Indispensable for protecting your valuable lenses this cap shouldbe used on all ultrasonic lenses with a 58mm filter size.

#Lense cap (2009-05-02) Having lost my lense cap during a helicopter flight over Mount Cook, NZ, I was desperate to replace it - this lense cap fitted the bill excellently!
#Good... up to a point (2009-02-09) Well made and fits well, as you would expect. However it is a bit of a shame that the extra step wasn t taken to make this so much better. All it would take is a little loop to accept a cord, to prevent the cap from being lost (again) and it would have had the two extra stars.

#The best rear lens cap I ve ever bought... (2009-05-22) The Lf-1 is a piece of equipment. It s very hard to find fault with it. Operation couldn t be simpler - if you re familiar with door knobs, it s a similar principle. I was able to operate it without even reading the instructions (which is a good job because there aren t any). Ideally, you should have one of these per lens, although you could get away with one less than the number of lenses you have, if you are prepared to keep a lens attached to the camera at all times (which is not as stupid as it might sound. )Seven quid. Yo...
#Expensive but still good value (2008-12-06) These caps are expensive but they fit nicely onto a nikon lens, and at the end of the day are cheaper than replacing a lens. Shame nikon dont sell all there lenses with the caps included though.
#You get what you pay for (2008-11-20) While I agree with the previous reviewer regarding the cost, I must say You get what you pay for! I have one of these on all my lenses whether they be Nikon, Tamron or Sigma. The Tamron and Sigma rear lens caps are, to put it bluntly . . . . . RUBBISH. They take ages to get on and you can quite easily cross thread them. The Nikon cap fits all third party Nikon fit lens and is so easy to fit a child could do it. Yes they are a bit expensive but my cheapest lens was £70 so I consider them worth the money. As a side issue I always purchase fron...
#Does exactly what it should (2008-04-20) Not a lot to say really, the cap fits neatly over the rear of your Nikon lens and protects it from damage. Screws on and off easily and is nice and secure. Why 4 stars and not 5? The price is a bit high for a piece of moulded plastic IMHO.
