#Oh dear........ (2009-07-04) It is not possible for me to comment on this item which I DIDNT recieve this morning! I ordered this model via Digital a few days ago. BUT - the product delivered is the wrong model entirely and came presented in a non olympus box - I have another olympus which I ordered via ask which is great and came in an olympus box and looks the part - this item from digital looks cheap BUT remember - it is not the VN - 3500 as they have sent me a VN 5200!!!!!! Caution advised re this seller
#Brilliant (2009-05-31) A great and easy to use recorder. This was my first digital recorder and had no idea what was good or not, but this product has been great. Plenty of storage space for recordings and easy way to figure out how to play back and delete, etc. I would recommend to anyone who has to record more than just memos and needs lengthy recording times. The playback quality is amazing.
#Olympus VN-3500PC digital voice recorder (2009-05-26) Very good product - records numbered tracks and can place into 5 folders - easy to access when plugged into PC. Can also transfer files to it from a PC. Small enough to slip into pocket, runs for ages on two AAA batteries. So intuitive to use you barely need the instructions. Excellent product !
#must have for students (2009-04-12) Make sure you get this one or one of the other in the PC range. If it doesn t say PC in the product name then don t bother - you won t be able to remove the files from the device. This one is great, no crackling, no fuss and holds a lot of data. thumbs up from me!
#Great little gizmo (2009-03-21) I tried out another, PC-only, version of this at work and was amazed at the ease of use, sound quality and its downloadability . It was so much more sophisticated than the old tape dictation machine i still occasionally used despite its crackly sound. This doesn t look as good as the PC-only version as it was all black and very slick, but this is even smaller and slimmer, and, of course, is mac compatible. It certainly was the cheapest mac compatible dictation machine I found, and it has all the quality I could ask for.

#Great Product, great price (2009-05-17) What a great product! I was a little nervous about opening the (very well packed) box, but once I d decided where I was going to put the turntable, it was a quick plug in of the USB cable and the mains cable, then in with the software disc and ready to go. The programme supplied is ideal for those people like myself who are less techy minded. It asks you if you wish to record. You start the LP. You press yes to record and then next when you want to stop recording. You then enter the track details which are automatically entered into your ...
#Simple to use and efficient (2009-04-30) Install the program from the CD into your computer, connect the turntable via USB et voila! You are ready to convert your old vynil songs not edited in CD into the modern format that is mp3. One glich: the program does not detect the silence between songs as well as it should be but no worry: they thought of the manual option which works fine. I read something like a upgrade program but did not try it. Good purchase I do not regret.
#EZ Vynil to CD (2009-04-20) Easy to set up and use. Very good results with pretty clear and accurate reproduction. Only problem is that vynil albums have differrent volume levels, and there is no mechanism for adjusting. Overall, good value for a simple peice of kit.
#it s a piece of cake (2009-04-14) For simple digitalising of all your old vinyls this is a doddle. Sound quality is fine on all but the most worn records. Just remeber to download the most upto date copy of EZ Vinyl Recorder from the web ( instructions included) plus a couple of changes to the computer (again simple instructions included ) and you re away. First recording was finished within 20mins of opening the box. Not sure of sound quality through home sound system as not bothered to rig this up yet.
#Poor sound quality when played through stereo (2009-04-04) However good the unit is when transferring vinyl to digital via PC, be warned if you wish to also listen to vinyl played through old fashioned speakers. I experienced excessive distortion on almost every vinyl record played through my system and speakers (which are very good quality). Using headphones was no better. The only way I could stop every bass note from becoming a fuzzy mess was to turn the bass right down and up the treble to its maximum, but then every high note became distorted as well. The unit is cheap but ...

#Great Sound and Compact Design (2009-07-04) Olympus WS-321M - Digital voice recorder - flash 1 GB - WMA, MP3 Love this product. THe sound quality is great and so is the space. I often forget things when I am taking the minutes in meeting so I record the meetings. This recorder also come with a fast play feature which is great for listening to meeting as double to speed to check if you have missed anything. The menus take a bit of getting used to however this is well worth the effort. The battery life is great and the device is really small. Wonderful for all you voice recording a...
#Very good, with one reservation (2009-06-16) The WS-321M recorder is good - very well designed and made, easy to use and with astonishingly good battery life. My main reservation is that, when used with the Olympus ME-15 tieclip microphone, distortion easily occurs if the speaker has a loud voice, even on the lowest of the two sensitivity settings. It seems to be geared to normal conversational level, not to a lecture or sermon where the speaker is projecting his/her voice. Maybe a different tie-clip microphone with a lower output is the answer. Any suggestions gratefully received...
#Olympus WS321 (2009-03-08) This has been a great little unit. Clarity of recorded sound is excellent, even over a sketchy phone line. The fact that it doubles as a USB stick makes file transfer dead easy and the unit itself is also pretty easy to use. I have been using this to collect interview data for a dissertation, absolutely no complaints - it just works!
#Complicated but very good (2009-03-06) The recorder is very good. It has a sensitive microphone built in Which recorded every word of a recent Board Meeting with utmost clarity. The equipment is complex to use to its full capacity but simple enough at the basic level. Reading the manual before attempting to use is essential.
#Excellent voice recorder (2009-02-13) Have been using this for a few weeks now and must say battery life is impressive. Lasted around 15 hours of recording with some playback to check the quality of the recordings etc! Oh the quality is amazing, it recorded my lecture clearly when i was sitting around 30 metres from the lecturer! Great product

