Amazon were selling this not much more than the non originals and certainly cheaper than jessops etc. If you are going to spend good money on a decent camera then it makes sense to put a decent battery in it.

#Works fine, and a great price (2010-08-17) The original battery in my EOS 300D is on its last legs and I didn t want to spend a fortune on a genuine Canon battery, when from past experience, generics have performed better. Popped it in the camera, which fired up straight away. Took a few photos with and without flash, everything working fine. However, be cautious of the claimed suitability for all the models listed. #Great (2010-03-09) Camera bag full of tapes but 45 minutes of battery. It ran out just as we were about to fly over the Grand Canyon. Several thousand pounds for another holiday or a couple of quid on a spare battery that is better than the original and sooooooooooo cheap. I know which I would have chosen and have but too late.
