#Eos 350d still top dog over later models :-) (2009-02-18) The Canon Eos 350D is a very fast camera all round which I can strongly recommend. Its very good for those spur of the moment shots as when you turn the camera on its ready to shoot in a second. Once its on your shutter delay is well under a quarter of a second including focusing, plus if you part press the shutter so that the camera focuses its virtually instant. The 18-55mm lens that the camera comes bundled with gives surprisingly good results for a cheap kit lens, plus its nice that it will adjust wide enough to get a group...

#Sold it thank goodness ! (2008-08-01) Canon Ixus is excellent, but the 350D gives very bland results. I discovered from forums it is due to the cheap CMOS sensor, unlike the better CCD sensors. I would have given it away, currently looking at Nikon D80.

#Shame about the lens (2007-12-01) I ve been using this camera for a few months now and am getting to grips with the excellent range of facilities it offers. It s fine straight out of the box but dipping into the manual (a bit small - I have to put on my reading glasses) reveals a very adaptable and versatile system. However, how a company like Canon had the gall to include such a poor lens is beyond comprehension. The barrel distortion is truly breathtaking and it can t even maintain an approximate focus across zoom settings. So get the camera, you re unlikely to be disappointed i...

#Love it ... (2007-11-19) I was given this camera as a present (lucky me!)I had only used handbag sized cameras before. The camera is a great size - I have small hands and it s not too heavy. I take it almost everywhere and even though I am only an enthusiastic amateur have been able to take some great shots. I would recommend it to anyone.

#Excellent Camera (2007-08-22) I bought this just before the 400D was announced but don t regret it at all. Like other reviewers I bought a second lens and stuck with Canon for that too. So many people have commented on it there s not much point in adding to what s already beed said. The only thing I would add though is that because the camera is so light, I find that I shake it when I take photographs. That s me and not the camera because if I use a tripod pics are perfect. I need to get an IS lens now I think. That apart, it s excellent for me.
