#Excellent little lens (2009-06-22) I have had this lens for a few months now and use with a 450D. I ve been using it as a general walk about lens and got some absolutly wonderful results with it. The slight telephoto effect means you do have to move about rather a lot, however I ve found this makes me think a great deal more about the actual composition of the pictures, giving better overall results. The f 1. 8 means you can take pictures inside without a flash which gives a much more natural light and throws the rest of the image into soft focus. I ve blown many pictures up on...
#Can t compare with my kit lens (2009-06-17) I bought this lens mainly for indoor shooting with no flash on my EOS 50D. I thought the wide aperture would make this possible but I still had to up the ISO to 1000 and above to get a decently fast shutter speed even at f1/8. The lack of IS added to my dilemma. Also at this wide aperture, the focus is extremely shallow and I was not even able to focus a subject completely, only a section of it. The autofocus was about the only impressive feature as this worked well even in low light. The 50D s peripheral illumination correction syst...
#Just buy it! (2009-06-06) Had this lens for just 1 week so far. Haven t failed to be impressed with it in every way. As many have said, it s build quality isn t great, but what do you expect for the price. However the results are just fab. Buy it!
#You have Canon DSLR? Why don t you have this lens yet? (2009-05-24) Now, all of my Canon owning friends have this lens, and it is the favorite lens for almost all of them. Expect of course for those few who can afford L-series lenses, but comparing this to an L-series lens isn t fair anyway. It is very fast with f/1. 8. And for the money it is the fastest good quality lens you can get. Canon s next prime lens with faster aperture of f/1. 4 costs about four times as much. Yes it is faster and USM, but you would expect it to be with that price tag. Obviously this isn t a cover all s...
#Prime Lens, 50mm (2009-05-18) Good glass, fair price for lens. A prime lens make users think and look for using other ways to make images with a fast and fixed length lens, this improves users skill. This lens f/1. 8 av gives excelent performance and can be used in or out of doors with good results. The price for f/1. 4 and f/1. 2 primes is high, and this Canon lens will be welcomed in lens bag, both for price and performence.

#rocket air blower (2009-06-30) great for shifting awkward bits of fluff from all sorts of things , ample power to shift most things , great bit of kit.
#Giottos Rocket Air Blower (2009-06-12) Seems expensive for a rubber blower, but it worked first time, removing a massive bit of muck which was on the sensor when the camera was delivered brand new. This is the least-invasive cleaning method, which is why I wanted to try it before resorting to sensor swabs, which in my opinion have the potential to damage the sensor. I now use it to clean the back of lenses before putting them on the camera, as well as rear lens caps. A worthwhile purchase.
#Excellent (2009-06-03) Great piece of equipment for photographers. I had a piece of dust in the upper corner of all photos I was taking with my D-SLR. This managed to dislodge it and now I m getting great photos. Apparently it is better than cans of air as it is not compressed therefore doesn t leave streaks on the lens. Would highly recommend this!
#pocket rocket (2009-04-20) gives a good long blow to clear away the dust, grit or anything thats on the lens or sensor
#Nice tool (2009-04-17) It s a nice tool for removing the easy dust from the sensor. Not suitable for removing stubborn dust, but it s sensor-safe.

Canon ET60 Lens Hood For Ef75-300mm F4.5-5.6/2 /3 Usm/2 Usm/3.

#good (2009-06-25) Good fit & easy to fit the lens, very good for blocking out un-wanted light entering the lens.
#Camera Lens hood (2009-06-13) I am very pleased with the lens hood. I have already used it to take many great photographs.
#Does exactly what it s meant to do! (2009-05-13) I bought this lens hood mainly because I was fed up with taking my camera out in slight rain or a misty day and find that the water droplets had marked the front of the lens. This is so anoying!! As I noticed the dots every time I took pictures with a sky blue background and had to spot heal them away every time in photoshop. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hood also fits my EF-S 18-55mm IS but does crop the picture below about 25mm but even still a bonus! I haven t taken many pictures into direct sunlight to notice th...
#Functions well but... (2009-05-10) Very happy with the lens hood, fits well and gives clearer image when closer to pointing near the sun. however canon ought to include these with all their lenses rather than just the L series, also £8 for an injection molded piece of plastic seems abit high, Very good piece of kit tho
#Fits 400D (2009-04-30) I bought this for my 400D and would like to confirm it fits no problem. When zooming right out for the widest view - there are black edges at the corners where the hood is visible. However, you have to zoom in only very slightly to avoid this. I removed one star for this reason. Agree it s a bit expensive for what is essentially a bit of plastic. Removed another star for this reason. It s a well made and sturdy hood - it does the job.

