#Slow cooking (2010-08-30) Bought as a wedding present and they are more than pleased with this as it is cheap to run and the dishes taste wonderful. I have one so I thought it was a good idea for a wedding present - you can t go wrong. They liked the colour and it blends in with their kitchen. I ve slow cooked a chicken and the result was a very tasty succulent cooked chicken - much nicer than roasting in a conventional oven. This model has three different heat settings so it gives you some flexibility in terms of how quickly your food will be cooked and there is guidance on how to adjust for timings. The other slow cookers I have have lasted years and I imagine will continue to last years - however within maybe 10 uses of this cooker, the ceramic glaze on the pot became porous so that the liquid inside the pot actually went through the walls of the pot and came out in little spots on the outer side of the pot. the cooking liquid has clearly seeped inside the pot walls as when I heat the pot up it stinks of burned liquid and I get seepage of the old liquid through the walls of pot. #It works! (2010-09-04) Don t take any notice of the negative reviews, this gadget works straight out of the box. I am no techie but was using it within minutes and was able to use the more advanced functions after just a brief scan of the instructions, simple. There is a pdf manual in the recorder itself which you can read by linking to your pc. Quality of sound is good. File transfer to pc works fine. Nice and lightweight, smaller than mobile phone. Smashing product. #speech checker (2010-09-03) I m a bit of a cynic and wasn t expecting too much,but I was pleasantly surprised with this bit of kit. It fulfilled my limited needs admirably. I had an important speech to make and it was just the ticket to iron out clunky wordage and pace my delivery. It s very easy to use, the sound quality is good, it did the job wonderfully, and I shall keep it to use for recording speaking exams.
