#Great Product, great price (2009-05-17) What a great product! I was a little nervous about opening the (very well packed) box, but once I d decided where I was going to put the turntable, it was a quick plug in of the USB cable and the mains cable, then in with the software disc and ready to go. The programme supplied is ideal for those people like myself who are less techy minded. It asks you if you wish to record. You start the LP. You press yes to record and then next when you want to stop recording. You then enter the track details which are automatically entered into your ...
#Simple to use and efficient (2009-04-30) Install the program from the CD into your computer, connect the turntable via USB et voila! You are ready to convert your old vynil songs not edited in CD into the modern format that is mp3. One glich: the program does not detect the silence between songs as well as it should be but no worry: they thought of the manual option which works fine. I read something like a upgrade program but did not try it. Good purchase I do not regret.
#EZ Vynil to CD (2009-04-20) Easy to set up and use. Very good results with pretty clear and accurate reproduction. Only problem is that vynil albums have differrent volume levels, and there is no mechanism for adjusting. Overall, good value for a simple peice of kit.
#it s a piece of cake (2009-04-14) For simple digitalising of all your old vinyls this is a doddle. Sound quality is fine on all but the most worn records. Just remeber to download the most upto date copy of EZ Vinyl Recorder from the web ( instructions included) plus a couple of changes to the computer (again simple instructions included ) and you re away. First recording was finished within 20mins of opening the box. Not sure of sound quality through home sound system as not bothered to rig this up yet.
#Poor sound quality when played through stereo (2009-04-04) However good the unit is when transferring vinyl to digital via PC, be warned if you wish to also listen to vinyl played through old fashioned speakers. I experienced excessive distortion on almost every vinyl record played through my system and speakers (which are very good quality). Using headphones was no better. The only way I could stop every bass note from becoming a fuzzy mess was to turn the bass right down and up the treble to its maximum, but then every high note became distorted as well. The unit is cheap but ...

#Great Turntable (2009-06-27) I bought this as a present for my mums birthday as she wanted a hifi but with a turntable so she can play her old records but still have something that plays a cd! And i have to say she loves it and so do i, it looks realy nice and plays everything perfectly! The only thing i thought was going to let it down was the sound but the speaker are actualy realy good and the volumes goes quite high on it! If your thinking of buying it i would say go for it as its just perfect!
#Personal view of this item (2009-02-05) We needed a replacement for our ageing hi-fi system that had radio, cassette and record playing facilities. We also had space limitations so the Crosley all-in one system seemed to be ideal. It was despatched within five days of our order and arrived promptly. The controls are a bit basic but they all work. Cassettes are quite slow to wind/rewind but that is not a major problem. The radio is restricted to AM and FM and therefore suffers from poor reception at times. It is dial tuned and, having a small dial, is difficult to tune acc...
#Thrilled to bits!! (2008-12-04) Exactly what we wanted - plays everything we own. Beautiful cabinet looks and FEELS right. Would recommend to anyone with a mixed bag of favourite music - don t bin your singles, L. P. s or cassettes. No tone adjustment, but the sound quality is surely good enough for most people s needs. Will make a perfect present for anyone over 30 !
#Beautiful centre-piece and plays the old formats too! (2008-09-12) The sound is full and rich for such a small unit (Has 2x 5W Speakers housed internally). The turntable features 33, 45s or 78s. For anyone that wants a nice looking retro CD/Tape/Radio that also wants to play their old vinyl and cassette collection this is a great choice. Overall a wonderful unit for any audiophile, makes a great gift for any friend or family member (I purchased mine for my Father) and the classic design fits into any living room, diner or study.

#Poor quality (2009-06-10) Cosmetically not unappealing, albeit a little on the cheap side, but build quality is very poor. The platter on mine moved up and down as it rotated so needle skipped constantly. Returned as faulty and purchased a soundlab usb turntable instead.
#Veho USB Turntable (2009-04-17) I have been waiting over 3 weeks for the customer Service section to respond to me, they say they aim to reply within 48 hours so I m not very happy at all.
#Motor noise is louder than the music... (2009-04-04) I didn t expect this to be amazing, but i thought at least the music would be louder than the motor noise. It wasn t. If you cant afford a better record player i wouldnt recommend this to anybody. The sound is truly appalling. I sent mine back to amazon - I was very impressed with their returns service! If you re about to hit buy now, think about going to a richer sounds open box sale or spending an extra £20 - 30. It s really worth the extra. Rich.
#Wonderfull player & software (2009-03-20) Excellent player and pickup, comes with replacement stylus. Easy to install software - worked first time!
#Simple to use turntable. Manual could be better. (2009-03-17) The turntable is simple to use. It has few controls and is very basic. There is no on/off switch. Moving the arm across to the record switches it on. There is no cueing control. The unit comes with a spare stylus and a USB lead. It has phono sockets for connection to a hi fi but phono leads are not included. Audacity sound editing software is provided on a CD. Most of the brief manual is about Audacity. The manual is not very clear but reading it while reviewing the menu options on screen it is possible to get the ...

#I must be missing something !!!!!!!!!! (2009-04-01) I bought this because after 25 years plus my faithful Technics turntable finally packed up and i didn t think it was worth repairing. So after reading other reviews decided to give the Steepletone a go. Even though others had said you need to put blue tack on to stop the needle skating across the record and that there was no base, after seeing that it got 5 stars by some people i gave it a go. I wish i hadn t ,it s annoying the hell out of me,it jumps ,it skates, the sound is awful. Luckily i kept the rest of the Technics syste...
#Does the job!! (2008-12-14) This record player seems to have increased substantialy in price since I bought it some weeks ago. It was delivered in a reasonable time and is easy to use. However, I was slightly irritated to discover that it does not play new vinyl!! But not that irritated as most of my records are pre-1990. For 28 quid I wasn t expecting the moon, and only play my records occasionaly so it does the job. If you have stacks of LP s and enjoy collecting and playing new ones too- spend more money on somethig better!!
#It could be worse, it could have been an Amstrad! (2008-11-19) At £28. 50 don t expect the quality of Bang & Olafsson. The noise you get from the Steepletone is comparable with the record players of the eighties so if like me you only want to play your old records that haven t seen the light of day for over twenty-five years this is genuinely worth buying.
#portable turntable (2008-11-11) ideal christmas present. lightweight, just plug in a play! We have loads of old LPs and singles in the loft and this is great for a night of nostalga. sound quality is ok, but for the price this is ideal for the occasional use and great present idea.
#Great little player (2008-10-14) This is a simple, basic turntable. The sound is perfectly adequate, although some people may find it not to their taste. However, all I want to do is listen to my old LPs and 78s and it s fine for that. I can also download to PC and MP3,so, all in all, I m delighted with the turntable. It does the job and at avery reasonable price.

#Absolutely Superb (2009-03-05) When my parents separated my father left us his old Hi-Fi, which is late 60s early 70s. Although it would have been cutting edge in its day, I wasn t interested in it, because like most teenagers had already built my own powerful system. So for quarter of a century it sat unused. However last year, I officially became old when I concluded everything in the charts was utterly crap. So I started to look for new music elsewhere. My father had left an extensive record collection. So I dusted off the old Hi-Fi and put on some records (note the 30 year...
