#Cables are cables (2009-06-14) Cables arrived promptly and in good condition, as expected. In a larger PC (with lots of bays) the cables might be a little short, which is what I found (hence four stars), but only by a few inches. They work as expected so I would recommend them.

#Transfer.... (2009-06-30) Great idea! Had a dead desktop PC that I needed some stuff from. It was past the stage of an OS repair so all I simply had to do was take the HDD out plug it into this and it worked straight away. Very great product to have about the house, if use computers a lot that is.

#A very useful accessory (2009-06-24) I had been looking for a hard drive enclosure that could be opened up to change the drive. This is much better than having the drive enclosed and can be used for different sized drives. It was so easy to connect and I was soon clearing off unwanted files from a old 5. 25 drive that had been gathering dust in a drawer, now to be used to back up my photos.

At present I m upgrading several laptops and this makes it easy to check the old discs I have lying around and get them ready for a clean install in a laptop. #eSata to eSata Cable (2009-04-13) I bought this cable to link an external drive WD 1TB My Book Home Edition to my laptop (using a 2 port eSata cardbus adapter already installed) but after connecting the external drive, the computer would not recognize the external drive. I read other reviews to this product and after trimming 1 mm of the plug s outter casing to expose more of the metal, it worked fine. Thanks to Marsh Ape and Rich JB (reviews below) for the valuable tip. Like Marsh Ape says it s great for the price, but not so good if you don t like DIY jobs :)

#Cheap cable requires trimming of casing to work properly (2009-01-03) I tried this eSATA cable with my 500GB Western Digital Home Edition but the laptop would not recognise the drive unless I wiggled the connection to the drive. To create a stable connection you need to trim approx. 1mm from the plug s outer casing to expose more of the metal plug so it will sit fully into the HDD casing. I used a Stanley knife, it took about 1 minute. Now it is rock solid. Great for the price, but not so good if you don t like DIY jobs :)

#1M eSATA cable (2008-12-22) This cable is OK, but I had to cut the plastic back a little around the ends so I could push them in far enough. I have read on a few sites that it is a common problem. Be careful if you try this and it only needs about 1mm cutting back all the way around.

#Did not work (2008-12-17) I bought this to connect my Western Digital My Book Home Edition 1TB USB 2. 0 Firewire & eSata External Hard Drive to my PC. It did not work. My PC failed to recognise the drive (XP and Vista64bit) I purchased Sandberg eSata 7p-7p 1 m and my drive works perfectly. It s worth spending an extra couple of pounds to make sure you get a cable that works!

#Spot on. (2009-06-10) These are cheap no frills but work fine. No clips just push on but mine have been in for a while with no problems.

#Great. (2009-06-08) I bought these at a very cheap price and am very pleased. They do exactly as you would expect, with no problems. I have them connected to my SATAII harddrives. Works perfect. No probs. The only possible bad thing I could say, is that they come in a postage bag and thats it. There is no clamshell or plastic protective, but this is all better for the environment. Just buy it. Theres two aswell :)
