#Great Camera (2009-06-26) I have had a Konica Minolta 7D since they came out, having used Minolta AF film cameras for many years. This Sony Alpha 350 enables me to use my existing lenses and the results are just great. It is so much better than the 7D in so many ways. Resolution of course, speed of focus is much, much faster but the shutter is noisier, a bit of a bind on wildlife photography. Easy controls and the super zoom gives better results than a 2X converter! All in all, great. The next will be the Alpha 700!
#Good Product (2009-06-24) This camera is good. I would recommend people buying it. the only problem with this camera is the fact that it does not have a vide mode.
#2 IN 1 (2009-06-15) If someone is looking for both value for money and quality in same DSLR, this should be it.
#once a canon now a sony (2009-06-09) after using a canon 20d for a few years(excellent camera) I decided it was time for a change. I put my old canon in part exchange. I had narrowed my choice to either canon 450d or sony alpha 350. I ended up buying the canon. Went out that day and took about 100 shots went home and downloaded and was mega disappointed with the results. Couldn t sell on ebay so had to buy the sony on credit. What a fabulous camera. The shots were superb. I am only an enthusiast but this camera is easy to use. I wanted a zoom lens and bought the cheapest of th...
#The best entry level DSLR on the market? (2009-06-07) DSLRs cost a lot of money. This was the first thought that crossed my mind when I decided to exchange my hard-earned cash for a proper camera. I could have been forgiven for choosing Nikon or Canon without giving further consideration. However the D40 seemed too basic and the D90 well out of my price range, so the D60 seemed like the appropriate choice. However, praise had been given to Sony s new range of alpha cameras, stating that they had the lead in the entry-level market. Which one then? The A200, A300 or A350? Their p...

#a unique and top quality camera (2008-12-09) Faced with choosing between a DP1 or a Nikon D40/60 etc, i went for the DP1. Why ? Because i already have a Fuji Finepix that is a box of tricks and does pretty much everything, but isnt the greatest in actual photo quality. I could have gone the full DSLR route but i know i could never afford all the different lenses and extra kit to get the most out of a DSLR. So here is the DP1. Not a camera for the typical lazy compact camera owner, you have to work to get the best from the Sigma. The quality of the photos from this camera is outst...
#magnificent surprise in a very small box (2008-04-01) This wee camera produces images that have a beautiful filmic quality. The software it comes with processes RAW files from 3 colour layers, and magically restores bleached out skies and burnt white! The shadows open up and reveal extraordinary depth. As a seasoned pro photographer, I ve never seen anything like it. The all-metal camera itself is a joy to hold and behold. Weighty, stark minimalism with very few features, just a wide angle lens and a big sensor. It demands respect and will reward you. I love it!

#Pentax K20D (2009-05-05) Having been using Pentax since 1964 (spotmatic - still have it!) I am probably biased but this camera is the best I have had so far. Matches or exceed my expectations on every level. The live view which has come in for a lot of criticism is excellent for me when I have my slide copier attached. It is now so simple to convert the slides to digital (I have around 14000 so it will be a while yet).
#Pro camera for a great price (2009-03-01) I m a professional photographer and use the K20D for a wide range of photography including: products, landscapes, events, portraits and glamour. Event photography can challenge any camera because you are having to deal with constantly changing conditions. The settings you need quick access to are instantly available on dedicated buttons - so no hunting through the menus. Things like focusing modes, exposure compensation and shake reduction are all instantly to hand. Functions you need less often have their own fast-access menu through the FN...
#Nice camera shame about the customer service (2008-12-05) I bought one of these cameras in August -not from amazon unfortunately. The camera is really nice and easy to use and takes good quality photographs. The 18 -55mm lens is pretty good for most general uses. My only gripe is that the software CD supplied was faulty and Pentax support have been absolutely rubbish in supplying a replacement, as in four months later they still haven t. Pay your money, take your choice - just send it back straight away if the software isn t right. The camera gets 5 stars but Pentax Service? Dis...
#k20d a great bit of kit (2008-09-23) The 14. 6 MB and good lens resolution enables this camera to often capture detail that is simply not visible with the naked eye. The sensitivity setting at 3200 iso also has revealed interior detail (Italian church frescos) using only low levels of natural light better than I could actually see! - and the grain can be adjusted. The large lcd screen and zoom by the rear dial enables quick review of images to check success or otherwise. I upgraded to this camera from a Milota 6. 5 MB digital (no longer produced) which performed well and had features ...

