#Chemical Floater (2009-06-08) We use this floater in an Intex pool. It is good for keeping the chlorine at the right level. Before, we used to try and disolve chlorine granules and put it in the pool but eneded up with bleach marks on the bottom in various places. This has done away with that proplem and is much more user friendly. I ve just recommended it to my friends who have the same pool.

To use, assemble, connect the suction hose and the filter to the inlet and switch on. This pump provides a higher pressure than the average UK tap pressure, although actual perfomance does depend on the length and diameter of the watering hose that you use. We use it to move water from our small water butts around the house to a large storage tank by our vegetables. It s well made and sturdy. Unlike some designs where the pump goes into the water, this one has a hose into the water and the pump stays dry - much preferred where electricity is involved!The only reason for knocking off one star is because the submersible hose which goes into the water to be pumped cannot be straightened and so has to be weighed down with a brick...

#A strong pump for a shortwhile (2009-01-16) I m currently on my 3rd Hozelock Titan 2000 pump. I seem to go through one every 18 months on average but I ve tried others which last even less time. The Titan 2000 always starts off as a strong and effective pump but seems to die away, usually as I have mentioned around the 18 month period. You can get replacement impellor parts for these but always seems a bit of a headache to me to replace the individual part and reseal the unit.
