Was concerned (from images) that it might be too shiny - not so - piano black finish is bordered by silver and is fairly discreet. #Great cordless phones from BT (2009-07-01) My BT verve 450 phones are simple to use and do exactly what it says on the box (for once). They have excellent battery life and the connection is clear. No more trudging downstairs to answer the phone as we have the spare set in our bedroom - very lazy. In short they are excellent phones and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Handset and Answer Machine sound is very clear, telephone range compares with other cordless phones, virtually plug and play, would recommend it. We had the Panasonic set from about 5 years ago - they have been amazing - aside from replacing the rechargable batteries once or twice they have seriously withstood the test of time. I am glad I did read the reviews as otherwise I wouldn t have known you could transfer the whole phonebook to the other handset without having to re-enter the names/numbers individually. It would have been helpful if this information was included in the instruction booklet provided without having to go to the website. Apart from that I am very pleased with the phones as they are easy to use and have nice chunky buttons and a large clear display - particularly useful as you get older!

#bt freestyle 710 twin dect telephone (2009-06-11) This phone has good sized buttons and has a good range ie at least 75 mts. I still can t find how to delete a wrongly entered contact in the phonebook,but otherwise very satisfactory.
