#Easy Fit! What s the catch? (2009-05-14) Purchased this gate and with the usual Amazon efficiency it arrived on time. However fitting the gate was a different matter, easy enough in itself but after adjusting the gate to enable the catch to operate the bottom of the gate snagged the tread bar. Hardly a suitable experience. Happily Amazon, with equally efficiency accepted the goods back.

I found that more on the side of the extension that if you push (fairly hard) side the screw that pushes against the wall has some play in it, and i m sure if i push hard enough it will collapse. There is also play on the otherside, i spoke to Lindam and they said because the bottom of the gate sits next to the wooden skirting and the top the gap is bigger there wont be an exact fit. #Excellent gate thats easy to install (2009-05-13) My daughter is now reaching just over 10 months so is crawling everywhere. I needed a gate for the top of the stairs and this one seemed to have good reviews and easy to install. I found it easy to put together though I did have to order an extension which was free except for the postage. Extensions arrived quickly, were easy to fit and the gate itself is very good and secure.

#Great Gate, and safe. (2009-05-04) These are great, I bought 2 (one for top and bottom of the stairs) and were really easy to set up. Ok you have to drill a few holes per gate, but supplied is a piece of paper with the dimensions that you put against the wall, then mark the drill holes. There really stable once up.

#Be Careful! (2009-04-17) Set up was quite easy for this gate and the first time we used it no problems. However, when carrying the gate it is very easy to touch the adjusting buttons on the top and bottom rail and alter the width of the gate or as we found out allow the rails to move very slightly and not click into place which means the gate is no longer rigid and could fall over with relatively light pressure. Fortunately we were using it as a puppy barrier and not at the top of the stairs for a toddler. So just a word of caution, but on the whole a good product.

#Not a gate (2009-03-10) As noted in earlier reviews this is a barrier rather than a gate (I should have read those earlier I suppose) It s a bit fiddly to get the fitting right when first installing, but so far my 2 year old hasn t managed to remove it from the door, despite concerted efforts.

#Product is misnamed (2009-02-15) Zero stars. Product is called a flexigate. I always thought that a gate was a moveable opening in a wall or fence. This gate doesn t open and must be removed it you want to go through it. It is basically a flexi-fence. Item is being returned.
