#Crackles occasionally, not good enough (2009-06-30) If the sound card worked well it would be a very good sound card. The effects sound good, you get a remote and it s easy to set up. Unfortunately there are occasional crackling sounds that last a few seconds. This will happen every ten minutes or so. I personally find it very annoying. Creative know about this but they ve placed the blame on nvidia motherboards which i don t actually have. This seems to be a recurring problem with all creative sound cards. They probably work fine on some computer but there are many that they...
#X-Fi (2009-05-25) Purchased primarily to enable recodings from vinyl. A very good quality card. Vary pleased with it. Great too for films (Dell 1720)
#Sound Blaster X-Fi (2009-05-06) Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5. 1 What a excellent peice of KIT. Using it for a Disco and the sound quality is superb.
#DOES WORK WITH VISTA!! (2009-05-04) Contrary to other reviews,i have used this card on multiple laptops and pcs with Vista and it DOES work. In fact it works brilliantely, there is no lag and the quality of the sound is greately improved. A must buy for all laptop owners who want to improve the quality of music, games and video!
#Well chuffed ! (2009-04-23) Great product, very sleek and stylish. Had external Creative Soundbaster Audigy 2 NX until i poured apple juice over it - Doh ! which was very similar. However when i tried to use it with Vista ran into problems as no support for Audigy 2 . The beauty of the X-FI is that i have used it with both Vista and XP and works flawlessly with both operating systems . Joy to install and sat on desktop makes it so easy to connect or disconnect from external sources . Use mine in front room ,connected into my Amp so i can play films in my pc ,signal sent via pro...

#No fuss or hassle. (2009-05-10) The sound card arrived quickly and as stated, OEM version with no frills. It is I suppose quite old now but it still provides good quality and value. It is easy to fit and setup with the software included but it benefits from updated drivers on the web. I would not base a recording studio on it but it is much better than on board audio and I am very happy with it.
#Hey look, my computer works properly now. (2009-03-21) I put this in, and then the video started to work. Is there anything technology can t do?
#Creative Couldn t Care Less (2008-12-05) Beware of Creative customer care. I recently contacted them with a problem with my MP3 player. Basically, although it worked fine and was fully loaded with my whole music and video collection, I couldn t add any further content to it. Customer care took me through a diagnostic process which ended with a instructions to completely reformat the machine, stripping it of its operating system. I e-mailed them to say I was nervous of doing this, but they insisted it was necessary and that if it didn t work I d be invited to send the unit in for re...
#Brilliant! Great value for money! (2008-05-18) Was looking to upgrade my sound quality, but not wanting to pay any huge amount of money. After reading the reviews on this card i decided to go for it. And wow! What a great sound card for such a small price! The one thing i do have to warn people of, if you use crappy speakers with this sounds card, the sound quality is awfull, as the card tries to send out sound quality and pitches that the speakers cant manage. Make sure you have a good sound system to go with it. The combination that Amazon recommend it s great one, and just happen...
#Awesome (2008-03-16) Hi definition !!sounds awesome on hi def headphones ,especially on the newer games with good sound like crysis, frontlines . A must upgrade for onboard sound card users

#Trust 5.1 PCI sound card. (2009-05-23) Sound cards were well packaged and came with all necessary software, and literature. Very satisfied. Thankyou.
#worked a treat (2009-05-20) for price exellent, and got the sound working again after my built insound card went down on the motherboard. cheap and cheerful does the trick. bonus was installed first time automatically
#installing new Sound Card (2009-04-26) Having found the need to replace my sound card. I found the delivery service excellent, the instructions fairly comprehensive - even for a dummy like me. Well pleased with result.
#does what it says (2009-02-26) Easy to install, easy to set up, did just what it said. Good value for a simple sound card.
#Second Sound Card (2009-02-19) I needed a second sound card in my PC to handle two programs symultaneously. The TRUST SC-5100 5. 1 SURROUND SOUND CARD slotted right in and the CD loaded the driver. Bingo! Two sound cards working perfectly.

