#Best Freestat box for France (2009-07-04) Humax FOXSAT-HDR Freesat+ HD PVR Digital Box - installation recommended Simply to install if you are replacing an existing unit. We are using ours in France and the picture quality is excellent on our Sony Bravia flat screen TV. Some of the remote control functions a little confusing.
#A little miracle (2009-07-02) You need to know my history. Semaphore (not quite. . . ). 405 line B&W TV. 625 line colour TV. Video recorders (V2000, Betamax, VHS). OnDigital. Sky when OnDigital went bust. Sky too expensive for loads I never watch, so ditched Sky for Freeview (use pub to watch big sports events). LG hard disk/DVD recorder (videos dumped). Poor reception, glitches etc. with Freeview so: HUMAX, local installer of a shiny new dish, and FreeSat+ here I come! What a revelation. I still have my wide, flat screen 625 line JVC cathode ray tube TV of 10 years vintage, ...
#Humax Foxsat PVR (2009-06-30) The Humax Foxsat HDR Freesat+ HD PVR is a twin tuner satellite receiver able to record two channels simultaneously or one while you watch a second live. It can also record while you watch pre-recorded material and it can pause live TV at the touch of a button. To install it you need to buy a satellite dish with two LNBs, however, if you already have a suitable Sky dish, that will do nicely. Just plug the Humax into the mains, connect the satellite leads to the Humax and connect an HDMI lead from the Humax to the TV. If your TV doesn t have HDMI, then a ...

#Not bad (2009-07-01) This PVR is not bad, but it doesn t seem to have the same abilities to navigate and organize programs as the PVR which was provided to us by our cable company in the US.
#Setting up recordings (2009-06-30) Basically a very good machine except when it comes to setting up recordings . It takes a long time for the schedule to come up after pressing guide , so if you want to record something thats starting in 6 days time (if your going away) it takes mine hours to eventually load . Though it was really easy to install .
#Excellent but no good after less than a year (2009-06-22) I bought a Humax PVR 8000 - excellent machine for 2 years then the hard disk became faulty - the attitude and lack of help from Humax was amazing - it would cost over £70 to repair - I also bought direct from Humax a PVR9200TBX-G - this started going wrong after 6 months and the lack of help is appalling - I retuned the damn thing numerous times and it still doesn t record most of the time - it s hit and miss. They are brilliant for a few months but then just go wrong - avoid.
#Humax PVR review (2009-06-13) I bought this to supplement our sky + box - what a great product! A Which best buy it was a doddle to set up and is very easy to use - highly recomended.
#Great product (2009-06-10) Bought this product for my mum as it was one of the top 6 recommended by Which magazine at a reasonable price. Very good product, easy to use. Would highly recommend!

#More thought given to design reqd (2009-07-04) A useful addition to the range of PVR Twin Tuners, however this unit lacks the facility to archive hard disc recordings to a DVD. In addition sensitivity is poor, even when compared to other Humax units. Other comments which also apply to other Humax units are a very poorly written User`s Manual and the supply of a unsuitable Scart lead (i. e. pins not individually screened).
#DVDs are dead (2009-07-03) For years I struggled with Windows based computers and suffered all the crashes and freezes that they re prone to. I thought it was my fault until I bought a mac and found that computers don t have to be as stable as a toddler in a hurricane. Why am I telling you this in a review about a PVR? Because switching from DVD based recorders to a Humax is the same experience. If you re thinking of buying a DVD recorder or a DVD/HDD combi, ask yourself what you actually want the DVD bit for? Then buy a Humax. It s childishly simple to use, totally reliable...
#The 9200 just with added HDMI connection, you can t go wrong (2009-07-02) The 9300 is the replacement for the 9200, of which I have two already, with the main difference being a doubled hard drive size and HDMI socket and upscaling, but it is still standard definition output also via scart or composite. Other than that they are the same machine and can still be easily controlled using the same remote. With a recently upgraded 40 inch LCD screen I was not happy with the picture quality I was getting with the 9200 and decided to see if the HDMI of the 9300 improved it. I have not bee...
#Quietly Efficient (2009-07-02) After a bad experience with Thomson Pvrs - where they bring a whole new meaning to the word unreliable - it was time to switch brand when my last Thomson gave up the ghost. The Humax seems altogether more reliable, well-built and generally up to the job of recording programmes reliably and playing them back without freezing. The fan noise is certainly very quiet on this version (and much quieter than the Thomson) - so no complaints there. The handset is huge - made even bigger by a slide down cover which reveals even more controls. So, this is a bi...
#Humax PVR9300T (2009-07-02) This PVR is a great item - I love everything about it. Easy to set up and use. Good value for money

