I wanted a remote control for playing dvds on my pc but all the reviews for pc remotes seemed to suggest they had some issues so I bought this wireless mouse instead. As other people have pointed out there are no annoying flashing lights on it and it comes with a handy extension cord (approx. 1. 5m) for your desktop. It is smaller than I thought but I am used to an older, bigger mouse. The scroll button also has the useful horizontal movement action, which is a added bonus. The best part is the almost invisible dongle which is as small as a Pound coin. I plugged it in and was able to use it about 20 seconds later, my computer loaded up all the necessary drivers very quickly. Having previously had a third party optical system this Microsoft one is considerably better. Ergonomically, both the keyboard and mouse are very good, and the fact that it is Microsoft means the keyboard offers many Windows shortcut keys that my previous one didn t, e. g. keys for calculator, mail, web etc. One very minor annoyance is that having now got a caps lock indicator light, it is on the receiver which I cannot see when working. I use it with two laptops and it s easy to carry around. It was delivered in about three days with the no charge postage option. (2009-06-15) I like others was shooting in the dark as they say, I was recommended by an artist that a Tablet was the way to go for my art and design work in photoshop etc, I touch up photos and a little free hand drawing in photoshop and the wacom tablet is brilliant.
