#Great unit (2009-06-20) Very good little unit. For a budget unit like this the sound is very clear and exactly what I wanted when I first started looking for a CD/DAB/ipod dock.
#Good sound for a good price (2009-06-14) It s been in place for a couple of weeks now, sound is excellent as is the ipod dock,The DAB signal is a little limited, I can only pick up BBC stations at the moment, but that s probably go more to do with the position and not the unit itself. So in short I would recommend!
#So glad I bought this! (2009-05-31) I was initially looking for an inexpensive CD player, and came across this - have never had a dock for my iPod, and decided to splash out. I am so glad I did - the quality of both the hardware and the sound is excellent, it s very neat and stylish, and more than does the job I was hoping for. It was easy to set up, fun to explore, and I have now worked out how to attach my iPod (there is no docking fitting for the 4G iPod Nano included, which threw me a bit, but I will hunt out the one that came with my iPod - though in fact it works absolutely fi...
#Happy Purchase (2009-05-26) Not a lot to say other than I m really pleased with this system. Compact put packs a good punch with good sound quality. Easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.
#Great System - nice sound, compact, easy to use (2009-05-25) I liked the look of Sony in the pictures and wasn t disappointed, it is sleek and modern but not over-the-top so will fit into most styles of home and room. Watch out though as it is very deep and may not fit onto many shelves, etc. Feels typically Sony and fairly well built. The DAB/FM/AM is a nice radio combo - there are 2 aerial inputs one for DAB and one for FM/AM. You need an external for DAB unless you are in a REALLY good signal area - I originally got one from B&Q for £20 but then realised that my TV aerial gives...

#Good idea, but very badly-designed product. (2009-07-02) This was bought for me as a birthday present. I got it installed in the car and it worked ok as a digital radio, the analogue car radio picked up the signal just fine and it provided good sound quality. The . mp3 input worked well too. But here are the problems:- * The aerial is glued to your windscreen. If you try to unpeel it, it will leave the sticky behind and can t be reused. * You can detach the device itself from the mount (it s held by magnets), but you can t easily remove the mount from your windscreen beca...
#Sadly a waste of time.... (2009-07-02) I ordered 2 units for my London taxi and a pal s. So I fitted mine first, aerial neat, hid all the wires and switched it on. soon tuned in to 5 live and Talk sport (both of which I can rec on AM on my AM/FM radio). But could I get sports extra or BBC 6 or 7 ? No way. The unit needs an exterior aerial in my opinion, and even then I would like to test it first. Very dissapointed, sent them both back, got a refund but lost the cost of insured return post.
#Good product with a few drawbacks (2009-06-30) I am very pleased with this - easy to install and the quality is as good as can be expected from DAB (i. e. expect CD quality and you ll be very disappointed!). However, if I could give one piece of advice it would be: Get The External Aerial! This makes a big difference to reception and unless you do all your driving in areas of excellent reception it s essential. The other little drawbacks are:- My windscreen wipers interfere with the signal, even with the external aerial. - It is getting very difficult to find clear FM frequencies t...
#A good effort, but reception and sound quality compromised (2009-06-27) I decided to try this out because I like Jazz FM and BBC Radio 7, and wanted to hear them in the car. The only problem during installation in our Ford KA was that the sticky clips aren t really very sticky, and it wasn t always possible to put the cables where I wanted. Then off we went. The unit found spare FM frequencies to transmit into the car radio, but in the end it was easy to select four manually and I have them set up on the AST band on the Ford radio. Unfortunately the Ford radio isn t very sensitiv...
#Highway to cheap in Car DAB (2009-06-23) The Pure Highway works by picking up the DAB signal and broadcasting it to an empty slot on a car s fm radio. The set up could not be easier: as a bloke, I followed the standard, ignore the manual, installation procedure. The normal outcome is that everything ends up in one heck of a mess and takes ten times the prescribed set up time: not with the Highway, each intuitive step proved to be correct and the unit worked first time. I live on the east coast of England, away from major conurbations and I did find that the signal was weak local...

