The disappointment has been crushing. But this clever thing almost makes up for all that. Its a genius idea to have a toaster that also poaches eggs. Seems obvious really as you want one with the other. Minor quibbles from me are that the non-stick egg container isn t very non-stick. There are claims it also fries eggs but I am not so sure about that. You might put some oil in there with it but its still a poached egg. I never thought it was possible to get so excited about a toaster but this is the shiz! We ve just got one at work and my whole team are so happy. But the toaster part is slow and doesn t seem to cope well with normal sized slices of bread. If the bread is square (which is quite a low loaf), it s fine. But if it s a rectangular slice then only the bottom part is toasted, the toaster depth simply is inadequate. (2009-06-21) It s a fabulous little gizmo. . . . My one (ok, one and a bit) criticisms would be that the cup really needs to have far better, more legible markings. They are extremely faint, and if you re short-sighted, dreadfully indistinct. The division between one marking and the next is also so minimal, it s really hard to get an accurate level. The pin with which to prick the eggs, is - pardon the pun - pointless. You d be much better just piercing BOTH ends of the eggs with the tip of a sharp knife, than trying to use the integral pin o... #As you like it (2008-12-31) It works nicely. Solid white and nice and gooey on the inside. Get the water level right and you are on to a winner, just don t forget to take them out or you will have hard boiled egg sarnies for lunch. Yum

#Eggsellent! (2009-02-20) Maybe a little expensive but this unit looks good and does what it says. I found it requires a little trial and error to get the eggs to your desired degree of softness/hardness but quickly achieved. It is neat, simple to use, easy to clean and is fast! Cooks delicious eggs! Now I want to experiment. Wondering if it will poach an egg using a foil cupcake type of case and putting it on the steamer tray! Must go out and buy some more eggs!!!!! #Quick but not as effective as you may think. (2008-10-31) Comes with all the necessary accessories and is easy to use. Even has a little pin on the bottom of the measuring cup to prick the egg. The steamer integration word great too. Pros:1. Good simple design. 2. Easy to clean. 3. East to operate. 4. I searched through all the available options on Amazon and this product seemed a good price and fairly compact. Still can t work out how it actually cooks the eggs but how ever many you put in and whatever you want - soft, medium, hard boiled - they always come out perfect. It s abo... #Easy and perfect boiled eggs (2008-10-21) I have only used this item to produce boiled eggs, although it can be used to steam vegetables and other items as well. I have had it around 14 months and it has worked perfectly every time. All of the information that you need to know about the amount of water to use to produce up to 6 boiled eggs in the way that you want them is written on the item, so there is no need to keep referring back to an instruction book to use it. I cannot fault the item, it has not produced a single egg that did not perfectly match requirements.
