#It works fine, problem solved (2009-05-25) This adapter does what you expect it to, it will invisibility fit onto your computer and you ll forget its there. I got it for my new MacBook Pro, I have an audio I/O device that connects via firewire 400 which the new MacBook doesn t have a slot for, but with this little adapter I can use my device. Now I m happy.

#Does the job but their are better ways (2009-04-11) The adapter does what it says on the tin, adapts a firewire 400 male to a firewire 800 female. Perfect for the new macbook pro s which only have an 800 port. Downside? It doesn t fit the macbook port in a snug enough way to stop it being knocked out. Now whether the 800 ports don t have a way to hold them in (the 400 has a bobble on the male end and a dip on the female for s secure connection) or the adaptor is just slightly too small on the male end I don t know. #Does what it says on the box (2009-04-05) Not much to say about this product, other than that it does exactly what it says it does. I have a new Mac Mini which doesn t have Firewire 400. . . . . which I didn t realise. Just the gizmo to save the day.

#Outstanding value! (2009-07-03) For people that are wanting to buy a cable from the high street. DO NOT. Simply because, have you seen how cheap this little gem is!? This is quite literally pocket money at best, and it s no frills to cut down costs, but then again, why would you expect flash packing on 1. something so cheap, and 2. On a damn cable!? It s a cable, so it dosent exactly have to be cosmetically pleasing does it!? #Not up to Belkin standards (2009-06-28) I received two of these. The first already had a bent pin in one end and was replaced. The second stopped working after a fairly minor bump. The plugs are too big and get in the way. Overall a waste of money.

The cable that came with my Camcorder wasn t current enough to deal with modern computers. When will they realise that they need to future proof their products a lot better?! This cable was inexpensive and exactly what I needed. It instantly connected to my Laptop, which triggered the system to source and install the appropriate driver. #Works with no frills! (2008-12-18) As described and fit for purpose. Not a lot else to shout about really. If you are looking for a firewire cable to connect your device to a laptop then look no further. Videos uploaded fine from my Samsung digicam and the 4pin conectors plugged in fine and securely. At such a low price you can t go wrong.