#Rapid deivery & wicked item!!! (2009-06-18) Excellent Product. . . even at gig level rehearsal in small rooms it really does the bsuiness. Also at gigs in large rooms. AMAZING
#Very handy little gadget (2009-05-13) I bought this product as a replacement for a MiniDisc and Microphone setup as the battery in the MD was long since dead and I was tired of the awkward setup and slow workings of the MD. I m an opera singer and use the recorder to record lessons, my own practice and concerts, and so far the H2 has been exactly what I hoped it would be. The recording quality is very good (you just have to make sure that you ve got the right recording levels) and it s very simple and quick to use. It does eat battery power fairly quickly, but that is not a problem i...
#RECORDING ACCOMPANIMENT (2009-05-08) The H2 exceeded my expectations. It was easy to set up and use. The recording quality is excellent and easily downloads onto my PC from which I can burn CDs of piano accompaniment
#Zoom Zoom (2009-05-05) The recorder is easy to use with very good authentic sound reproduction. The sensitivity of the microphones is excellent giving a faithful stereo split. The recorder does everything I need of it ie. instruments and voice. One of the instruments being a flute a particularly difficult insrument to reproduce. I highly reccommend it and feel it is good value for money Bert
#zoom h2 (2009-03-27) The product was as expected very good for a portable recording device. I have used it to record lectures with Q&A sessions where the directional mic is useful, forward for the speaker and surround for audience and speaker. I use Kubuntu as my OS and the H2 is not plug in and play but using the SD card I can transfer the audio files to my PC.

The U Record USB music archive system lets you easily convert your favorite records and tapes to MP3 format using your turntable or tape player and computer. Simply connect U Record to your computer with the included USB cable and the rest is easy. Use the included software to record your music, then transfer it to your iPod or other personal media player.

#u record pre amp (2009-05-19) Useful bit of kit. Works well, though it obviously takes a long time for each record/cassette recorded.
#Does what it says, but... (2009-04-15) It is a soundcard and turntable pre-amp, it comes with good software, and it makes brilliant recordings of my own worn records. They even sound like CDs. The ION uRecord ION uRecord USB Soundcard & Turntable Pre-Amp is also easy to use. But I first wanted a pre-amp, to go between my turntable and my hifi amplifier, and I assumed that came as read. However, I d missed the fact that the only output is via a USB cable. Nevermind, I now have the pre-amp on order at only £12 and I m building a great CD collection of my old vinyl records.
#Ion u record (2009-03-18) Don t waste your money on one of these. Whilst its very straightforward to use, I found the end result very disappointing& definitely lo-fi not hi-fi! there was lots of hum from residual earth problems with my record deck, and the overall sound quality was like listening to much loved old vinyl records played over a medium wave transistor radio.
#Easy to use-some i-tunes glitches (2009-01-27) This is a relatively easy option for copying vinyl to digital. It sits by the turntable and is connected to it via the phono leads-this means disconnecting it from the amp and does mean you cannot listen to your records as you copy them, at least not through Hi Fi-it is possible to hear the tracks through the computer, with my laptop this is just about sufficient to distinguish which track is which and the start and end points-quality improves if listening through head phones. It is possible to record a vinyl side as one track-this has t...
#ION U Record USB Pre-amp (2008-12-07) Incredibly easy to use for converting vinyl or cassette tape to digital files. You will need an additional lead to connect the unit to the Hi-Fi headphone port (strangely not supplied), but other than that it s very good. Clean vinyl records carefully and use a good stylus. Set the U Record volume control on about 70-80% and the hi-fi volume on about 30-40% for best true-sound results. If recording an LP with multiple tracks, use the on-screen button to make a new file for each track, and also a file for the interval when you flip the record o...