#Good when it works (2009-07-04) I ve had my Pure Evoke Flow for a couple of months. The sound quality is great. The interface is terrible. [And my unit has the disconcerting habit of crashing and restarting at about 7. 30am every morning. And sometimes it mutes itself for no apparent reason. Maybe I should return it as faulty. ]The Flow does everything I d have hoped for, but I find it very hard to use (and I m a Software Engineer by profession!). Of course, trying to make available a vast number of radio stations, podcasts, listen again stuff, and so on, with a small scr...
#It comes close, but ultimately fails (2009-07-02) This radio has some amazing features, notably that it recognises and plays podcasts as well as BBC iPlayer listen again radio, all streamed wirelessly. However, it has significant teething problems that make it s usability poor. In brief: 1. There is no Ethernet port. Despite the fact that mine is plugged in a few feet away from the wireless router which works well with all other wireless applications, it will cut out and re-buffer programmes which takes a while. 2. It doesn t remember where it is in a listen again. In other word...
#Pure Evoke DAB radio (2009-06-17) This is a great little radio. The quality of the sound is good and so far I have found it very easy to use. The manual downloaded to my PC and apart from being a very long document it does help with the finer points of having a wifi radio!!
#Best buy I ve made in years (2009-06-14) Bought this radio about a month ago. No-one in any store could tell me much about it . . . . and none of them could demonstrate it. I bought it anyway . . . . . . . . . . . . and I love it. I live in Yorkshire, and am listening to radio stations from New York / Atlanta / Dallas . . . . in my kitchen.
#does what you would expect it to do (2009-06-11) I wish it would be stereo but then I guess it would have to be bigger and less mobile. I use it now over a month with different Internet channels and DAB. Everything works fine.

#Too Bright (2009-07-04) I wanted a dab radio with Ipod dock for the bedroom, that would sit on the bedside table. I was very pleased with the appearance, sound quality and functions however on the first night it was difficult to get to sleep due to the intense light emitted by the bright blue LED around the volume dial. This is ON despite the unit being switched off and if you have a CD in, the CD lamp is also illuminated. Why these have to be on I have no idea and have contacted Roberts - even in any room I could see the light pollution a problem. The remote looks very date...
#Very good sound (2009-07-01) This Roberts Radio/ipod/cd player is exactly what I wanted, good sound easy to use, and very compact and good looking.
#The excellent Roberts MP53 (2009-06-13) I had been listening to a friends MP23 for about a year before impressed by its quality of sound and overall excellent performance I decided to purchase one for myself, opting for the newer MP53. I have not been disapointed, same sound, overall performance and value for money I had come to expect. Also impressed by the changes Roberts have made, they have obviously been reading the Amazon consumers feedback. In particular, as well as the various settings for rock, jazz, classical and so forth, the MP 53 now has the ability to let the user set ...
#Roberts MP53 is very good indeed (2009-06-03) I bought this (from my local independent retailer who recommended it based on my pretty vague idea of what I wanted) about a month ago and it is very very good - sound quality is excellent. Setup of the DAB stations is very easy (to the extent that I thought I must have missed something) in that basicaly all you do is plug it in and turn it on!It s pretty intuitive for the radio/cdplayer so these work without looking at the instructions. iPod dock works using the iPods own controls (again without reading the manual - but two minutes with th...
#Good looks, simple to use, great sound (2009-04-08) I ve had my Sound 53 for a month now. It has all the features I need, looks and sounds great, and having just one cable (the mains supply) it blends easily into any room. The Sound 53 is better than the Sound 23 or Sound 43 in that it has individual control of bass and treble (as well as preset equaliser settings) and can record to SD card or USB memory stick. Recording is started with 1 button press on the remote control and works beautifully. If you want to know the full specification and features, do like me and download the use...

#Pure One Classic (2009-06-23) Lovin my radio - not as punchy a sound as the Evoke but still very full. Shame it couldn t go a little louder though. The charge pack makes it truly portable, would recommend adding one if you purchase.
#Good DAB but room for improvement (2009-06-15) Have been using this for the past few months and overall am happy with it. Nice solid feel and aesthetically pleasing. Setup and scan for stations is ABC so won t bore you details on that. I m living in Northern Ireland and had borrowed friend s DAB s to test reception in my area. On the basis on what I expected to receive (6+ stations) I was very happy to pick up 12+ stations. I expect this is among other things due to the very long (extendible) ariel. Switching between stations is in my opinion straightforward and intuitive. I know...
#Pure perfect! (2009-06-04) I searched endlessly for a decent small Dab radio to suit the place to which I wanted it for which was the kitchen,I as ever before purchasing anything read all the reviews about this Pure One and I have got to admit it does exactly what it says on the tin!The sound is crisp and loud for a little unit and the features it has do not disappoint at all. All in all I have to say it has made my time spent in the kitchen a pleasure and I would thoroughly recommend it indeed.
#dab radio (2009-06-01) Pure One DAB/FM Portable Radio - Blackthis product was bought as a birthday product, and as far as i know it is excellent
