#Recession buster (2009-07-04) Panic at the thought of being without a breadmaker when I thought my original had died meant another being purchased - same model same make. My only criticism is the size but that is more to do with the size of my kitchen. Running a B & B means that the economy of home bread making and quality of home baked bread keeps me and my guests very happy. The math soon outweighs the cost of purchase and with two machines on the go - no waiting for the machine to cool down for the second batch.
#not worth the cost (2009-06-30) rubbish dough function and the sandwich bread mode absolutely terrible. . . however I have had decent white loaf every time. the rapid mode is great too.
#Top marks (2009-06-29) Brought this in June 2009 because not only did it have 5 stars from 200+ ratings but also it was top in most reviews. The box isn t the prettiest but it s about the functionality with this gem. The first loaf I tried was curry and mango. 4 hours later I had a medium loaf enough for 3 days food. As long as you following the instructions, it s simple and you create the perfect loaf. Obesity here I come!
#Panasonic SD255 Breadmaker (2009-06-27) Highly rated - worth the extra money as produces great bread time after time without any fuss. Typical high quality panasonic product.
#Fantastic (2009-06-21) I have just replaced a Breville breadmaker which I passed to my brother-in-law after 3 years use and that had been a good - I upgraded to the panasonic for the automatic nut dispenser as i never remembered to add them at the correct time. The clue as to why this is such a good bread maker is in the lengthy times for producing the loaves. I have made three loaves so far and they were all exceptional. Really soft with perfect crust - everyone has commented on them being the best loaves they ve had. Incredibly simple to use with enough recipes in the accompanyin...

#Kenwood CH1800 Mini Chopper (2009-07-03) Kenwood CH180 Mini Chopper, 300W Excellent product for all those smaller chopping jobs in the kitchen, making pestos, sauces, chopping nuts, herbs etc. For us this was a replacement of the earlier Kenwood Mini Chopper which had given excellent service for many years. This piece of equipment is an ideal compliment to the Kenwood Chef used on bigger food preparation tasks in the kitchen.
#easyquick (2009-07-02) [really quick to use and clean. perfect for working people to prepare a tasty convenient meal. [ASIN:B0000C6WPC Kenwood CH180 Mini Chopper, 300W]]
#Nice little gizmo (2009-07-01) This is a great gadget which is sitting on my kitchen work surface. I ve only used it so far for processing biscuits, breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese, but its done all three with gusto and no problems at all. I hate having to get my huge processor out everytime I want to whizz something, so this is really handy and I would recommend.
#Simple easy clean chopper (2009-06-29) This was a really cool buy! Does what it says on the tin! Very happy with this uncomplicated bit of kit.
#fanatstic chopper (2009-06-27) I ve found this mini chopper extremely useful for chopping small quantities of onions, herbs etc. Doesn t take up much space on the work surface & is just a great additional to my kitchen

#philips hd4666/22 3000w kettle (2009-02-07) Quick delivery, good quality as can be expected with philips. Noisey, not all that quick at boiling.
#No frills, does the job (2008-10-12) I was looking for a simple, no frills kettle to replace our very old one. Having read some of the previous reviews, I decided that this one was way better than others - quick, nicely balanced, easy to fill. Although I am still happy with it - it boils water, after all - I must say that I do not agree with some of the reviewers. My wrists might be wrong shape, but I do not find the kettle nicely balanced at all - it s awkward and heavy. It is not particularly easy to fill through the spout and the lid is stiff on my kettle. It is noisy and not v...
#sadly incontinent (2008-08-30) Bought this kettle for the same reason and about the same time ago as a previous reviewer. I paid extra for the expected durability etc. Kettle has started to leak via one of the see through sides and is now destined for the bin. I find it disappointing that Philips do not value their product quality as an important factor. I will go to Bosch this time as I am impressed by their consistently reliable, effective and enduring appliances.
#Best Kettle Yet! (2008-06-18) Bought this kettle for my parents in November 2007 and it s still going strong. It boils fast and I suppose you could say it s noisy, but the previous kettle they had was a lot louder and slower. If it boils fast then it will be noisey, no way of getting round that really - that s physics for ya baby! My only complaint is that my parents don t push the metal filter gauze back down properly after washing out the limescale flakey bits. You need to push the filter in until it clicks into place - otherwise you ll get loads of limescale bits in your tea! If ...
#Lasted 18 Months (2008-05-31) I specifically bought this kettle as a quality product with a powerful element for fast boiling. Unfortunately after 18 months , and out of warranty, it has started leaking from the see through windows onto the base. I ve binned it and gone back to cheaper £4. 50 one from a supermarket. Very disappointing.

#Philips GC8220 Pressurised Steam System Iron 2000W (2009-06-09) Great purchase - steam is controllable, from powerful to super-powerful! The steam makes ironing much quicker. Its noisy as it steams, but for me nothing that would be annoying. If you re the type that watches TV while ironing you may find yourself turning the volume up to compensate.
#BEST STEAM GENERATOR IRON YET (2009-06-03) Having previously owned a top of the range Tefal steam generator iron,I now realise what a superior model this is.
#Good Purchase (2009-06-01) We did a fair bit of research/comparison. The Phillips GC8220 seemed to be the best in the class. So it is proving. A good purchase - best feature? It s got to be the detachable water unit.
#Well worth the money! (2009-05-21) I read the reviews on Amazon and wondered if it were really that good, but soon found that it is! I am a busy working mum who only manages to squeeze the ironing in at ridiculous times in the evening and so it always feels like such a chore. But this iron really does cut down the time spent on it as loads of items can be ironed on just one side. I used to iron jeans both sides and they still didn t look ironed but now they look pristine! Iron is nice and light, don t have to fill up the water too often and has detachable tray anyway so makes it...
#Philips GC8220 (2009-05-19) Philips GC8220 Pressurised Steam System Iron 2000W After some research into these irons this model came up as a best choice. OK its not exactly the cheapest one out there but it works really well. From the use I have had with it, it does exactly what it says in the reviews. Takes the two minutes to get up to pressure, makes the usual noise from time to time during use as it comes back on pressure, { this is not loud as others seem to be} and lasts through a fairly large ironing without needing to refill. The iron itself is lighter than our old one and ...

#Kettle review (2009-07-01) This kettle does all it says it does. However, it is very noisy, so one point not in its favour.
#Philips HD4644/00 Energy Efficient Kettle - 3.0KW, 1.7L (2009-06-28) I like this kettle. I had a Tefal one before which was really fast, which I love and this one is just as quick. It has a strange base, which is high sided, to make sure the kettle doesn t slip or fall over, I presume? It just does the job, so that s why I love it. For the money, it is really great value.
#Very good kettle (2009-06-09) It is so hard to find an ordinary kettle that isn t a design over function, dribbling disaster! This kettle is great, quick and efficient and a proper spout - yeay! Fingers crossed it lasts a good long time. . .
#Just the job (2009-06-01) Good kettle. Looks smart, well made, comfortable to use, boils quickly and pours smoothly. Very pleased with it.
#Fast and efficient (2009-05-16) I purchased this kettle a couple of months ago after spending ages looking for the perfect kettle in terms of performance and looks. I finally settled for this one, and whilst it probably isn t my perfect choice for looks its performance more than makes up for it. Being a big tea drinker, and an impatient one at that, I wanted a kettle that was quick and efficient. I did look at the Tefal 30 second machine but was put off by the fact that it didn t actually boil the water - tea with tepid water just doesn t taste right! Fortunately this kettle clearly...
