#a point and shoot that will give an SLR a run for its money (2009-07-01) i have owned digital cameras for some years now, my other Panasonic models are the LX2 and the TZ3. I also own traditional film SLR but have not been swayed towards digital SLR yet, and this is a camera that is not going to change that decision!i have only 2 major criticisms of this camera. firstly there is no manual mode, for focus or aperture/shutter settings (but my lx2 gives me that) and secondly it has a dedicated (not AA/AAA etc. ) battery. That means you have to buy a couple of spares because if you are ...
#Super little compact (2009-06-30) My partner owns the TZ5, which is a great little camera and I would have purchased one for myself, except Panasonic decided to superseded it with the TZ6, which for some extraordinary reason, Panasonic saw fit to reduce the size of the LCD display. . . why! I would have bought the TZ6. It makes no sense, the cameras bodies are identical. I can t help thinking this oversight was cunning ploy to get us to fork out the extra dosh for the TZ7, if so, it worked on me, because I bought one and have not looked back. Apart from the stunning AVCHD video mode...
#Not quite there (2009-06-28) Overall this camera is excellent as a point a shoot camera especially if you use some of the manual or scene setting features. Slightly disappointing battery life as many reviews gave this excellent lifetime but you will typically need to charge the battery after a day of use (50-100 pictures). The other recommendation is not to use the Intelligent Auto for indoor shots - switch to manual and set white balance. But other than that the camera has produced some excellent photos. One other comment - for the HD video, you will need a computer capable of ru...
#Nearly perfect! (2009-06-24) Panasonic Lumix TZ7 Digital Camera - Black (10. 1MP, 12x Optical Zoom) 3. 0 LCDI ve recently bought this camera, an upgrade from the FX33. I am so far very impressed with it. The monitor is nice and big and the picture is very clear. The functions seem good so far. The zoom is smooth and the choices of different quality video (from Jpeg to 720p HD) is an excellent improvement. It also records sound in Dolby Stereo 2. 0, which is not mentioned on the product description. Also, excellent is wide angle and being able to zoom whilst recording footag...
#An excellent piece of kit (2009-06-23) Having a good deal of top rate Canon DSLRs and the Canon G9,I was a bit wary of buying the Panasonic TZ7, but after reading all the reviews I could about this camera I decided to buy it as a pocket sized compact. I have not been disappointed. This is an excellent camera which will not let you down. It produces really good images especially when using the Panasonic Ai system. The 12x optical zoom lets you get really close to your subject and the built in stabilisation helps to keep your pictures pin sharp. I have no hesitation in recommending t...

#v good for first DSLR (2009-06-29) I am new to the SLR (or DSLR) world, so this is just perfect. Still learning a lot, and the best way to discover the power of this camera is to change the settings for the same scene and see the differences it creates. The nikon website has a very good video to take you through the different programs and the use for each. However, I couldn t use the P (auto program) as it is suppose to be in the video tutorial, for the settings keeps changing by themselves regardless of the dial turning I am trying to do. I am not sure if this is how it works...
#to buy or not (2009-06-28) this is my frist DSR camera i have had alot of compacts in the past up to 10m this was what i was worried about because it is only 6m but having be on hoilday and taking just over 1100 pics on it and the wife take pics on a compact 10m the pics on this are so much fuller of colour and the fine detail is alot lot better and for the price i would tell every body to one and it has lots of informtion on the menus that help you learn how to take better pics
#You cannot get better than this. Buy one!! (2009-06-22) I bought this camera on the advice of my brother, who is something of a camera buff. Initially, I was looking for a good compact, but he convinced me of the error of my ways and I bought this. Am I glad I did!I won t bore you with the details, as everyone else has written far more eloquently on the subject than I ever could, but if you go to Ken Rockwell s excellent website (Ken Rockwell dot com) and read his review of the D40 it will tell you everything you need to know and more. You can even link through to Amazon from there a...
#amazing! (2009-06-21) this was my first dlsr, and i love it, it s so goo, and produces photos so much better than the digital camera i was using. very good, reccommend it to anyone :) also cheap + the lense is good :)
#Cheaper and Better than D40X (2009-06-20) The only major difference between the two is that D40X comes with 10 megapixel. This allows you to take bigger photos, probably too big for novices. And we should notice that with a smaller megapixel value, D40 actually outperforms D40X in sharpness (not always but this applies on this situation). At the moment D40 is cheaper than D40X by almost half. For anyone whoever struggling between the two, buy the D40.

