#Netgear DG834G Modem / Wireless Router for BT line (2009-07-01) I have been using a BT Voyager 190 for years with my AOL account. This connects to my PC with an ethernet cable - but only works in the room with my main BT socket. I have always avoided asking AOL for a wireless router because they want £15 a month rather than £10. Instead I bought my own Netgear DG834G wireless router so that I can use my laptop anywhere in my flat. Plugged everything in and the setup disk configured everything automatically in a few minutes - completely hassle free. Also needed to buy an LM USB Wi...
#A must buy for the home network! (2009-06-29) I bought the modem/router after my dodgy Belkin finally died. It was reasonably priced, compact and quick to set up. So far I have had no problems at all (touches wood) and the security setups are really straightforward to utilise. I highly recommend this item for anyone who wants a cheap little wifi modem/router for the home.
#Broken firmware makes this product a door stop (2009-06-23) Beware of some technobabble below. The bottom line is that this will either work with your machine(s) or will drive you up the wall. And you can t configure your way out of trouble. This product is good right up until the point you need to renew your DHCP lease, or do a DNS lookup for a local machine name. I m running the latest firmware and it s, quite simply, broken. After an amount of time of working (around a day), I found that most (except Linux) clients became completely unable to talk to the router or beyond it. ...
#As easy as pie!! (2009-06-21) I agree with other reviewers, that this product is so easy to set up and use it just about does it for you. You do as it tells you and hey presto you are now wireless!! I would recommend this to everyone as I ve never had any problems or difficulties. Just read the instructions and it can t go wrong, it is practically idiot proof!!
#Easy to install (2009-06-20) Excellent product at an excellent priceEasy to use and its very easy to installI was set up and ready to go in seconds, would reccomend to anyone

The Linksys Wireless-N ADSL2+ Gateway is the all-in-one solutionfor Internet connectivity. The ADSL2+ Modem function gives you ablazing fast connection to the Internet far faster than a dial-upand without tying up your phone line. The Router functio

#Wireless Modem/Router. (2009-05-21) Checked Which reports first and decided on the Linksys WAG160N as being the best buy for my particular needs. Purchased it via Amazon which gave the best price for item from Keep Talking Shop . Item delivered promptly and is up and running and working well. It was easy to install following disc instructions supplied. This wireless link has noticeably improved my Broadband Speed. My phone line extension to my Computer was too long thus causing speed problems. In addition this product gives sufficient wireless protection to avoid interferen...
#Very stylish design coupled with good performance (2009-05-07) I ve never used a Linksys router before and have normally stuck with Belkin and have tried Netgear (which I didn t like). The firs thing you notice about this Linksys modem router is it s stylish design. It s relatively simple to set up and install and I had no problems in setting up for my wireless network. The software is easy to follow and you just follow the wizard. Being an `N router it has far better wireless coverage over our house than a G router. I d recommend an N router over the G or B routers any day for ...
#The first wireless router that worked in my house.... (2009-04-22) I have previously tried three different wireless routers over the years, made by BT, Thomson and Netgear. None have worked reliably, perhaps due to the large amount of metal used in the structure of my house (particularly plumbing). The Netgear worked best but it still was slower than it should be, and the connection dropped out annoyingly often. This Cisco unit, however, worked straight out of the box with no fiddling about, no re-positioning needed. The data-rate is the same as my wired connection, and now all my P...
#nice small, and excellent range wireless router (2009-04-16) I have had problems in the past with routers, but this one advertised as having a very impressive wireless range. The router is nice and small in size, and designed very well. It has an inbuilt antenna which is more asthetically pleasing to look at. It has just 1 button on the entire router. . a reset button. It seems that ciso knew which button people would most like to use. This button didnt really seem to work very well for me when I tried it a few times, so I just usually reset the router by flicking the mains s...
#Fine but Not 100% (2009-04-12) We reviewed this new router having used Netgear dg834 Rangemax as a baseline to compare against. The router looks neat and trendy, having blue Led symbols in the black plastic bonnet shape. Normally have our router wall mounted - and this one does have keyhole slots to do that. The cable ports are at the back when its flat, but that means they are at the top when wall mounted if you want the LED symbols the right way round. Set up was pretty straightforward. Didn t use the wizard, as we have quite a complex topology. Normally the default IP address...