#maurice bedfordshire (2009-07-02) bought this machine 2 years ago, worked ok until last week, now wont work at all, keeps coming up error, load disc, when i load disc it just throws it out,any ideas whats wrong with it. this is the second machine i have had from amazon and both have broken down after two years.
#Things can only get better (2009-06-27) I have to say that I bought this item on the basis of the good reviews and name of early rising! I have been very disappointed in the quality of this product. Firstly, I found severe problems with remote controls. My other Panasonic equipment seemed to respond to my DVD, blu-ray and TV. Whether this is because of the VIERA link I do not know but it was tremendously frustrating to try and press the stop button only to find the SCART input had changed. One minute I was recording Wimbledon and the next I was recording Vera Duckworth. ...
#Panasonic DVD VCR combi (2009-06-17) Easy to use, the instruction book is very detailed and helpful if you first sort out what you want to do and then concentrate on that. I ve found that it gets easier with use. Its a brilliant machine, I can now record to disc or tape from the digital channels, but better still I can transfer all my video tapes to dvd. Clever stuff!!!!!!
#VHS to DVD problems solved (2009-06-11) This is one of the best VHS-DVD combos I have seen and good value for the money. It was bought with the intention of dubbing all the family VHS tapes that will otherwise be lost and it does that job beautifully and simply. The unit is connected, along with a DVD-HDD recorder, to a 37 Sony Bravia. I bought an additional HDMI lead as well as the standard SCART to get the added functionality and it proved to be a boon. As soon as it was powered up the DMR-EZ48VEBK automatically configured itself, setting up the clock, tuning and channel configur...
#Let down by sillyness (2009-05-25) There is only one thing wrong with this product, as far as I have seen. How dumb must you be to create a remote that is missing any kind of Eject function ? Not even an Open/Close for the DVD bay !That said, it s a minor, though hugely irritating, fault.

#no use (2009-06-21) dont waste your time and money. very poor recorder, mine couldnt even eject the tape(you had to lift the guard with your finger to get it out or it just banged away against the flap)AVOID
#The Worst VCR I ve ever had (2009-02-11) This is the worst VCR I ve ever had. It s just packed up after only 5 months and its death is unmourned. The user interface is terrible - the worst I ve ever seen. All the control menus are displayed against whatever is on the TV screen at the same time - not a blank screen. The control menus are icons, not words, which makes it doubly hard to find the one you want. Set up had me nearly in tears - and I m used to installing new kit. When it s in use for recording, you have to get down on your hands and knees to check that it s doing some...
#Absolute garbage (2009-02-08) This LG video recorder is a piece of junk. Considering this is a brand new 6-head Nicam VCR (it does say 4-head in the description, but it s 6), the picture & sound quality are appalling. If that wasn t bad enough, the motor inside makes a loud high pitched noise when a tape is playing or recording. I just wish I d read the other reviews here before I bought it. I will never buy another LG product again.
#rubbish product - avoid! (2007-07-25) plays old tapes you havebut records badly so stuff you record now - cant watch!
#LG LV880 review (2006-03-16) I have had this recorder now for 6 months and for the price it is a decent machine. However, as it has no search function, it can take you ages to find the beginning of a recording. This is extremely annoying and is a basic function I would expect to find on all machines.
