#Sont Voice Recorder (2009-07-03) I needed this to carry in my pocket for ideas, expenses and memos and it is the perfect machine for this. It has no computer connection but I don t need this.
#Sony Digital Recorder ICD B500 (2009-07-01) A neat, light and reasonably priced digital recorder. However, it takes a while to get the hang of it especially if you are a bit of a technophobe, like me! Ie. you need to select a folder etc. before recording. Erasing also requires practice. Overall, a good quality purchase at a great price.
#Sony voice recorder (2009-06-30) I found the interface non-intuitive and regret was in too much of a hurry to learn it. It was able to repeat my unrepeatables once or twice but I got utterly lost trying to get to grips with the designer s mindset. Nice build quality and good spec so it might suit others - hence a lenient 3 stars.
#Sony ICD - B500 Digital voice recorder (2009-05-26) It is easy to use and picks up voices without being too close. Rewind was a bit tricky to master, it kept going all the way back to the start, but once I read the instructions I soon got the hang of it!
#Excellent Product (2009-05-22) This voice recorder is exactly what I needed. As an postgraduate student conducting interviews for research, this voice recorder was quite simply the perfect tool. While my recordings usually take place in quiet offices or rooms, such is the power of the mic and the clarity of the recording that one is able to hear voices over unwanted noise or traffic. The controls are clear (and there are ample instruction booklets to help), and reasonably intuitive. Needing the fast-forward/rewind while the recording plays can be slightly tedious, but doesn t d...

#Useless as an office dictating machine (2009-06-24) A very neat device but useless for dictating letters or reports because if you want to change what you have dictated you cannot stop playback part way through your work and over-record. On a conventional tape dictating machine when you want to change something you just find the right place and dictate over the top of what you previously recorded. You can t do this on the Olympus. You have to either go to the end of the file and tell your typist to delete what has already been typed and re-type the corrected version, or re-recor...
#Small but perfectly formed (2009-06-19) I m no expert in digital recorders, but this seems ideal to me: it s very small, easy to use, and the recordings are good quality. Job done!
#Olympus WS-210s: Pretty versatile (2009-06-07) Bought this product based on reviews by other people on Olympus WS series recorders and the tie-pin mic. This is the stereo unit, of which, its the same as as the mono 110s, same manual. You get the same 3 mono quality levels as the 110s, plus 3 stereo quality levels. There is not, as I originally thought, 6 quality levels, it is just 3 mono and 3 stereo. Using a mono mic, only the mono quality settings are of any use, as a stereo quality setting delivers left channel sound only, not centre mono. In mono quality, sound is recorded ...
#I love it (2009-05-24) I bought this digital voice recorder because, after scouring the net for one, this is one of the few out there that transfers recorded data via its built-in USB connection. It is also capable of storing text data amongst others, which could be very useful. I really think this is a great digital voice recorder. I ve heard the quality from quite a few, and although this is not at the bottom end of the price market, I now believe it is worth the extra few quid. Others have sung its praises, so here I ll just give the pros and cons. PROS:Good sound quality - (al...
#Top Purchase (2009-05-03) Very pleased with the Olympus WS-210s Digital voice recorder. It s very good at cutting out background noise. I am a student and use it in lectures, it picks up the lecturers voice really clearly even at a distance. Easy to use, lightweight and quick file transfer to computer due to integrated usb. Excellent sound quality.

#Brilliant (2009-05-31) A great and easy to use recorder. This was my first digital recorder and had no idea what was good or not, but this product has been great. Plenty of storage space for recordings and easy way to figure out how to play back and delete, etc. I would recommend to anyone who has to record more than just memos and needs lengthy recording times. The playback quality is amazing.
#Olympus VN-3500PC digital voice recorder (2009-05-26) Very good product - records numbered tracks and can place into 5 folders - easy to access when plugged into PC. Can also transfer files to it from a PC. Small enough to slip into pocket, runs for ages on two AAA batteries. So intuitive to use you barely need the instructions. Excellent product !
#must have for students (2009-04-12) Make sure you get this one or one of the other in the PC range. If it doesn t say PC in the product name then don t bother - you won t be able to remove the files from the device. This one is great, no crackling, no fuss and holds a lot of data. thumbs up from me!
#Great little gizmo (2009-03-21) I tried out another, PC-only, version of this at work and was amazed at the ease of use, sound quality and its downloadability . It was so much more sophisticated than the old tape dictation machine i still occasionally used despite its crackly sound. This doesn t look as good as the PC-only version as it was all black and very slick, but this is even smaller and slimmer, and, of course, is mac compatible. It certainly was the cheapest mac compatible dictation machine I found, and it has all the quality I could ask for.

#Relief (2009-07-02) I am doing interviews for a course and was dreading using a tape especially as my wife is doing the same course so I expected one of us to overwrite the other. No problems - The recordings are clear, easy to find, easy to listen to and safe in their own little [or enormous] section. The amount of time possible is also amazing
#Simple, Sleek, Practical (2009-06-28) Simple design with few buttons. Ready in a few minutes to use. Easy to use. 4 folders to save recordings on different areas to. Small and practical. Excellent little sound recorder.
#vn-3100pc (2009-06-13) an excellent piece of kit, providing you only want a voice recorder. I was hoping to also use it for recording nature sounds when out with the camcorder as that microphone is useless. But this unit isn t up to that task, it only does what it says on the box.
#Panasonic Digital Recorder (2009-06-08) This is the second Panasonic Digital Voice Racorder that I have purchased. This one was bought for my daughter. As with mine, it works perfectly well - and records meetings without effort. This version has a longer recording time than mine - but both posses the same clarity when playing back the recordings. The software is easy to use - upload is via USB. The only regret I have is that my daughter would not swap hers with mine. . !
#Simple and easy to use device, but... (2009-06-06) The device itself is very easy to use. There are only half a dozen buttons, and working out what they do doesn t involve reading the manual. Copying the recordings across to your PC is also quite straight forward, though the accompanying software is not that impressive. For example: changing the location on your PC where the recordings are stored involves manually hacking the registry, as there is no setting in the software itself. Also, The software cannot convert from the WAV file format to the more recognised MP3 format. This ...

#Olympus TP-7 Telephone Pickup Hands-Free Cable (2009-06-28) Actually can t believe how good this was - it recorded both my voice and the person I was talking to very clearly. You could hear that he was talking on a phone but clarity was the essence of the day. I definitely recommend this product especially as it was so easy to use - one end in the recorder machine - mic jammed in my ear and telephone clamped to mic and ear! Simple really!
#Excellent reproduction (2009-06-25) Fabulous product when used with Olympus recorders. Used the very effectively recently when recording important conversation via mobile. No problems with too much hissing and good sound reproduction. Highly recommended.
#Does what it says it does (2009-05-17) An inobtrusive little number which fits easiy into the ear and records conversations clearly and easily. Thoroughly recommended!
#A must-have for any Olympus recorder (2008-11-21) This nifty gadget allows you to record any phone conversations - landlines and mobiles - without complications, and with excellent sound quality. I have used mine in combination with a WS-40 digital recorder for the past year and it is fantastic for phone interviews. I rave about it so often that two colleagues have purchased it based on my recommendation.
#brilliant and useful (2008-07-30) On occasions when I require audio recording from a telephone, this device has proved both reliable and affordable. Settings adviceIn my case, when using a Olympus digital recorder, the microphone does take some power from the device. However, the microphone settings on the device work (i. m. h. o) best by selecting non-stereo / low microphone sensitivity and to record at least SP recording quality. This optimises the incoming and outgoing voice levels and gives better quality recordings. The resulting recordings prove clear but clearly limi...
