Compact and convenient, the YSP-600 gives you high quality surround sound and much more, including IntelliBeam Automated System Calibration, HDMI in/out, and 6 beam modes.

#Ideal for opera lovers (2009-06-29) The one thing which prevents me giving it 5 stars is the absence of a radio tuner, which would not have been too much to ask for at this price. This unit is particularly good for anyone who often plays DVDs of opera as these do not have lots of special effects so there is not a lot of point in going for a full 5 speaker setup, it reproduces the orchestra and singers well and gives a feeling of the ambience of the opera house or concert hall. But it is not a miracle worker so older recordings will still be prone to sounding less than perfect and ma...
#Promising (2009-06-28) The Yamaha does create surround sound effects with movies when used on the 5-beam, 3-beam or my surround mode. Even if your room configuration is not ideal the my surround mode will work. For normal TV viewing I found little difference between the TV speaker(Sony LCD) and the Yamaha which is to be expected. The Yamaha can also be used with music sources. I have a Squeezebox Duet connected to the unit via optical. Music sounds better on Stereo than on the beam modes but my surround also works and creates a wider sound-field. I didn t find the music perform...
#Great alternative if you can t have a full surround system (2009-04-12) Bought the YSP600 and a Yamaha YST FSW050 subwoofer - they both fit under the TV on the stand so it s all in one place with no speakers around the room. At first it took a day or so to get used to the slight shift in the sound source as it is now fired from under the TV from the YSP rather than from the TV speakers, but now it seems totally normal. I use it in stereo for standard over the air TV watching and 5. 1 mode for DVDs. The YSP600 provides a good alternative to a proper surround sound system. It gives ...
#Sound at last (2009-03-01) I used to have difficulty hearing the voices, especially on films. The T. V. sound being turned to the full. Since I installed the Yamaha sound surround system I find I need to turn down the sound button. Every sound is heard now. This is a wonderful device which I would not want to be without.
#fantastic (2008-12-13) ive got the YST-FSW050 and it is fantastic the size the sound all very good got it connected to the Yamaha YSP-600 with my panasonic 50pz tv all i can say you will be blown away with the sound 5 stars all the way

#Great Deal!!! who need plasma!! (2009-04-30) Giuseppe Grassi says: Great Projector!!! Brilliant colors even if in you are in bright room, superlative contrast and many ways to customize the images as you like by software simply push a button, very quite fan and good sound. I didn`t believe that sharp image, on my ¡§entire¡¨ home wall, can come from a projector. It comes with a good number of cables, and a nice bag so you can easily bring your projector everywhere. The only slight bad point that the DVD slot in is on the back and not from the side (better solution) so you can`t plac...
#From lounge to Cinema in one easy lesson! (2009-02-04) I was very pleased with the ease of use of this projector and the quality the images it produces. It really did give me the feel of being in a Cinema watching some of my favourite films and comedy series. Even when projected onto a light wall which is not actually white did not detract from the quality of the pictures. From a low level platform the image is thrown well up onto the wall so no precarious balancing on higher levels. Altering screen size and focus couldn t have been easier plus the noise level from the fan is neglega...
#Excellent entertainment (2009-01-04) Before buying we read reviews of the similar model (DV 11) and also those of other (more expensive) projectors, also with built in DVD players. I contacted Optoma to ask what differences there were between the DVD100 & the DV11, they got back promptly to say the projectors were the same apart from the colour of the casing. We decided to buy the DVD100 and have not been disappointed in any respect. The unit is quite compact and the picture & sound quality are excellent. The projector is easy to use, comes with a very good instruction manual and a...

#great projector (2009-04-27) Bought this projector a few weeks ago and was very happy with the performance. This is my first projector so was a little unsure what to expect. I have seen reviews of much more expensive ones in hifi mags so my expectations were not that great. But after some messing about getting it mounted on the ceiling and the correct disiance from the screen I was happy with the results. The picture is great. I don t have Blu Ray but on normal DVD it is exellent. On normal tv it is also very good, depending on what you are watching and which channel and the ...
#Optoma HD700LX - Get it! (2009-04-09) I use this projector with my Virgin+ HD box, Laptop and Ps3 on an 107 screen. It is a fantastic piece of kit and represents great value for money. TV, games and blue-rays movies will never be the same on a smaller screen. With my Surround sound hooked up the overall effect is mind blowing! Get one, you will be glad you did.
#Optoma HD 700X (2009-04-04) Having had problems with connecting my laptop to another digital projector, I was plesently surprised how quick and easy it was to start using this equipment. The quality seems good for such a relatively cheap product and I used it only four days after purchase to give a mini presentation using powerpoint
#Jolly Good (2009-03-03) After much research I chose this superb projector. Small, neat, quite easy to use with a great picture quality. No rainbow effects, no fan hum and no fuss of any sort. Will project from any device I care to think of. At the moment it s running off a cheap Asda HDMI DVD with old computer speakers and it s wonderful. Clear picture even in normal daylight. Draw the curtains put on Lord of the Rings and the world becomes a better place. Great product at a good price.
#stunning quality for the price (2009-03-01) I am using this projector on a 100 screen and the picture quality is pin sharp. this is a great machine for the price and the fan hardly makes a sound.

#Poor focus and image (2009-06-01) Bought this item to display movies from the ipod and was really disappointed with the quality of the image and the lack of focus control and returned it. Searched for another projector and found the Microvision Pico P which is coming out later in the year which uses lasers and promises better images and always in focus. The early video of it on their website looks really good. Looking to check it out once it comes and hope it is better than the last purchase.
#Beware (2009-04-12) You can only use this projector with an ipod not a computer. . . . lots of hassle and haven t managed to use yet. . .
#Brilliant, but with huge flaws (2009-03-09) The Pico is so brilliant in so many ways, allowing you to watch pictures or videos on the move, pretty much anywhere. I ve connected the Pico both an iPod touch, iPod nano, and Microsoft Zune, and on all three devices, the picture was far better than I expected, assuming a good quality video rip. The colours were good, and in total darkness we could easily watch a video of 50 or so inches. The battery life, while not stunning, easily went up to 1. 5 hours on max brightness, and with 2 included batteries, chances are you ll be just fine. ...
#rubbish (2009-02-14) got it for work, wrong reasoncouldnt get a decent picture, then bulb went after 10 minsso returned!
#Great for a motorhome ! Great for anywhere really (2008-12-17) I bought one for my husband to use in the motorhome, its so dark in there and you can project it of the blinds its just great. Its easy to use, just wish they had supplied a ipod cable, luckly we had one. For us it worked straight out of the box without any problems or issues with focus wheels etc. It was simple to use really and the quality is great - pixels are not a issue. We are using it for ipod movies, dvds, tv and also for presentations. It really is very good my only negative point is the speaker but you...