#small is beautiful (2009-07-03) I am a big, big fan of Canon products and I love this camera, it was exactly what I was looking for in that i wanted a camera I could slip in my pocket. Picture quality is excellent macro for close up detailed shots is impressive and the Amazon price is excellent. Treat yourself for the summer!
#Great Camera (2009-06-29) Was going to get something completely different, but read some reviews and instantly changed my mind to this camera - and wasn t disappointed. Its really easy to use, takes great pictures and is very nice & neat. Only negative was that whoever packed the box forgot to put the software cd in, but who uses the supplied software anyway?!
#Good little compact camera (2009-06-29) The 85 IS is a great little camera - easy functionality and great clear images. As is the way of compact camera the shutter time delay needs to be allowed for but hasn t been problem.
#Excellent little camera (2009-06-27) Bought this camera after being very disappointed with a Sony that didn t last two years without breaking. Sturdy build with a quality feel to the finish, good clear screen, beautiful true colours. A very good buy.
#Lens Error (2009-06-25) I would not recommend buying a Cannon Ixus, after just over a year mine failed with a lens error, after searching online I found this is a known fault with the cannon Ixus line. I contacted cannon and they refused to repair it unless I paid a large amount. How unusual that so many people report the lens error that makes the camera unusable just after a year.

#sony so easy (2009-07-01) great little camera charged in no time so easy to use not too fiddly. a great starter camera for anyone, easy to read screen instructions i cant fault it fantastic for the price.
#Nice compact model (2009-06-26) It is easy, compact, cute and a good model to go who are looking for a compact model in sony.
#User friendly and serves common purpose (2009-05-08) I am using this camera over one month, its very good to use for normal picture with friends and family. Bettery life should be the concern as it only lasts for 3 hours. In that case u need at one extra bettery. Otherwise its ok with its configuration.
#Good (2009-04-04) Good price and a good product, but I had to wait for a long time to get it.
#sony cyber shot 10.1mp (2009-03-25) a great camera for every day use not too technical and easy to use from the moment it was charged up

#not bad (2009-07-04) Bought this on reviews both prof. and amateur. Pros: nice and slim - almost as small as my phone! nice finish and clear bright screen. like the rechargable battery. Has optical view button - small but very handy in bright condition - I would say almost invaluable. Have you seen all the idiots on the beach trying to get a snap of little johnny/lucy in the sun? Cons: still has some shutter lag - no good for candid child pictures of faces. Limited zoomYet to try all the facilities but pleased with this little job abeit a tad expensive.
#Little wonder (2009-06-22) Fantastic little camera. I have a bigger digital SLRs and this packs in almost as much. Superb image quality and HD video too. It s truly pocket size - smaller but a bit fatter than my mobile phone. I have no problem recommending this item, especially with the clever little SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus 4GB SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus 4GB 15MBS which folds in half to pop straight into a USB port. Mr E.
#CANON DIGITAL IXUS 100 IS (2009-06-21) Worthy sucessor to my Canon Powershot S50 (which is still going strong). I wanted to update to a 10MP Plus camera that was not bulky like the S50, this model fits the bill perfect although I was torn between other models in the Canon Range. This one won because it filled one basic requirement and that was to fit in my shirt pocket without being detected. So now I can take supurb pictures without lugging a large camera around. Also it has a large LCD screen that is usable in direct sunlight (unlike the smaller screen of the S50). I chose Amazo...
#Cracking little wonder (2009-06-17) I ve had a Canon IXUS 600 and a 605 for several years now and when I bent the case of the 605 (!) and purchased the 100 IS. Absolutely amazing. Fantastic photos and the video is 720 HD now. I can even keep the old battery from the 605 as use it as a backup. Can t recommend it enough.
#Good compact camera (2009-06-12) I already own a Nikon DSLR, which is a fine camera, but it can be a bit heavy to carry for long distances (plus I sometimes feel a bit nervous carrying it around my neck in inner city areas)I decided to buy something small & light, but that also took reasonably good photos, for a budget of approx £200. After reading various reviews, I opted for the IXUS 100. With it s matt black case & rounded corners, it looks very smart. But that thing that really strikes you, is how tiny it is!!!This camera is the same width/height as a credit card & approx the...
