If you own a Garmin 300 series Sat Nav you will find that it comes with the biggest cigarette car charger you can find. If like me you run a lot of USB devices in your car, you may have a multi USB car charge adaptor for your cigarette lighter. If you plug your Garmin into this via this plain extension lead it thinks it is connecting to a PC and goes into that mode. #Misdescribed but works with a bit of adjustment (2009-06-21) Picture of product shows uk standard three pin plug but mine was delivered with continental two pin shaver type plug. Also USB plug is just too big for the recessed socket on my Tomtom XL routes sat nav. But with a bit of filing of the plastic it fits and seems to work ok. So only two stars even though v. cheap, for the fiddling about and wrong description.

And it was, the charger s USB socket s plastic surround is too fat to fit in the XL s socket. Anyway, I ll keep it as I am sure it will come in useful for charging something else. Should have read the review before purchase (hindsight!!!).

#do not buy... (2009-04-10) Do not buy this charger it is not a specific tomtom charger. In fact it is just a generic motorola charger, that does not even manage to charge the tomtom v2 model that we bought. Be warned!!

#Garmin Nuvi 660T (2009-05-28) This is an extremely good product. What i particularly like is the large screen which makes it easier to type in search details and the voice prompt which actually names the road or street you are to turn onto, you will also get a laugh at the pronunciation of some of the roads and street names.

#Garnib Nuvi Case (2009-06-03) the Nuvi carry case is very basic, not leather, and as the other reviews state, it offers no protection against the unit sliding out nor to prevent the on/off switch from being pushed (risking the battery running out whilst not in use). Interestingly, this case is cheaper in Halfords (there s a first then!) at £9. 99 (yes, genuine Garmin too) and no carriage etc. Probably better to find a cheapo camera case with zip and strap, in Morrison s or similar.

#Fits snuggly (2009-03-24) My Garmin Nuvi 250 fitted very well into this case. It s easy to take the satnav out, but it doesn t fall out easily due to the elastic material on the sides. The opening is a flip cover though, which some people may not like, but I ve found it works for me. The material is pretty nice too.

#Is This a useful item for Sat Navs (2009-06-03) Had to send the product back as it would not fit my Sat Nav. The case actually looks larger in a picture format but anyone intending to purchase this type of case should beware as the case is too small and narrow to fit a 4. 3 size Sat Nav. The protecting cover inside is also too small and thin.

#perfect for tomtom xl (2009-06-03) i was really happy with this case. it zip opens into two - one side has moulding to snugly fit your tom tom and one for your car charger etc. the case is tough but lightweight. its ideal.

#TomTom Hard case (2009-06-02) A great holder to protect satnav but it does not have space for cables which means I have to have 2 separate holders, one for the satnav and one for the chargers and connectors.
