :)))

#Morphy Richards 3.5L Slow Cooker (2009-04-27) Black Beauty indeed. One of the best buys l have made. Easy to keep clean, doesn t take up much counter-top space and does the job perfectly! I would not hesitate to recommend this little gem to anyone wanting to buy one.
#Does a good job (2009-04-17) The slow cooker does what it should & if you follow the cooking guidance correctly makes a lovely dinner & brilliant dumplings! Don t use too much liquid as it doesn t reduce.
#Slow cooker (2009-04-04) Recently having been widowed and now having to fend for myself, a friend suggested I get a slow cooker. I had only vaguely heard of such a piece of equipment and certainly no great cook. However, this seemed good advice so I chose this one and couldnt have been better pleased. New to cooking skills, I found I can now make excellent stews, soups and other dishes previously only dreamt of. The cooker itself is sturdily made and easy to keep clean The detachable black dish is attractive and would not look out of place on the dining table if ever I decide to en...
#Takes longer to cook then specified (2009-03-30) Having had a slow cooker previously (RIVAL) which produced some superb meals, I am disappointed with this as I have tried two different meals (set on recommended settings - medium -for the specified times) and on both occasions the meat in the casserole has not been as tender as it should have been. Next time I try it I will cook on HIGH setting and see how that turns out!!Morphy Richards 48721 Slow Cooker, 3. 5L (Black)
#Excellent, Excellent, Excellent (2009-03-23) Have put off buying slow cooker for years - thought I didn t need it. How wrong was that! It has been used every week. Not only for main meals, but puddings and preserves. So effortless and very tasty. I find preparation first thing and then just leave it to get on with my daily routine or go out to come back to a deliciously cooked meal. It is great for puddings on Sunday when the oven is on full tilt! I do a lot of entertaining and love cooking this is a great piece of kit. Every home should have one. Morphy Richards 48721 S...

#Hinari HSC008 1.5L Slow Cooker - white (2009-07-01) This is one of the best value for money items I have bought this year. It out-performs better known label products hands down!
#Efficient item (2009-05-31) Hinari HSC008 1. 5L Slow Cooker - whiteThis really works very well. There is a useful manual with quite a few good recipes, though they are geared to a larger model I think, but you can just cut the ingredients. Once this cooker gets going it does an almost invisible simmer on Low , and a gentle simmer on High. I tried it with chicken and vegetables and they were delicious, with the meat falling off the bone. I was driven to buy a slow cooker because I have been living on ready meals since I retired but now find I can t get the food I want (eg no batte...
#Excellent for Caravanners (2009-05-14) This small slow cooker is very light and very efficient and is ideal for use in caravans and motorhomes. It has sufficient capacity to supply casseroles, etc. for two persons of normal appetite. It stores away very easily in an odd corner. It is less than half the weight of our old slow cooker.
#good food produced easily and cheaply (2009-05-09) If you are living alone and cooking was not part of your life you need a good slowcooker cookbook, eg. Cooking or Yourself by Catherine Atkinson. With that and this slow cooker you are able to make good nutrious meals cheaply and conveniently. I fill it up the night before, switch it on the next morning and my meal is ready that evening.
#very good for the money (2009-04-07) can t go wrong with this for a straightforward slow cooker with no complications. Hasn t let me down yet everything cooked in it has been delicious.

#Wholegrain rice comes out hard and uncooked (2009-05-14) I bought this because of the raving reviews, and what a mistake that was. I cooked some wholegrain rice, and followed the rice cooker s instructions for wholegrain rice to the letter. The rice cooker finished and the rice was hard and uncooked. This thing is just like an expensive saucepan - it makes no sense to purchase it. The rice cooker just boils water and switches off after 15 minutes. How is that any different to setting a timer on the hob for 15 minutes? No wonder my rice was undercooked. Expensive mistake. Pleas...
#The best rice cooker I ve had (2009-05-13) This is the third rice cooker I ve had over the last 10 years, and it is by far the best. I have had it for five months and I use it two or three times per week, and it has always produced perfect rice. My last one was a cheap model and sometimes switched off too early, leaving me with undercooked rice sitting in a pool of water, so I decided to spend a little more to get the Tefal 4 in 1 and it has been worth the extra money. The non-stick bowl prevents rice sticking to the bottom and it is easy to clean. The machine makes a series of beep...
#Hilary J Rollo Cheshire Lass (2009-03-10) Excellent as rice cooker and slow cooker. Have not used it as a steamer.
#Fantastic! (2009-02-17) This has been one of the best purchases I ve ever made- it s great value for money, a nice quality appliance and very easy to use. I am a student and the slow cooking function is great for when I want to come in from lectures to something warm. Meat becomes incredibly tender after only a few hours and it cooks rice perfectly (thanks to the handy rice-cooking guide included). The porridge function is also very handy. My only criticism would be that when you open the lid, the steam runs down the lid into a groove which is then quite hard to clean, but apart fr...
#Tefal 4 in 1 rice cooker, best gadget in the kitchen (2009-01-30) I bought the Tefal 4 in 1 rice cooker to replace a 3 in 1 model that I had used at least once a week for two years. That one was still working but the bowl warped, and to replace it was going to be £27, so I decided to get a new one. The cooker makes perfect rice every time, I also use it to make rice complete meals on the rice cooker function. I think it is a large capacity, you can make enough rice for a family meal with visitors. I cook wholegrain rice, which takes longer as it does by any method but this is the ...

#Great Product!!!!! (2009-05-25) Use it nearly everyday for almost 3 years now. Very easy to use and has made rice cooking so so simple. Works very well as a steamer as well, though not too many things can be steamed at the same time. Perfect for what we use it for. Very easy to clean. Highly recommended.
#Too big for one person... (2009-04-15) This rice cooker is far too big for one person, I wish I d read the descriptions properly and gone for the Ainsley Harriet compact model!Anyway, I placed one cup of brown rice with one and a half cups of water, as recommended, and after the recommended 15 minutes some of the rice had stuck to the non stick pan and burned. I had to place another half cup of water in, stir, and cook for a further 5 minutes before MANUALLY flicking the switch to warm. This cooker certainly does not automatically switch to warm when cooked, as one reviewer men...
#Perfect rice every time. (2009-04-11) You cant go wrong making the perfect fluffy rice everytime with this brilliant machine. Its so simple, easy to use and above all easy to clean. BE-AWARE this cooker does prefer high quality rice, if you try to use cheap stuff it will become glue !!!
#Invaluable time saver to a postal worker (2009-03-13) useful cooker can prepare casseroles overnight and warm up rice while opening post and checking emails and eat healthy rather than processed junk. really good to be able to start the morning with porridge made in the rice cooker great value and well used!
#RC3 Rice-cooker (2009-03-02) This is a great little rice-cooker which makes excellent rice if you follow the simple instructions in the recipe and instruction booklet that comes with it. I ve cooked different varieties of rice in mine, including wholemeal brown rice. I have never experienced any starchy bubbles or starchy spurting from the steam-vent as others appear to have suffered. If you wash the rice thoroughly before cooking, you get no starchy bubbles at all, just excellent cooked rice. Rice should be thoroughly washed even when cooking in an old-fangled pan on the hob. ...
