#Great value for money (2009-06-24) After contacting BT who were going to charge me £25 for a similar product, I decided to opt for this one instead. I am very pleased I did. It was so simple to set up and produces a more than adequate signal. Over all, compared to much pricier rivals, this product represents great value for money.
#Fantastic and easy to install (2009-06-23) I just got mine and took me only two minutes to install. I agree with other reviewers that you should insert the installation CD AFTER you connect the adapter. I used a LAN connection before for the internet and now using this new wireless adapter instead I can t notice any real difference in the speed of my connection. Overall, its quick and easy to use with a very competitive price.
#Finally a solution!!! (2009-06-19) I have had quite a few problems with the wireless on my laptop. Basically the wireless card and CPU aren t getting along (never buy a HP is my second recommendation after this product) rather than replace the internal card, I decided to get a USB adaptor. Firstly I tried a netgear that was £25. Worked great at the start, then started disconnecting after 5 minutes for no reason. Wasn t sure if it was the laptop or the netgear wireless adaptor. So I bought this LM tech as a test. This is the best £8 you will spend on anything to do with wireless...
#bad first impressions... (2009-06-17) I give this product 3 stars because my first impressions are poor due to the difficulty in setting it up. I have XP whereas the supplied drivers are vista-only and do not work with XP. I had to root around the internet for an XP driver, which wasn t very straightforward as I couldn t find anything on the manufacturer s site and had to dig into support forums. So if you re only prepared to buy a device that works out of the box with the supplied drivers I cannot recommend this. But happy to report it is working now and hopefully my experience ...
#Good basic product. (2009-06-15) Does the job, easy to install but little problem with picking up strong signal through a couple of walls.

#Does not work with Vista 64 and over 3Gb Ram (2009-07-03) This product does not work properly with Vista 64 installed if you have over 3Gb Memory installed. Certain applications (World of Warcraft and several torrent plus others) cause Vista to completely freeze. The problem has been around since 2008 and no drivers have been released to fix this problem. Apparently there is an old driver that does not have this problem however has it s own problems including huge spikes. Apparently most (maybe all) RT61 chipset wireless cards should be avoided if you have vista 64 and over 3Gb...
#Spot on for Windows 7 RC1 (2009-07-01) Bought this to replace a LinkSys WMP54G ver. 4. 1, which was always problematic, even under XP, where the SSID had to be enabled so it didn t lose the connection for good. Under Windows 7 the LinkSys card was a nightmare, and would not even use the native RaLink drivers. I followed the general concensus i. e. get rid! - and bought this cheap card after some Googling. The card arrived promptly today, was fitted in 5 mins (it uses standard connections, so you don t have to use the supplied cabled aerial if it s a replacement card, although I c...
#Perfection in a... well.... PCI card! (2009-06-24) arrived very quickly, plugged it in and was very easy to install! Now I have 100% singnal continuously through two walls!

#Brilliant product (2009-06-03) Great product that does exactly what it says on the tin. Picks up all of the WAN in my street. Config tool doesn t save settings but used the m$0c and it worked a charm.

#Fast to install, fast in use (2009-06-13) Have finally converted an oldish PC to wireless and dispensed with cables trailing to the phone socket. Easy to install and set up, now working with wireless throughout the house at good speed. Connected to BT Home Hub very easily. Very happy with my choice, and a great price at Amazon Jersey.
#Poor experience with Windows XP (2009-06-08) And yes I do know what I am doing. I fitted the card according to instruction and installed the drivers from the CD, after restarting the computer I found that I had a very fluctuating reception from my BT home hub to the card, something not experienced using Beklin USB dongles on other computers and the installed PCI card on my computer. Right then, lots of fiddling, uninstalled, reinstalled, uninstalled my Security software and tried and alternative,, no better. I then did the most obvious thing and went to the EDIMAX web site and down...
#Works (2009-06-07) Using in media PC in living room it communicates with the D-Link DIR-655 through two walls. Fast and makes good use of Virgin 20 megabit connection. Much cheaper than competitors, but still looks quality.
#Brilliant (2009-06-05) What a great product, for a great price. To get the best out of this, go to Ratlink and download the RT2860 driver and install it without using the one provided in the CD. Five minutes to install and set up. Why can t all things be so easy and work so well?Fantastic with a Linksys WAG160N ADSL router and superfast.
#Excellent after driver update. (2009-05-19) Very good product that worked well for me. I will not write a long review of this card but I will let you have some very valuable information that may help. Do not install drivers from the CD. They are hopelessly out of date. Download them from the Edimax site. This solves 90% of the problems people are having with this card. There are still bugs with the latest Edimax drivers however. This is because they have not updated their driver package to include the latest chipset drivers from RALINK (who make the actual chip that is used in thi...

#Set up with Vista on a Secure Network - the easy way! (2009-06-26) OK, I thought this would be straightforward. I have a Netgear wireless router and wanted to extend the coverage of my network. I tried several ways and the following was the best for my secure Vista setup. It is easy when you know the following steps. 1. Go to Vista and select the following --> Control Panel --> Network and Sharing Centre --> Manage Network Connections2. Right click on Local Area Connection --> select Properties and a new dialogue window opens3. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) the...
#Belkin Wireless Universal Range Extender (WURE) (2009-06-22) Very good product to increase the range of your network. Was a bit concerned when I read some of the reviews. Ignore the negative comments that say this product does not work!! There will be some that come out of the factory that are faulty but not as many as people would indicate!!Admittedly it is tricky to set up but as long as the guides (that a few Amazon customers have written) are followed, a stress free managed network will be the outcome. Overall I would recommend this product but would not purchase another as I ...
#belkin range extender (2009-05-29) Took a while to get going, needed help from Belkin (which was excellent). A few teathing problems, mainly due to security issues but all in all a good bit of kit that does exaclty what it says. Very prompt delivery.
#Belkin Wireless G Universal Range Extender (2009-05-24) HiIf you follow the advice in the review by Mr. A. G. Crean you should be able to get this unit running. Following his procedure I had no problem getting the unit toconnect to my network. I then re-positioned it about half way between the router and my laptop. The Belkin unit connected but did not seem to extend the range. I then mover it 7m sideways (NOT towards or away from the router)it connected again and extended the range a lot in this position. Its been running like this for 2 weeks now, improving my signal strength fr...

#router (2009-07-02) Good solid router, easy to setup, works straight out the box. Loads of config options, good wireless range.
#Great router for using with a PS3 (2009-05-14) I bought this router because my Belkin was having real problems with a PS3 - constantly dropping connection and very slow speeds, making online play impossible. The Linksys solved all of this and has worked like a dream since I bought it. Highly recommended for PS3 users.
#Very good product (2009-05-02) I ve had this item for about a month now. I use it with Virgin broadband. It was very easy to set up, and I linked it to an existing Linksys router to provide additional wired connections as well as the wireless. This was also quite easy to do, following advice on the Linksys support centre. The wireless coverage is excellent and very responsive. I m happy to recommend this product.
#Good 3rd party firmware compatibility (2009-04-23) I ve tested the free alternative OpenWRT and Tomato firmwares on this device and they both work flawlessly and greatly enhance this fantastic low cost router. I decided to stick with Tomato firmware because of the eye-candy RT graphs and QOS functions.
#Perfect (2009-03-15) Another one to add to my collection works great and flashes with decent firmware easy
