#Exactly what you need to connect IDE motherboard to SATA drive (2009-06-21) My DVD drive had packed up and I ordered a new one only to find I needed a SATA converter to make it work. This kit came with everything that you need to install a SATA Drive to an IDE motherboard. The instructions are clear and I fitted it within 5 mins, with no previous experience !! A further 5 mins later I had my new DVD Drive up and running. It does exactly what it says on the tin and very good value for money.
#Misleading (2009-06-06) This product alone will not get a SATA hard drive to work with an existing IDE motherboad. Out of the box power will only be supplied to the adapter not the SATA hard drive so an additional power cable (StarTech. com 6 inch LP4 Male to Serial ATA Power Adapter) is required. I also needed a two way splitter (Molex 5. 25 Two Way Power Splitter) too. That aside it s a good product!
#Great (2009-02-08) I bought one of these to connect my ide hdd to my sata mobo, it worked like a charm! one thing to note, you need to connect power to the hdd and the adapter for it to work, don t try to set the hdd as a slave it needs to be in master mode.

NB. There are certain drives which do not appear to work with these cables. Owners of Western Digital and Sonnet drives have recently (June 2009) that the connectors do not seat correctly in the drive and therefore the connection is not sucessful. The manufacturers are working towards a solution for this.

#Esata to Esata cable (2009-04-14) I bought the cable to link an external drive WD 1TB My Book Home Edition to my laptop (using a 2 port eSata cardbus adapter already installed) but after connecting the external drive, the computer would not recognize the external drive. I read other reviews to this product and after trimming with a knife, 1 mm of the plug s outter casing to expose more of the metal, it worked fine. It s great for the price, but not so good if you don t like DIY jobs :)
#This is a data cable (2009-01-28) In case you were wondering about this cable, its for data, the other reviewer seemed to think it is a power lead
#Didn t work. (2009-01-24) I bought this to work with my Western Digital My Book Studio Edition 1TB Firewire 400 / 800 & eSata External Hard Drive on my PC running Vista. It simply did not work. The drive didn t even power up. It did nothing. It is obviously to do with the connector which seemed to be too loose and didn t fit snug. Might try the Sandberg eSata 7p-7p 2 m

#Its working. But you need to be carefull (2009-06-28) No power cable included in the set is annyoing. In the begging the converter was not detectable by BIOS. To make it work be sure that converter is covering all pins of IDE port (the last two pins on down are very often missed). Its about 2. 5x faster than my IDE harddisk (tested with hdparm -t in Linux):33. 2MB/s vs 81. 4MB/sQuite good product.
#SATA Converter (2009-05-12) Pretty flimsy construction. No SATA power cable so I had to go and purchase separately. Could not get my computer to recognise the drive so not sure how it functions. I would opt for the SATA drive plug in rather than the motherboard.
#Works (2009-03-02) I used this product to connect a 250GB sata laptop 2. 5 hardrive to my PC. The first one was faulty and I was sent a replacement straight away. It is so easy to install, connect the adapter to the motherboard via IDE, connect the power cable to the board (this cable only supplies power to the board and not to the sata device). Next connect the sata data cable. The only additional cable required is a power cable from the PSU to power the hardrive. Before you buy look inside your PC for clearance, mine was a tight squeeze.
#It works (2009-02-04) Got this to install a 1Tb hard drive inside my ageing PC. I didn t want to replace the motherboard because it had no sata socket, and as everything was working ok, why ditch it. 1Tb hard drives for the normal/old IDE are non existant, and I wanted to keep all of my music on one hard drive, system on t other. This little board and connection cables allow you to connect a new SATA drive to your old IDE socket inside your old computer. It works. Buy it!
#Works a treat (2008-05-16) Plug this into your motherboard IDE, add the SATA drive and you are away. It s that easy. You will need a spare power line from the PC PSU to power the device, but most PSUs have spares these days. It comes with a SATA cable. Very useful piece of kit if you want a SATA drive and you only have an IDE on your MOBO.

Zalmans new Super Thermal Grease will ensure an excellent thermal connection between the heat source (e.g. CPU) and heatsink. It maximises heat transfer by eliminating minute air gaps caused by the two irregular surfaces. It is conveniently packaged in a bottle which has a brush attached to the cap. This enables easy application and also prevents unnecessary waste of grease. Messy fingers are a thing of the past! The sealed bottle also ensures that the grease is kept fresh for a longer period of time, which is useful because one bottle of ZM-STG1 will be enough for ten or more applications.

#Does the job (2009-06-22) I wasnt looking for anything performance related here and couldnt compare to other products. There was enough in the jar for 4 processors. My only issue is that it dries very quickly so you have to be quick putting it on.
#Not a performance (2009-04-27) This stuff is little better than what is on the stock cooler on new CPU. It only reduced my CPU temperatures by under 1C and nobody would call that a significant improvement. So, if your looking for big improvement in cooling look elsewhere. Nevertheless, this is a really good product if you regularly change your CPU, Super Cooler and Motherboard. I ve changed all of these components 6 times in the last 5 months. Because the Zalman thermal compound is so thin it never acts like a bonding agent. Therefore, the chances of you bending the pins on a AMD...
#5 stars thermal and hands clean (2009-04-25) Zalman STG1 Super Thermal GreaseIm a pc home builder and this is the one i use because with the brush hands clean and as well you just put a thin layer without get more than you need on top of the cpu. search on the net the reviews about it and the manufater name says everything ZALMAN. If you are a gamer see the ZALMAN FPS GUN Mouse, trust me its the best for FPS and more games. (YOUTUBE have a nice video). Zalman forever in watercooling as well. All products avaiable in AMAZON.
