#An excellent quality product (2009-04-20) I know they are only tongs, but they feel really good and the clever catch means they pack away neatly. #good grip tongs (2009-01-22) As the product name suggests, these tongs provide good grip and handling of food, whether on the BBQ, under the grill or in the pan. We use this tong a lot. It is long and ideal for reaching into very hot or fat-spitting places (perhaps a bit too long for every situation - a shorter tong is more manageable for serving pasta or turning fiddly bacon slices). It has a handy, large rubber button, that is pulled out to keep the tongs closed for storage or pushed (even with only one hand available - the other needed for that wine glass or beer bottle) to open ... #Good quality. (2008-11-04) These tongs are really well made. They are the first good grips item I have purchased, and I am so pleased with them, I shall definitely consider purchasing other products in this range. There is a 12 inch version available,although I find the 9 inch is ideal for my needs of griddling and frying meat. To lock the tongs, just squeeze them together and pull the end where you hang them up. I highly recommend these, and I think they would even make a nice gift for keen cooks.

It s obvious that Brabantia have put a lot of thought and experience into designing their excellent Profile Line range of kitchen utensils, and you can see that reflected in these large tongs. The business ends are completely covered on the inside with large triangular silicone pads so your pans are protected, and the hanging catch at the other end doubles as a lock for keeping the tongs closed during storage (a real touch of brilliance!). They are nice to hold and use, and have a very useful locking mechanism so they can be stored without taking up too much room. I also like the fact they have a silicone coating on the tips to they can be safely used in non-stick pans. They are also very easy to clean. With a 5 year guarantee you can t go wrong - 5 stars!
