It is a bit noisy but not annoyingly so. it warms or cools really quickly especially if you use the thermal hat thingy at first. it really does make a difference to have your wine or champers at the correct temperature. I drink predominantly red wine and it was important i bought one that warmed as well as cooled and this is good value for money and looks good on your table to.
