#It Simply Doesnt Work (2009-06-22) Bought this item to copy some old 8mm Camcorder tapes. . Opened the packaging with anticipation only to find the Install disc was in French! - still carried on - followed the limited instructions and could not get a single image to appear. Read all the instructions I could find on the Internet and nothing worked. AFter an hour of frustration removed the device, packed it up and sent it back to Amazon. Complete waste of money and my time - Avoid like the plague.
#Video Transfer (2009-06-18) A useful product. The instructions could have been better but overall good value for money.
#Good Product (2009-06-09) Well, as a lot of people have left bad reviews on this I felt I should clarify. It s a good product relatively easy to set up and does what it says it does. You can copy files from VHS onto yout PC and burn them or store them as digital files. Now, some key points are. YOU MUST have the AV leads plugged into AV out sockets Not AV in, most AV sockets on the front of VCR s are AV in. In this case, you need a scart switchable adaptor, which means you can switch it to be AV out. THat is the product that is recomended with this EZ grabber, I purchased the tw...
#What Problems (2009-06-09) Ez Grabber designed to capture video source from VHS, V8 and Hi8. You can then burn files from your PC DVD, VCD and SVCD after editingI bought this item after reviewing both negative and positive feedback. Okay, so the manual is not so easy to understand. 1. Load cd, and install driver2. Install EZ Grabber software3. Restart computer, attach Grabber, open software. 4. select settings (PAL for the UK)5. Press record6. Edit and burn through nero/ Roxio or whichever editing software you normally use. This was so simple, and with fantastic results for such...
#EZ a Reality (2009-06-06) I was looking for something easy and this was just what the Doctor ordered. Connections to my computer directly to my video camera was very simple. Beginning a recording and transferring to CD was a simple as 1-2-3. As a surprised bonus the software allows you to capture photos while video recording for some even better pictures. I would have to say this has been my best purchase to this date.

#Not that great (2009-06-26) The interface in the computer is really nice, but the connection isn t great. I live right next to BBC tower so. . . Was a bit disapointed.
#usb pc freeview tv receiver (2009-06-12) August PC/Laptop USB Freeview/HDTV Receiver - Silver - Vista Compatible. I found the installing and the signal scan via Caradon Hill (Cornwall)quite easy. The scan produced 69 programs and these were all found for BBC & ITV + the usual freeview for the area, inc radio and local networks. Getting my head around the instructions were all available via the disc that was enclosed. I found it easier to make a hard copy (paper copy) and follow the instruction. All in all, a novel little gadget. The recording was a little more complicated for me ...
#August PC/Laptop USB Freeview/HDTV Receiver - Silver - Vista Compatible (2009-06-03) good item. Got 62 Ch through this receiver. Small antena works wellProblem: Take time to scan channel and antena needs to move around in order to receive chs. .
#Digital TV in your hotel room (2009-05-30) This product was purchased primarily so I could watch digital TV on my laptop whilst in on holiday, and not miss my weekly fix of CSI. The installation from the CD was straight forward and easy. The antenna supplied did not pick up any stations - but this was to be expected as I live in a bad reception area. I used the freely supplied coax adaptor to connect the August USB to the household TV antenna and picked up over 75 stations. The supplied antenna did not work in the hotel room (not many would) so I connected the unit to the hotel TV...
#Poor performance (2009-05-20) In order to clear some space in the kids bedroom, I thought I would get rid of the old portable TV and use this item instead. All I can say is what a disappointment. After trying with the supplied aerial and two separate roof aerials, the best I could get from this device was 6 channels (BBC1, BBC2, BBC3, BBC4, CBeebies and BBC Red (!?)). Needless to say, the item was returned and I bought a more expensive Pinnacle product - that, connected to the same roof aerial detected 56 channels. Take my advice - spend the extra money on a better quality produc...

#USB TV (2009-06-29) Unfortunately CD supplied did not run - needed to download driver and software ( took over 1. 5 hrs over broadband) once downloaded took 10 minutes to set up but works very well through an external aerial getting 65 channels!
#I tried but could not get this to work (2009-06-15) I was frustrated and disappointed when I could not get the product to work at all and yes I did try it with different ariels, one being a rooftop. I spoke to Digital Daffodil and they said they would test it upon it s return. Their tech man cleared it as as fully functioning and was offered either a refund or replacement. They were helpful
#Works well in poor reception area (2009-06-12) Item came rapidly, effectively next day delivery. I had a few problems with the software but when I downloaded the latest driver and software from the Geniatech website it works fine on my XP portable. I bought it for use in my caravan, and I am very impressed with its performance. We live in a very poor digital reception area, my neighbours and I normally use Sky, because Freeview boxes and digital TVs suffer poor reception, particularly on the ITV multiplexed channels. Using the house external aerial the TV Stick gave better recept...
#Really good product (2009-04-25) and even better for the money. Ordered friday lunchtime arived Saturday. Everything worked and the software was excellent as well. Using the supplied aerial picked up 49 stations form upstairs (some radio). The remote supplied was different to the picture but no worse for that
#dvb-t tv stick vista ready (2009-04-22) I AM no techy when it comes to electrical products ! my wife was going to buy a £360 tv with built in dvb-t from our local camping shop. i said i had heard of these products but wasnt sure wether it would work so i thought for the sake of £18 its worth trying . . . i thought it might pick a few channels up which is better than £360 tv we was going to buy. . . I CANT BELIEVE THAT THIS PRODUCT IS SO EASY TOO INSTALL ,I HAVE INSTALLED IT ON MY LAPTOP which as vista . MADE SURE I INSTALLED THE DRIVERS FROM THE CD AND NOT FROM WINDOWS. AND THIS TV...

Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T Stick (USB 2)

#USB Freeview Stick (2009-06-23) Note that the supplied antenna is useless in most places! If you have problems with a things missing, sound and/or picture loss/breakup then chances are poor signal quality/level. All USB sticks like this seem to need much better signal than normal Freeview boxes. Otherwise works well - easier to include within Vista Media Centre than their own player + simpler to use.
#It actually works - unlike so many other sticks. (2009-06-19) I ve been trying to get all kinds of DVB devices to work in 2 houses with differing results - and to my astonishment - despite the tiny aerial - this one works. . . I do vaguely remember reading a technical review which made me think that this device s chipset was going to be best at dealing with issues such as multipath - which is why I was interested in it for some time. . . low cost swung the buying decision. Note it works well with Windows Media Center. All in all - recommended!!!
#Great price and works perfectly (2009-06-17) The tuner stick itself works perfectly. I have it attached to an outside aerial without any need for a booster and get great reception. I am using this with Windows Media Center, although I did try out the software that comes with the stick. I found it to be badly designed (you couldn t accept changes to recording settings - there was no OK box or anything similar, the EPG didn t work for me either). If you have a PC with Media Center this would be a perfect cheap choice for a tuner. If you don t, perhaps you should check out reviews fo...
#Perfect for freeview (2009-05-27) Second purchase. 1st from PC World. works perfectly, great for recording a program when watching another channel on the main TV. records to myvideo on the desktop then plays back perfectly with VLC.
#TV on your Notebook (2009-05-26) WinTV-NOVA-T USB Stick - DVB-T Digital freeview TV tuner stickBought this product through Amazon,(excellent price and very quick delivery), after returning a similar product to a local store which had it on sale as a special offer - the store product gave up on me after a few days and a replacement also failed to work. Very weary of WinTV USB stick after reading the mixed reviews on Amazon but had a WinTV card installed on my PC, many years ago, which had worked well so took a chance and purchased. Installation a breeze - installed the stick using the...

#Excellent Device! (2009-06-01) I didn t expect this product to work on anything other than a proper aerial. I had some difficulty at the beginning using Blaze DTV. I did not seem to be able to find any channels when I scanned - even though I could use the device using Windows Media Centre - and I contacted August technical support. They were VERY helpful and pointed me to an upgrade for Blaze to version 3. 5. I seemed to have the same problem. I then noticed that there was a check box which was to close the window after scanning and SAVE the SCANS. I had not checked this box as I...
#Amazed! (2009-05-28) Having read reviews of this product, I decided to by an amplified arial to go with it to ensure good connectivity. Well, I didn t need to. The USB Freeview receiver arrived first, just 2 days after I had ordered it and ahead of the stated delivery date. Well done to Digital Daffodil. Very impressed. I decided to set it up on my HP laptop in my apartment bedroom on the second floor just to try it out. Having installed the enclosed software, plugged the receiver in and attached the supplied antenna, I did a scan for stations. 64 channels on the first pass! I then...
#TELITLIKITIS (2009-05-14) I use an external aerial and it still will not pull in all channels the picture freezes and sometimes will not show a picture at all, waste of money, you get what you pay for!
#Laptop TV (2009-05-13) After an initial attempt with the supplied aerial and software we plugged it into the roof aerial cable and used Windows Media Centre instead. The supplied software was unable to pick up any freeview channels which is odd as our old freeview box had about 60 channels before it died, so we tried Windows Media Centre and got about 60. It is an amazing bit of kit for the money. The picture quality is superb and we can now record stuff without pratting about with video tapes. As we couldn t use the software we couldn t use the remote so bought a cyberlink media p...
#Fiddly to Set-up but works satisfactorily (2009-04-01) For such a small sum this delivers well. I have installed it on my daughters Vista PC where it is now working to our satisfaction. On first installation and set-up it found no TV channels even on a boosted roof-arial that normally delivers dozens of them. On resetting a couple of times it decided to co-operate and found the full set of channels. I think that the key factor is the converter supplied with the unit that goes from normal co-ax to the tiny arial socket in the unit. I have since bound this junction round with elect...
