The 2GB format is ideal for use in car audio which has USB plug in socket for MP3 etc. It allows to have more than one unit being used at any time without the high cost of 4, 8 or 16 GB units which would not be used to full capacity. #Nice design with a small flaw (2009-05-01) I was looking for a medium speed flash drive without cap. The Cruzer Micro was, overall, the right choice. The only small flaw I found: You can retract the USB connector into the stick, kind of eliminating the need for an extra cap. However: The connector is unprotected, and dust, breadcrumbs, whatever is in your pocket can still collect in the connector. The dust will then also go onto the USB connector of the PC, spreading the pain. I did a qick speed test, with 1. 1 GB of data, around 260 images with 3MB each, and a few larger videos. ...

#A pain to get rid of U3 (2009-04-08) Great USB memory stick and I like the fact that the end slides into the device preventing it frmo damages. Although the U3 software that comes on it is very annoying and as I use MACs and Linux it is worthless to me and jsut wastes space. To get rid of it i had to download a program and then find a computer with windows on to run it. Other than the U3 i think this is a great product.

#Great little device. (2009-06-08) This is perfect if you don t want a physically huge drive. I use mine in my car stereo, and it s so small I don t hit it when changing gear. I ve had the 4Gb version for ages and it s never gone wrong, which is why I bought its big brother. Each size is a different colour, so I know which is which. I also like the flashing blue light which gives it its name.

I needed this to back up a lot of music files as my computer had been acting up. The transfer speeds were very high and although the actual space available is about 14-15gb there is plenty for any of my needs. The only dislike i have, as i am quite keen on good aesthetics, is the lid. It really spoils the clean finish of the main unit. #Reliable - does what its supposed to do. (2009-05-10) I purchased this product because I needed a memory stick with greater capacity. It does what other memory sticks do providing portable data storage. It is small and neat but, like other Lexar JumpDrive memory sticks, this one is fairly robust - well suited for the various knocks and bumps a memory stick suffers in your pocket, bags and other places. Some kind of lanyard or key ring with this item would make it ideal.

#Quick delivery- but not what I ordered. (2009-03-11) Despite the quick delivery of the item, it clearly wasn t the USB drive that I ordered. I would have rated it lower but for the fact that essentially all USB pen drives are very similar and that the one delivered seems to work ok.

It is strongly built and won t break easily. It is very small and neat to operate with, and visually pleasing. #Chop shoped usb stick? (2009-05-05) It states on this page that there is a distinctive blue led. I revived mine today and in fact it is orange and identical to the 4gb normal drive. It appears as if someone took a normal drive and replaced the plastic with metal. Although a blue light is not the end of the world it is false information further supports my suspicions also the case hasn t been fitted together properly and looks like it could be a problem.

#excellent product (2009-04-07) The phrase does what it says on the tin comes to mind. If you re looking simple, straight foward storage you won t go wrong with this. Advantages - no separate cap to lose, just enough weight to let you know you have it with you. Disadvantages - can t think of any. This is my second Sandisk Cruzer, the last one had a plastic casing. By the way it went through dry cleaning in the pocket of my trousers and came out the other end still working, although the case had broken (hence the metal version this time). That s good enough for me.

#Buy under owners risk! (2009-04-06) I have owned this memory stick for about 1 1/2 years now and it has been very good, worked very well. However, recently I plugged it into the PC and the light flashed and the computer didn t detect it. I have lost all of my work on it. But I backed it up at home. I could just be a one of, but loosing all of your work isn t a pleasant feeling. So, I would have recommended it, but now I wouldn t anymore.

#Nice workhorse USB.... (2009-03-29) Got this as a work USB pen, mainly to carry around data at university etc. . . Wanted something that would hang on my keys and be bashed about but not break and so far so good. It s fast enough for me, the outer casing is really tough and the slightly annoying software that boots up when you plug it in can be disabled.