iMic was the original USB audio adapter that enabled Mac and PCusers to add stereo input and output to their USB computers thatotherwise lacked the necessary hardware support. iMic allows youto connect virtually any microphone or sound input device

#Plays back well (2009-05-24) The instructions are all about recording from hi-fi onto pc. What I wanted was to play back Spotify throught the hi-fi. And it works well. Took some working out to set up the pcs audio aright, but not to difficult. I also disconnected the earth lead from the laptop to avoid hum, there is an earth connection from the amp available.
#simple, fast and reliable (2009-05-05) This has been one of the best purchases ever! this is a simple gadget that will enable you to transform any mac into your small scale home studio through Garage Band. I used it for the first time to record live a rehearsal of my Jazz trio, and it worked a treat! I highly recommend this to anyone wanting to start doing some proper recording in Mac.
#Does what it says on the tin (2009-04-08) Works perfectly on a mac with free downloaded software. Quality is as you would expect for digital -ie no where near the quality of vinyl or even CD but that s due to format rather than the hardware. I thoroughly recommend it! Easy to use too.
#Good concept, not so great result. (2009-03-30) I bought this product to use with my iBook. I had a mini-jack microphone and headphones and wanted to use them both while recording vocals on Garageband - yet only had room for 1 on my iBook. The iMac is now laying in a drawer somewhere. The concept of it works: a basic USB Audio Interface at a very reasonable price designed to tie in with the i-Rage. I found that using the iMic added a buzz to my recordings I could not get rid of, no matter what I did. So in fact it made things worse instead of it getting better. It was like ther...
#Fine piece of kit. (2009-03-29) I bought the Griffin iMic to enable me to transfer recordings from an older style digital portastudio which records onto zip disks. Without having the iMic, the only way I can do such transfers is to buy an external zip drive for the PC. Given the mixed reviews, I was wary about the success of the iMic but it has proved itself an invaluable item. It is simple to set up (just plug it into the USB port and load the software) and using the Audacity software included with the cable, I am easily able to use the stereo aux outputs from my portastudio and r...

#Brilliant sound (2009-06-03) I initially bought this because my voice recognition software refused to recognise the onboard sound card on my computer, but it turns out I can t use it for that purpose because recognition is not good enough, the test dictation I did came out as in in in in in in he in in in. . . ! But I completely understand that voice recognition software has very specific mic requirements, and this product is not designed for that purpose anyway, so that s definitely not a criticism of the X-Fi Go. However I have found another good use for it, my skype phone stopped w...
#heavyweight sound for a lightweight laptop (2009-05-12) I bought this to improve upon the poor sound quality from my Compaq mini netbook. Have had the device for all of 15 minutes and it has in my opinion already justified the cost. The sound is CD quality through both headphones (Sennheiser HD 465 headphones) and through stereo amplifier (bass and treble at neutral), where before the sound was flat and dull sounding. Haven t yet tried the virtual surround sound in a game, but the test was promising. All drivers installed easily from the inbuilt memory, software interface pretty se...
#Good Product! (2009-05-08) Even though a laptop can never come close to the power/performance of a desktop. . . this little dongle will probably give the best sound possible on your pc without hving to install a dedicated soundcard. Word of advice though. . . if you DO purchase this, make sure that you have decent speakers to listen to your music through!
#Not Perfect (2009-04-10) I bought this as a replacement for a previous Creative Lab PCI card and the sound is very good, but not as good as the PCI card. Only X-Fi Creative Lab products are compatible with Windows Vista. You will need to download the latest driver through the Auto Update function because there are some distortions using the basic software found on the dongle when you re O/S is Windows Vista 64. The latest updates resolve these distortions. It would have got 5 stars, but it does have two minor issues a) auto update stops working after you install the lastest driver...
#Think before you buy (2009-01-24) See my Amazon review of the LINDY-USB-2-0-Audio-Adapter before committing to buying this. Nice piece of kit but at a quarter the price, I thought the Lindy was a better general purpose usb sound device which is just as well built and better-sounding on three platforms: Windows, Mac Os and Linux (Mint) (no drivers needed for any)