#Never buy a samsung again (2007-01-05) I bought one of these cameras and for the first 12months no problems at all then all of a sudden it kept freezing up on me and i couldnt take any pictures I sent it back to samsung who charged me £45 for a repair and damn me a few weeks later it has happened again I will never buy from samsung again might look really cool but all you will have is a lot of problems
#Could you ask for more? (2006-02-17) This is a truely superb camera, I was bought one for Christmas and have used it over the past month or so with no problems what so ever. The photo quality is outstanding and resolution is impressive to say the least. The camera is very easy to operate, on screen menu system is clear and simple within a few minutes you can be up and running and snapping pictures then transfering them to your PC / Mac with the supplied software and USB cable. I would recomend this camera to anyone of any experience level weather your wanting a camera for just holiday...
#Would be 5 stars - if it worked! (2005-07-21) I bought this camera and for 15 minutes it was superb. Then the message memory card error appeared and that was it. Game over. Camera now back at Samsung. This will be the last Samsung product I buy.
#Fantastic camera and fantastic value (2005-03-26) When I recieved my Samsung A400 camera, i was actually surprised by how small and sleek it is - it looks better than the images of it i saw. The 2-inch LCD screen is really clear and bright, all the buttons and menus are easy to use and the pictures are of course, very good quality. It also has lots of good features such as a good movie mode and the option of putting frames round the photos for fun. If you re looking for a quality camera for everyday use at a very low price then i would definitely recommend this one.

#Indestructable (2006-12-14) I ve had one of these for 3 years now. I have took it to the heat of Thailand and the cold of the alps -29c and it keeps on going. I ve had mates drop it on rocks and reagardless it keeps going. You have to ge a case with it and on long trips a 2nd battery and card are good ideas. Other than that even under water brilliant!
#a great camera (2006-08-24) a great camera, easy use, but not for people wishing to go beyond basic photography- there are better (but more expensive) camera s around- the dixon s website is really good
#Very reliable olympus mju 400 (2005-11-13) This is my 1st digital camera it is very easy to use - my elders who are over 60 can use it!. I ve had this camera for 2 years now, taken about 3,500 pictures now and its never let me down. As a student i m taking it with me on bar nights and not really taking that much care over it, but it is one tough camera, its been left out side over night many times, the battery life under heavy use i. e. plenty of flash and high quality photos will last about 150 snaps, i bought an extra battery which makes life easier . The digital zoom although ...
#Great - until it breaks (2005-06-14) Typical Olympus quality is demonstrated by the MJU 400. Fantastic camera, great quality and features - until it BREAKS! AFTER 18 MONTHS THIS CAMERA BROKE REQUIRING A COMPLETE NEW LENS ARRANGEMENT AND WAS BEYOND ECONOMIC REPAIR . The camera was carefully looked after and never dropped. Another £328 wasted (as price was when first purchased). TAKE MY ADVICE - BUY A SONY!!!!
#BYE IT YOU WONT REGRET IT (2005-05-31) I read the others and they are right to rate it 5 starsAs this camera is a perfect point and shoot cameraMakes me look like a pro when people see the resultsI wont go into tech detail No need too its aboveBut it doesnt tell you that you can split a photoso in fact you have two mini photos in one Brilliant forsaving money and space not that that is a problemcan buy another battery for about £10 here at amazonlasts ages and ages Normal 1 week going to town with it 4 days maxno sound with video but i didnt bye a CAMERA for vidsthats the only...