On most lenses, that manufacturers provides a focusing mechanism that extends only a few millimetres, partly to keep down cost and also to restrict the lens to extensions for which its optics are optimised. To provide additional extension, you can add one or more extension tubes between the camera and the lens, to make the lens focus at closer distances and it can produce higher magnification. When using the extension ring with a Canon body, the camera should be set in the M mode. The macro extension tubes is fit for the Canon EOS cameras including 1D,1Ds,5D,10D, 20D,30D,40D,300D, 350D,400D, 450D, or any canon SLR Use this set,it will not downgrade the optical quality of your lens. Sharpness and Saturation can be still maintained. But they are not meter-coupled. They do not preserve the automatic diaphragm. It should be used with manual lenses with their own aperture dial. There is no electronic connection between the body and the lens. Automatic lenses can be used with their widest ope...

#Best £10 ever. (2009-07-03) Bought these for my EOS 500D. I was going to buy a 100mm canon/sigma 1:1 macro lens and then move up to the MP-E65 5:1 macro. Well I ve just saved £300 - £400 because these tubes give better than 1:1 when used with my 18-55mm kit lens so there s now no need to buy the 100mm mentioned above. Obviously, you lose all electrics to the lens but as another reviewer points out, you can pre-lock the aperture - I took over 50 photos with these last night before I even knew about that and the results were still fantastic. I must point out that you have to get real...
#Good fun (2009-06-14) What a great little toy. Ok, its not the same as a decent (very expensive) lens and it is somewhat limits your cameras functionality but come on! At a fraction of the cost it opens up a whole range of possibilities with close up shots. I was somewhat skeptical but it works. If you want the best then you will have to pay for it but for the adventurous and not so wealthy, I would highly recommend it
#Disallustioned (2009-06-06) Not what they appear. No instructions. Not suitable for digital lenses with no apeture settings. Does not transfer info from lens to camera. Delivery excellent.
#It s cheap and it works! (2009-05-11) Great product - allows you to shoot much much closer! Of course you lose autofocus, IS and aperture control (although depth of field button trick fixes this last problem - see other reviews), but for a tenner (and that s with delivery) it does a great job. If you want a serious tool for macro photography, then this is probably not a product for you - using it all the time could get a little tedious, but for an occasional shoot it works just fine. To get a decent DOF you d have to stop the lens A LOT, so the exposure time goes up hence a tripod /so...
#attachment issues (2009-04-30) I can t tell if they workor not as my EOS 400D will not attach to the tube and as a result I found it impossible to focus on anything . I must admit for £4 I wasn t expecting anything fancy but was willing to give it a try , gladly I obtained a full refund from the supplier

#Remember to switch off before changing lenses !!! (2009-06-27) The users manual tells you to switch the camera off before changing lenses, but does not say why. I made this mistake when an unidentified bird landed nearby and I wanted to photograph it quickly. Doing so causes physical damage wihin the camera which costs £92 to repair. It might have been covered by warranty but I can t find it. Will I get it repaired anyway? No, because I can t trust myself not to do the same thing again.
#Nikon 55-200MM F4.5-5.6G AF-S VR DX Black Lens (2009-06-13) After a year of using a cheaper non Nikon lens i finally got that fed up with missing out on those all important shots because i had to keep manually focusing. So i thought Enough is enoygh it s time to open my wallet and let the moths out and get a real lense. So to see what lense would do me better off i went to pick the brains of my local photo shop a well big company and got all the info i needed and told them i would have a think about the amount off money i was about to spend with them. Got onlione as soon as i got ...
#Does what it says on the box (2009-06-01) Having been away from serious amateur photography for many years I had recently purchased a Nikon D60 dSLR and was looking for a lens to supplement the standard 18-55mm lens. I would have liked the 70-300mm (Nikon AF-S VR 70-300 f/4. 5-5. 6G IF-ED) but the price was prohibitively expensive, this lens is a steal at the price. The image is sharp, the autofocus is quick, it s not heavy - what more could you want?
#Not built to last & not robust- autofocus can suddenly fail! (2009-05-31) I ve had this for just over 18 months to use with the D40X as an occasional alternative to the kit lens, and I doubt if I ve taken more than a couple of hundred photos with it at the most. At first it seemed like a really good lens and the quality was excellent. However when I needed it to take a quick snap recently it wouldn t work at all and I completely missed the opportunity to get a good picture. Obviously I assumed I d done something wrong with the camera settings but after a lot of fiddling with co...
#The D40 needs this lens (2009-05-29) I cannot add more to the excellent (5-star) reviews already submitted, but I have just purchased this lens and can only say that it does the D40 real justice, if you don t mind swapping with the kit 18-55 when you need it (splash out on the Nikon 18-200MM F3. 5-5. 6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX if you do not want to swap lenses) I would actually say this lens is essential, matched to a D40, with the kit lens, I can see no need for anything else for day to day photography.