#Quick and easy install, great performance. (2009-06-18) I am new to wireless routers, so unpacked and installed with some trepidation. Just followed the on screen instructions and within 30 mins was up and running. No more dropping internet connection and appears to have a good range. Really pleased so far.
#Great router , but dynamic IP needs to be set up manually (2009-06-06) I have knocked a star off the rating due to dynamic IP setup , which i`ll explain later. The router is a sleek unit , solidly built with clear displays. It has no issues at all with my Windows XP , but I can`t comment on Vista. The light show in the dome in the middle , which are the antenas , has good range and a strong signal. The user interface has many options whilst being fairly straight forward to use , and includes some extremely robust security features. Included with the router is a sturdy stand and a d...
#Netgear DG834PN rangemax MIMO-G wireless ADSL Modem Router (2009-06-06) An easy to install wireless broadband option for anyone with medium IT skills. 4 wired ports as well for peripherals etc. No problems so far. By far the prettiest modem/router on offer as it is a unit which is likely to be out on show for optimum coverage! I can recommend it.
#Netgear Wireless Router (2009-06-01) Product recommended to me by a techie and it hasn t failed to impress, as did the saving over RRP.
#easy to setup, coverage not great (2009-04-30) I found this easy to setup, but find that the signal is not strong enough to cover the whole house (4 bed 60s semi). The BT homehub from next door has a stronger signal. Where the signal is available, it has worked well.

#Super Sevice & Product (2009-04-15) I am writing this as I never buy a product online unless they get 4/5 stars. This router is perfect, I am with talktalk and you cant get any better than this for my PCs. Very happy with the router the price and the service from netgear is first class+.
#Good customer service (2009-04-13) Good customer service. The router didn t work with my cable broadband so they refund the full amount incl Postage I paid.
#Happy broadbanding! (2009-03-31) Bought this as we were repeatedly losing our internet connection. We used to have the standard router issued by BT back in 2003 when we took out broadband with them. Bought this because of the reviews. It has been great. It was easy to install and we have not had a loss of internet connection since! Would definitely recommend it.
#Easiest piece of kit in the world (2009-03-10) Anyone wishing to purchase this will have looked at the numerous reviews already left for this piece of kit but I felt I had to add my comments as I have never come across something that worked first time, out of the box, with no tweaking or fiddling necessary. I am no techie and wanted something that I could just plug in and forget about and I am certainly NOT disappointed. The instructions were clear, concise and accurate which meant that when they told me I would see a certain message on my monitor, that s exactly what I had. The wh...
#Netgear DG 834 Router (2009-02-25) What a difference this router has made to my computing life, it has considerably speeded up my downloads from a trickle of between 0. 5/5mbs to a incredible 300/500mbs!!! This router does everything it says and more. All in all a most excellent product.

#Superb! (2009-06-29) Had this router a couple of weeks now and I am very satisfied. I have had none of the problems mentioned. I get an excellent signal on my Dell 1545 laptop anywhere in my two bedroomed house even though the dell only has wireless G. connection is instant when I boot up. nice to watch your downloading info on the display and the other displays are useful aswell. Never had to reset it or whatever, no drops. the latest firmware must of sorted any problems out (well for me anyway). its not cheap but you get what you pay for as far as I can see.
#On the ADSL version: don t bother. Complete waste of money (2009-06-24) Pros: Handles mixed OS s (Windows, Mac iPhone) well. Local clients always connected. Cons: poor chassis design, major overheating issues, poor performance which will slide inexorably until it dies (and it will)Summary: Major over heating issue eventually renders it useless, internet connection is unstable and drops constantly. Had sent my original one back, now the replacement has done pretty much the same (the second one I opened the vents on the back to allow more air in, thus invalidating the warranty, but...
#LITTLE BEAUTY (2009-06-04) Really pleased with this Belkin product. Easy to set up and does what it says. Would highly recommend to anyone.
#disappointing - now returned (2009-05-27) Purchased to replace / upgrade (!) an existing Belkin g router. My home setup includes an adsl router, an upstairs wireless pc and a nettop(eee) used mostly upstairs. The upstairs pc and the eee are both n compatible so an upgrade to the wireless router seemed logical. Initial setup done the eee just couldn t hold a reliable signal - it worked close to the router but dropped signal at the top of the stairs where the signal from previous router just worked. Tried the eee with an edimax usb n modem and same problem. The upstairs PC als...
#The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (2009-05-19) I ordered this and the matching wireless N USB Adapter. Amazon price was very keen. The good - easy to set-up and the speed, wired the Gigabit ethernet is blisteringly fast and wireless is very fast and coverage in our stone walled barn is excellent (much much better than 54G) with no deadspots. The Guest access feature looked good but we never got to try it. The bad - wireless was extremely flakey even though the internet connection remained stable. Wireless would drop every few minutes and even after (windows) repair would eventually...
