#Great for use with Children (2009-06-22) Bought these as primarily for camping. But have found them very useful and also use them far more often than first predicted. Good and simple to use, with 8 different channels to selct from. The units are slim and fit easily in to the pocket, there is a belt clip if one is looking for extra fitting options. Bought some long lasting rechargeable batteries (based upon other feedback) and found them to work fine without having to recharge them on a frequent basis.

#rubbish signal (2009-05-23) bought these walkie talkies for use on holiday. Reception was really bad within about quarter of a mile, crackly and because there is only 8 channels, you can hear other people on the same wavelength. Battery life is also very limited. Have returned item for a refund but had to pay postage both ways and am currently waiting for the money back. Would I recommend them - save your money!

#Works like a charm (2009-03-28) I classify this as a Good Buy, it seems to meet all that is claimed for it and provides the ideal meas of communication with my wife following her return home from hospital and is now convalescing. I can be anywhere in the garden or house and she can get hold of me and talk to me if necessary. Indeed can catch up with me on my way to or from the nearest supermarket which is just beyond its 5km range.

Not tested range beyond half a mile, and that was crystal clear. The batteries supplied were not very good, and I replaced them straight away. #Beware product description (2009-05-15) The product description for these walkie talkies only mentions their maximum range being up to 7km. It was only when I took delivery of them that I learned that this range is only possible in totally open countryside with no obstacles whatsoever. In a built up area this range can reduce to as little as 150m! So they may work fine for what you want them for but don t expect anything like the suggested maximum range unless you are in a totally open area, presumably meaning no buildings, no trees, no hills. . . . .

#These are great! (2009-04-06) Bought these for my five year old s birthday and she loves them. Both she and her seven year old sister have had hours of fun with them. Clear reception, easy to use and by far her favourite present.
