#A Fantastic Piece of Kit (2009-08-17) I didn t get this from Amazon. I was in PC World pricing up a computer cable when I saw this little gem. It was reduced to £99 as the remote control and the Ipod dock were missing. I managed to get the store to give me a remote from a different Sony and I was away. #good but slow to load (2009-04-30) I bought Sony NASE35HD as a reconditioned unit - but it was good as new in the box- you wouldn t be able to tell it had been used or returned. The big let down for this system is the slow upload speed of the music from memory stick or external HDD. - About 1 hour for 1gb of music. #If setting a static IP and submasks do not mean a thing to you, better stay away! (2009-07-15) I understand this is a high end product. I also dig that in theory this is a fab product, it can do all sorts of stuff for you. But if you are like me, that setting static IP and submasks do not figure in your regular vocabulary, you should think twice whether this is the right storage solution for you. #Would definitely recommend it (2009-04-14) Great product, very solid and I think certainly supports the you get what you pay for idea. I would have given it 5 stars if the initial install instructions were just a little clearer - I started it up and ended up with only 2Tb of storage rather than 4. I had to reboot and re-initialise the raid volume. Other than that its all very good and the built in media server is easy to setup. I can t comment on some of the more advanced stuff like security and windows domain integration as I didn t use it.

#Review (2009-03-21) Having tried various NAS solutions throughout the years, this wipes the floor with them. Yes it is more on the costly scale of the market, but it s worth every penny. It s the only NAS I have had up and running in 5 minutes. Great utilities, easy to manage, even those less technical will have no problems getting it up and running. Also really impressed with the expandability of the device, it now supports 1. 5 Tb drives giving over 4Tb storage, so when you have more money available you can upgrade to give you the extra storage you need.
